This, plus it's always fun to have a team to cheer for when watching East vs. West games. Those are the only non-Bombers games that I find myself interested in watching.

It'll be better for them b/c they don't have to give up a 2nd rounder to get him. I'm pretty certain they'll get him for less than $3M too.

I still laugh every time I see Dieter hucking the ball with that big ass towel hanging from his waist. He looks like he just walked out of the sauna.

If Moore, Kelly or Denmark is ever hurt I'd start three Canadian receivers. JFG, Kohlert and Watson are all better than any of the other imports we have hanging around(yeah I'm looking at you Romby).

Montreal will fold yet again if they have more than two seasons of loser teams. Fans in Montreal don't support losers. They barely support winners, unless they are called "the Canadiens". It was a farce how only three thousand would show up for an Expos game. Just ridiculous. We should be back in the East by 2016. Unless they open another expansion franchise in Quebec City or Halifax.

I care, actually.  And the royal blues should be the Bombers main jersey.  I won't stop complaining about it until they make it happen.

What's sad though is that if the Lions make it to the Grey Cup again this year, BC Place will be full of fake fans decked out in Lions gear that won't have seen a regular season game in person or on TV all season. I saw it in 2011 and it was just pathetic. Most of the "Lion" fans there couldn't name any other player other than maybe Lulay or Geroy.

The Stamps haven't lost Rene Paredes to the NFL & he's been the best kicker in the CFL the past 3 seasons. As soon as we have some sunshine, someone always talks about rain.

Jim Toth made a comment the other day that got me thinking about the Winnipeg media and why they consider themselves as expert.  Jim Toth said, after a Bomber win, "This Bomber win came as a shock because all of us in the media discussed earlier in the week and had the Bomber getting blown out this week".   Looking at the media, I doubt any of them have played any serious sports; none of them look like athletes.  They all are likely education in communications, maybe an English degree
 
A few days before the season started, I called into CJOB on one of their "panel nights" with Penton, Toth, and I think Bob Irving was on too.  I said I thought the Bombers win 8 games and make the playoffs in a crossover and Toth and Penton basically laughed at me. 
 
Toth comes across as quite arrogant sometimes, like a "know it all".  When I see him at Bomber practice he's always socializing with the other media, not even paying attention to what's going on.  One practice I was at last year, Buck Pierce threw a total of one pass, and Toth sends out a tweet that "Buck is looking great at practice today", because he interrupted his socializing and glanced over to see Buck complete a pass. 
 
Another example is last year, the day before the Banjo Bowl, the Bombers had an open house for fans at IGF with festivities, free lunch etc.  Paul Wicek was there and tweeted, "there's a disturbing number of Rider jerseys at IGF today".  I replied to his tweet and said, "I'm here right now and I count a total of 4 Rider jerseys...you find that disturbing?"  Wicek then blocked me for that.  He's just trying to create a story by reporting false information.  I called him on it, but he doesn't want to hear it. 
 
My question is why do the Winnipeg media who follow the Bombers consider themselves to be "experts"?  Some consider themselves as the authority.  Sure they follow the Bombers and report on Bomber related news, but what makes their opinions more valuable than anyone else?  I'm starting to put less and less weight on what the media says, and more weight on what some of the more credible posters have to say on forums like these.  

I look at it the other way.

You don't think he tries on high profile free agents? Rumour is we offered more then what Statsny signed for. The Jets are a small market and a perennial non playoff team.
Tough sell to bring the high profile free agents in. It is a two way dialog. Just because we want them doesn't mean they will come here.

I think the Bombers need to chip in to get Willy some wicked tattoos to make him look like more of a badass.  He looks too much like a choir boy in those TSN promos.

Remember the "Joey! Joey! Joey!" chants?Well I don't know why I'm commenting, because I think Willy is going to be a very good QB for several years, but I'd be foolish to believe that there's no possibility he doesn't pan out.

I'm a fan of Aberlour, not a fan if it's recent price hike though.
My favourite scotch right now is Bowmore 12. It's got to be the best single malt for its price ($55.) I'm a huge fan of Islay scotches, love the smoke and it keeps you warm in the winter. In the summer a nice highland scotch is nice with its fruits tones.
Glad there's some scotch drinkers on here, lookin forward to possibly trying some new suggested malts.
