I honestly don't really understand why some fans think they deserve to know everything that is going on? Cuz you pay for a ticket i guess is the reasoning? Gotta be it actually... In the big picture tho, it's just football and it's for entertainment purposes, if you aren't being entertained or it's bothering you that much, man oh man, maybe should step away for a while and maybe not watch.. Honestly, i don't mind the criticism of the team but stuff like this? Man oh man, it's been MOS MO since he got here.. why don't people understand that? It's borderline insanity here actually. Why does it piss people off so much? and Why do some fans think they need to know every little thing that is going on with this club? Is it the community owned thing? people think they have the right to know everything cuz they think that means they are owners of the team? I don't get it. Some of these topics are crazy, got enough issues on the team, and bet your ass MOS is aware of them, he's just not going to come out in public and say it. What's the issue there? Do some people honestly believe they know more than the people who are being paid to do this for a living? Paul Maurice said it best a few weeks ago, the coach of the jets when he said basically we don't have an obligation to tell you what is going on in the room.. I loved his quote too, "i can make you ******* cry in that room".

MOS won't say things in the media, he hasn't all year, vague answers like every coach in the CFL gives, someone find me a coach in the CFL who constantly gives the media the inside scoop. I think i need some legit proof and not the type of proof that involves i heard from my cousins friends sisters brothers best friend who was at the bar at the same time they were. Really easy to speculate and BS but... for accusations like that, need legit proof cuz it's pretty much going over the line in my opinion. From BOGO is a coke head to wheeler punching out kane? What MOS does in his Press Conferences is what Paul Maurice does in his, He gives you a vague answer, because and like Maurice said to the media a few weeks ago, you don't need to know everything that is going on in the room. Honestly, Sometimes things are better left in the room. As fans, for some reason we seem to think we need to know it all, and if they aren't telling us everything, then they are lying or bs'ing us. But that's not the case, we need to remember what we are, fans, fanatics, we don't need to know it all, we only get little snippets and nuggets every now and then, can read in to those nuggets all we want and i suppose this is part of what this forum is really all about. For example, MOS in his PC on the official site when asked about wilson and jackson, said wilson played ok but would like to see Wilson play the slot position, why wasn't he play the slot position? is there a disconnect between what MOS wants and what MB is doing? There might just be, that's what this forum is for.. to discuss issues relating to the football club, i don't really think many people honestly care what MOS tells the media cuz i think for the most part, we all understand that we aren't getting the entire story ,we aren't getting the full truth, we are getting vague answers, and that's all we really deserve and need to know. Is it the right approach? It depends who you ask but i do notice that for the most part, if you watch other PC's from other coaches, they all say generally the same thing, they answer the questions really in riddles, very vague generic responses.. If you really break it down, you can probably, if you have the time, break it down and come up with several different commonly used phrases or "quotes" that every coach from every team uses. In hockey, it's generally "we just need to play our system" "we just came out a bit slow today" "we just need to be ready to compete at the start of the game" "we need to play harder" "we need to execute better". The general vague answers, Same with football, every coach in every PC gives the same answer pretty much, the coaches who come out and throw people under the bus in the media, they don't last too long these days it appears. As fans we need to remember that what goes on in the dressing room, as much as maybe some want to believe it's our business, it's really NOT at all. You know what would shock me? If MOS or a coach in football came out and said 'we suck, we deserved to lose, we have no talent, playoffs? hell we couldn't even bit a pee wee team, our oline? please? they suck, our qb sucked tonight too, our D couldn't stop ****, we suck, we had no chance and i knew it all along, jesus christ why did i take this god forsaken job even, what was i thinking, our talent is crap, we suck, awful... rrrrrrrrrrraaahhhhhbbbbllleeee rahhhhhhhbbbbllleee... That would shock the crap out of me cuz you just don't see that this day and age anymore. This old school mentality that we as fans deserve to know everything going on in the locker room and deserve to know all the answers, it needs to stop cuz it ain't going back to that, was it ever really like that to begin with even? i suppose in some sports more than others... but what you see now a days, is the guys who are hot heads in the media and call out their players all the time(john torterella comes to mind in hockey), they really don't last that long. Players tune them out. What a coach says to the media isn't what he is telling the players behind closed doors. You can bet your ass that MOS has reemed out a few players behind closed doors, bet on it, but why would he do in public? to appease like 20 fans on a message board? nope. Like Paul Maurice said a few weeks ago.. "i could make you ******* cry in that dressing room".

Just a little interesting nuggest from the MOS PC on the official bomber site. When asked about the difference between jackson and wilson, MOS said wilson is faster but jackson is stronger... here's the interesting nugget tho, when asked how wilson did, MOS said he did ok, he did ok in my opinion too, but MOS said he'd like to see Wilson used in the slot position. Well guess the question would be, why wasn't he used in the slot position? Just based on that and some other things i've read recently, seems to me there is a bit of a disconnect between what MOS might want to see and what MB wants to see. IMO, MB is gone in the off-season.

Honestly, i think sacks for is a tad over rated, sacks against is the real story tho. If you can just pressure QB'S, that's enough sometimes to get them off their game, let's use Kevin Glenn as an example, very cerebral qb, doesn't do anything fancy, when he is on, he is on but when he gets hit or has pressure in his face, he crumbles. Same with RAY really, best QB i have seen play in the CFL in my life time, no doubt about it, you pressure him tho and he starts to struggle too. Sacks for is a fancy stat for sure, but that's really all it is, a stat.. would i like to see that dominant pass rushing defensive end? For sure i would, i'm a fan, i love when players get sacks against the other team, it's exciting, AND HE'S SACKED FOR A 10 YARD LOSS, huge play, big momentum changer but you know what... If its 2nd and 5 and you pressure the QB enough so he isn't able to complete that pass to get the first down, it's good enough. Sacks for? nice stat for sure,but really that's all it is.. sacks against? shows you that you have some problems, whether it be oline,scheme or qb play. I think sacks against is an indication of 1. poor oline play, c'mon man, can blame willy last game for most the sacks but this season as a whole? not so much, pretty tough to throw when by the time the ball gets to you, you have a guy in your grill already, 2. poor qb play, last game vs BC was a result of this and probably the most important yet probably most overlooked problem it shows..3. offensive schemes. Pretty obvious the O schemes we run aren't the best and IMO, i don't think MB is using the players to the best of their abilities.

I guess the only real question i have after reading most these posts in this thread is to those who think playing marve gives us a better chance to win... Why do you think this? There is no real reasoning other than "I think he gives us the best chance to win". Why? because he came in with no game film vs calgary and completed half of his passes? He didn't even light calgary up that much, he actually looked very much like a first year CFL QB, running for his life more often than not, yeah he completed a couple nice passes and he made some plays with his feet but besides that? what did he do? Did he come in and win the game? Listen, i like Marve and what he has to offer too but throwing a green as goose poop QB in there to start, man it's setting him up for failure really. Honestly, I would rather us develop Marve slowly instead of throwing him in to the fire, he's a young guy, really young, he could have a very long career ahead of him, i'd like to see that actually but throwing him in now, before he is probably ready, cuz if he was ready, he wouldn't have been running every other play when he did play, is just asking him to fail. Seen it so many times the last few seasons, this backup qb envy that our fan base has is insane, It's like Jets fans wanting Hutchinson to play this season when The team in front of him can't even score 2 goals really per game, what difference can the guy make really? This teams problem isn't at the QB position, it's really not.. it's elsewhere for sure, It's an OC problem, It's a DC problem (even that is kind of debatable) (but you can't really debate it on here cuz people have their opinions on the DC and it won't change regardless) But to throw a green qb in there to start against the best team in the league who now has film on the guy, man oh man, those who repeat history are doomed to fail for sure. Not sure why people want to ruin the development of both our QB's at the same time really. Cuz sitting a healthy willy, has to be if he's starting, and playing a green Marve, who does look like he has the ability to be a good one down the line,is definitely trying to kill 2 birds with one stone. That's not cool at all. I am fan with them starting Willy, he needs the reps, like has been stated several times, first year starter, pretty much a rookie starter at that, he needs the reps to get better and learn. Marve, i'm sure he will get some playing time this game, i'm sure of it, i hope he doesn't come out tho and crap the bed when he does get the chance to get some reps, cuz man with this fanbase, if marve started and struggled this week, the same people calling for him to start would be bitching that he did, why would MOS start marve and ruin him is what they would be saying. Honestly at times, the team is damned if they and damned if they don't. It might not be a popular opinion but i think that one of the problems this team has had, is the fan base is way too impatient.. it's a problem, don't care if people are homers, gloomers,doomers, sky is falling after every losss, whatever.. don't give a crap, to each their own but... throwing in a green qb to play against the best team in the league... it's asking the guy to fail. How many qb's is this fan base gonna ruin?

I don't like the " the team hasn't won in 24 years thing" too much, it's not like it's the same players, heck most BOD members have changed since then, all of them even? I have no idea actually but i'd assume all of them have indeed changed, It's not this regimes fault, this regime was just put together last season, reality really is this season as they named the coaches pretty later in the off-season. Different players, different BOD members, different GM'S, different presidents, different coaches, different players... and none of them have won. Starts to make one wonder if maybe the problem isn't something else actually. Before you learn to walk you have to crawl and before you run you have to learn to walk.. have we allowed them to crawl? perhaps this season we started crawling, pretty close in most games, maybe next year we start to walk and then we will be well on our way to running. Patience i think is needed, 2011 wasn't that long ago folks, we were in the cup that year. Just curious, if we won the cup vs sask a few years back (the one where glenn was hurt the week or 2 b4 the cup) or in 2011, would we still be going on about this? Cuz it's not like the team hasn't made it to the playoffs or grey cup in 24 years, they just haven't won. Things just haven't gone in our way when we made it.. didn't a 14-4 bomber team lose to an 8-10 stampeder team in the grey cup one year too during the drougt?

Perhaps the old dogs on the oline, morley janaury can't be taught new tricks? Our oline has been poor for a long time and those 2 have been the main stays on it for a long time. I have to agree with those who are talking about MB in Montreal with AC, got him killed, destroyed night in night out... Saw the same stuff this year. Can't teach old dogs new tricks whether it be players or coaches.

All i know is for as much as maybe some pretend, gotta be kidding if any of us think we actually know more than MOS and the coaches. I put it on the coordinators for keeping guys in who maybe shouldn't have been in, but really we aren't privy to all the information that the coaches have. And we shouldn't be. Pretty sure when MOS was hired he said a couple things that stood out ... 1. our D and special teams will have to be good cuz our O is going to be a work in progress, becoming a well oiled offensive machine don't really happen over night, especially when your OLINE is garbage. and 2. That he was going to lean on his coordinators this year, like most rookie coaches seem to do, lean on their coordinators and the people they are familiar with. Who do i blame? I guess that 5-1 start is to blame because it kind of disguised for a bit that we really aren't as close as some probably thought we were when we were 5-1. We have lost a fair number of games by a touchdown or less, so... maybe we aren't as bad as some even think. With a few changes and upgrades, especially Oline and getting a go to receiver who can stay healthy, love DENMARK but when it's just DENMARK and Only Denmark, you ain't got much. People wonder why kelly say? Because he was invisible most games. Yeah those big catches stood out but they didn't happen very often. We aren't privy to all the info that the coaches are and rightfully so... It is kind of like the posts where people are complaining about o'shea prasing the team and being all "i was shocked".. what do you want the guy to say? Yeah we missed the playoffs, i figure we would cuz we suck? Nope no coach is going to say that... It's crazy, go from a coach last year who threw players under the bus, people complained about that, to one who doesn't throw players under the bus in the media and what do some do? complain about it. It's crazy. Totally not relevant to this topic but agree with those who suggest that maybe after losses, the site should be locked for 12 or so hours so people can calm down and relax.

If Willy is truly healthty, I'd play him. At least for a quarter or even the first half. I'd give Marve and Portis the rest of the game. But I don't think he's 100 percent healthy and the game doesn't mean much, a WIN is important cuz then we don't go in to next season with a huge losing streak still going on, That's important but... Since i don't feel Willy is 100 percent Healthy, if he is, you play him but again i highly doubt he is, Physically and Mentally really, i don't like him playing this week. But since he is starting, I'd say a quarter or half at max. You don't want to see the guy get killed out there, he's going to be a very good QB but this OLINE has done something to him. Give marve and Portis (be nice to see him too) the rest to the majority of the game tho is what i would do. Under this scenario, I'd start WIlly, play him the 1st quarter, maybe 1st half at max depending on how he's playing and then Play marve and portis the rest. Maybe Marve gets the 3rd and a series or 2 in the 4th, Portis gets the rest.

Career average .906 save percentage Pavs is a well below average NHL Starting goalie he would be a solid backup with those numbers as I believe he only plays well when fresh. I think if the Jets had added another goalie that was even just a bit better it would push Pavs and keep him fresh and his stats would go up. This year he 1st in games played 38th in save percentage .906 even with the Jets stressing Defence this year not nearly good enough. And so I agree its not all of his fault, maybe Hutchison turn into a goalie that can push Pavs for playing time.l I would have thought the Jets would have addressed the problem more aggressively well before now... And getting off to a slow start almost assures that we won't make the playoffs, an article was written last year that showed the odds of making the playoffs if you are not in or very close to a playoff position after 10 games is very low. So the Jets should have traded for a Goalie in the off season to make sure they got off to a Quick start. The problem on The Jets losing streak was they were shut out twice, SJ and Nashville. And in the other 3 couldn't score more than 1 or 2 goals. Can a goalie score goals? Cuz that was the problem earlier on, Heck even in our win vs Colorado yesterday it was Only 2-1. Pav played well, Our team barely beat Carolina who haven't won all year. It's not just the goalie that's been the issue. Cant' score, ain't gonna win.

Willy had a pretty bad game last night. Did score the first TD against BC's D tho in a month i think they said. On TV, the replays Suitor actually showed, guys were totally covered. They did only show 2 tho. When even Suitor is saying this, you know it's true cuz at times they go out of there way to not make excuses for the bombers. No doubt Drew struggled but he's just one guy really...Some of the sacks are on him for sure, some aren't, continually had no time, there always seemed to be pressure in his face or near him, Oline was awful, Just based on 2 TSN replays and Suitor, sounds like receivers were covered. Sacks or not, if he throws them away instead, we are punting. Is the Offense built to best fit the skills of the guys on the field? Why didn't we use Cotton more in the 2nd half, dude was ripping it up vs BC, #1 pass D in the league, #4 Run D.. should have kept running cuz it was working, set up play action, 4 sacks in the first half, 6 in the second. Part of that 6 is on the play calling and Bellefeuille. Yup Willy had a bad game but i think just blaming Willy and going after Willy, doesn't really tell you the whole story to the pathetic offensive performance in the 2nd half last night. Willy was ok at half... Adjustments were made at half to go away from the run for some reason, resulted in 6 sacks and the offense struggling. Maybe what this should show is that if you have a good running game, like we did in the first half, we can compete.. If we get away from it,like in the 2nd half, we can't. Playcalling has been pretty awful and suspect for a while now too. That corner route? why? going away from the run when its working. Bellefeuille first because i believe the lack of run game attributed to the terrible 2nd half.. Willy cuz he just flat out had a bad game, his worst game by far so far, the receivers for not getting open or so it appeared, and just pure execution all around on the Offensive side of the ball. BRUTAL MOS should probably get rid of MB in the off-season, Just being too bland and predictable and just really really WTF are you thinking type of plays being call, or not called, BC couldn't stop the RUN so let's get away from it in the 2nd half when it was working? WTF. D played well until the end, Probably pretty deflated group watching that terrible overall Offensive Performance. Game Balls to Cotton,2 back to back 100 yard rushing games and Denmark for going over 1000 yards and Thats about it on the O side of things.

Injuries have hampered his career big time, guy hasn't had a fully healthy season yet. Someone will give him a chance but it seems likely he will get hurt again cuz that's the M.O. on swiston, pretty good player when healthy but just can't stay healthy. Maybe a change of scenery changes that but highly unlikely it does.

Nah, Oilers can score and do it lots actually, pretty potent at times, they just can't defend and their goalies are back-ups really. I go back to the 2012 draft, they had a choice between a forward they really didn't need or a potential long term #1 dman, They took that forward they didn't really need and that's the issue there. They have completely ignored their Defense and Goaltenders. You can score tons of goals all you want but if you can't stop the other teams from scoring on you, you ain't gonna win much. Oilers tho appear to be on a bit of a roll right now tho. I think they have some talent, the big question marks on that team are the goalies and the Defense.

To be honest, The jets have scored what? 3 goals once? 6 goals in the first game of the season, remember that team? the one who came out and played a dominating first? where did that team go? It's all about effort and heart and some of our guys just lack it at times.. I do think that some of the players think they are actually better than they are at times... But for the most part, have scored 2 or less in every other game, You aren't gonna win many games if you are only scoring 2 goals a game. Jets have played 7 games, 13 goals for, 20 against.. Average of just under 2 for per game, just under 3 against per game. When you can't score, you ain't gonna win. Honestly, if your goaltending is giving up just under 3 goals a game and you can't win, you got bigger problems then just the goalie that's for damn sure. Put it this way, in the first game the Jets scored 6 goals, in the 6 since, they have scored 7. That's a bigger problem than the goal tending. I know theres a segment of the Jet fan base that will blame the goalie no matter what, always blame PAVS even when he plays good enough to win, did he play good enough to win vs Tampa? No but the rest of the team didn't either. It's like bomber fans always blaming the QB or maybe the D this year when the reality is the bigger problem is the opposite. 6 goals in 1 game, 7 in 6 games since then...I don't think PAVS is the answer but... when he's getting no support out there and the team is scoring on average if you remove the first game, 1 goal a game or so... You ain't gonna win much.

Always 2 sides to every story, To me this sounds like LAPO making excuses but... i'm sure there is some truth to it. Where it stops being the truth and starts being fiction is anyones guess though really. Lapo wasn't a good coach, he micromanaged things way too much when he was here, had his hand it too many hats.. It's easy for him to blame MACK for his short comings... But really, what it tells me is LAPO has some sour grapes going on and can't admit that he failed as a coach too. Maybe, probably not maybe but maybe Lapo is right in what he is saying but... at the same time, i've never heard LAPO take any of the blame either. Do have to admit, it's an interesting way to talk about a guy who gave you your first head coaching job in the CFL and probably your last. Honestly, Lapo comes across as being a bit arrogant at times and stubborn as well, he seems set in his ways... Coaches at times need to admit to their own mistakes too and i've yet to read anything about lapo doing that. LAPO is not without blame himself, he pretty much scape goated baressi and did quite a bit of other questionable things as a coach also. Always 2 sides to the story, would love to hear MACKS but we will never get it cuz MACK aint around like LAPO is. Mack is probably at home in North Carolina not really worrying about what went wrong with the team, Meanwhile LAPO comes across as being a bit bitter and kind of holding a grudge of some sort, which is odd cuz LAPO wasn't exactly without his flaws too.

I don't think they are tanking, I just truly feel they aren't good enough, almost content, the players on the ice seem to be content, they don't care, they get paid their millions either way... The team certainly isn't tanking on purpose but... i get the feeling that management and the fans wouldn't really be too upset if they did.
