Pretty depressing actually reading through this thread. Couple of things come to mind: If it's working, why change it?? First half we roll the pocket and run the ball hard. And we move the ball. Why would we change ?? I completely agree we need to see more of Streveler. Keep him in after he does the second or third down sneak, and change the look of the offence. Hmmm, I just said why would we change things. I'm not advocating for a full qb change, just a different look for a series and then back to Nicholls. Personally we should've killed Regina, they scored 14 points off of 2 plays that simply shouldn't happen. This week in our barn I think we kick their ass.

If 33 gets hurt, our season is over...He ran for close to a personal best at the LDC, and there's no way we should've lost that game with that kind of production.

What I want to see today is a competitive game that doesn't get decided until late in the 4th quarter. I want to see an offence that plays with intensity and imagination, and is not afraid to make a change at QB ( or any other position ) if things aren't working. I'd love to see Bennet throw a pass out of a fake punt. I absolutely don't want to see our soft, pathetic zone coverages on defence. I want the same thing out of the D that I said above, intensity and imagination! At the end of the day home field is a huge advantage in these next 2 games, and I expect a split. 2 losses would be devastating and must result in a coach getting fired.

Very much agree with this concise statement. I very rarely watch other teams play, and I watched the whole Montreal/Ottawa game the other night. What a breath of fresh air in Montreal with their new QB! Their entire team was energized, and took it to Ottawa. I'm not ready quite yet to advocate for a QB change, but our predictable offence really needs some sort of a shot in the arm. And I just can't accept that losing Dressler has killed us offensively. I'm pining it on LaPo.

There absolutely must be changes in the defensive coaching staff after the season. I'd be very happy if we made changes today or tomorrow, but I just don't think it's happening this year.

Against the run we are good no doubt. Does the passing yards against include the last two games?? Just wondering because we got shredded.

I'm not completely sure what NFL PR pays, but I think it's wayyyyyyy more than he would make here on the starting roster! At least initially...

Repeatedly over the past few games we are seeing receivers making great catches, and the quarterbacks brimming with confidence that are throwing these balls. I'm thinking our O isn't playing with a ton of confidence right now.

Our offense is too predictable...end of story.

The unpredictability of this league is truly amazing. I fully expect us to beat Ottawa this week, and believe it will be at least a 2 score difference in our favour.

I'm hoping but not very confident about Dressler playing.

I assume a large portion of the offensive struggle can be attributed to not having #7 in the game after Q1. That being said, #15 didn't have a great game. Very impressed with Medlock, Harris, Bighill, whole D line......and of course the fans who turned the volume right up for the last minute 20!! And how about our back-up qb Bennett making a sweet special teams tackle !! I've never seen a back up qb play specials, I assume this is pretty uncommon?

And that pays almost all of the salary cap I think.

Coming off the bye week I'm worried we may be a bit flat to start. I'm hoping for a strong defensive game for sure. Heard yesterday on 1290 that the D has only given up more than 20 points twice this year?? If I've got that right that's pretty good imo.

We are very fortunate to have a back-up QB that really is an option should something happen to Nichols. Haven't had this luxury in years! Right now we are totally winning in the battle of the trenches, and that is having an amazing effect on 33. And as long as he keeps buying the boys double cheeseburgers, we should be just fine!

There seems to be two major paths to success in the CFL.....QB play, and the battle of the trenches. We easily won both of those last week, and I see no reason why we won't again.

I'm still waiting for someone to let me know where I can purchase a ticket on the "fire Hall" bandwagon. And seriously, our defence just simply has to play better. I'm all good that we've used our rookie qb against 2 of the best teams in the league and he did okay, but the off-season changes to the defence were supposed to turn everything around. Last week was a horrible display from the O and the D. I'm expecting a big bounce-back game tonight, and the injection of our starting QB along with home field WILL have a positive outcome.
