I dunno. Helle has always been similar after not reaching the end goal. His post season interviews in the past have had similar vibes for sure. He doesn’t like criticism and never blames himself. He just doesn’t and hasn’t ever done that. He’s said he can always work on things to improve but he’s never actually accepted criticism. It’s never him. Watch previous season ending interviews with him. It’s similar. It’s how he’s wired. I’d say he’s probably saying what lots of the core is thinking. I think the article I originally saw said don’t be surprised if Helle played his last game in Winnipeg and I clicked and I didn’t get that sense at all. Bit sensationalized headline there. Helle leads by example I suppose. He’s always been outspoken with the media tho. Honest really. Blunt even. Surely YouTube has his past season ending interviews up. It’s always similar when not winning with him. Would it be nice if he was a bit more humble and said I personally didn’t have the best season minus being on an Olympic all star team? Yup but he’d never say that ever. And in the end Helle isn’t the problem, the problem is signing washed up bums to play with washed up bums. 31 of 32 teams would have waived Nyquist, we gave him minutes pp time ot time and shootouts. Nino also. Names also. But we played them. Why give a kid a shot in the top 6 when you can play defensive guru Iafallo up there. Helle is right.

I actually agree with Helle here. We went out and signed washed up bums to play with other washed up bums. I’d be pissed also but I’d prob recognize that I personally didn’t have the best year either despite having smoke blown up my ass by some MAGA folks. Connor has always been an arrogant conceited prick, the guy refuses to accept any sort of criticism. Always been like this. The reality is he’s going nowhere because 1. He’s pretty right in his general opinion and 2. Goalies get nothing in return. This will be an interesting off season. Perhaps one of the more important ones… I’ll also say you don’t need all of Iafallo names and Nino taking up spots either. 2 of 3 must go by any means necessary. I like AI but he likely has some value where Nino and names have none. Nyquist is exhibit A for what Helle is actually talking about by the way. Can’t disagree with him. I can’t be upset with guys who want to win but teams with lesser goalies have won Stanley Cups so it’s not like Helle isn’t replaceable. Personally my untouchables are Helle 55 81 Gabe Lowry Josh Salo. Let’s throw in Koepke now and Rosen. That’s it Everyone else is on the table for upgrades.

The TC battle for QB 2 and 3 tho just got more interesting no doubt. But appears to be one of perhaps 3 or 4 interesting TC battles at spots, DL, DB and Receiver being the other. Perhaps center OL depending on draft.

Top 3 would be really sick right now. 1st overall could change the franchise but McKenna is a winger so I’m ok at 2 or 3 and get either Verehoff the big D out of North Dakota or even the Swede winger/potential center Stennberg, we like our Swedes recently. Salo. Freij. Sascha all Swedes but also all D men. Jets like their risers tho and they tend to work out. Haven’t been this high of a draft pick since Laine 2nd overall which we won from the 7th position i believe. Last real top 10 pick was Scheifele actually. There are a few interesting names on the top 10 15 list who the jets could potentially take at 2 3 or 7. It’s McKenna then anyone’s guess. Maybe once the lotto is done I’ll post some names I think would be interesting for the Jets cuz like I said picking at 2 or 3, you almost get your choice of who you want. Organizationally a top 3 pick, I’d be leaning heavy to the center prospects. Give me a riser like Scheifele was. There also appears to be 2 riser brothers or cousins on the top 15 list who appear to play together so there’s potential for a Brian Burke Sedin twins type of move also.

I’ll just say this. I was surprised when we drafted a Canadian QB. I liked it after researching him a bit. I actually liked it more when Green Bay gave him a shot and honestly thought he maybe was screwed a bit as on the highlights and stats he looked calm and composed. After his release I hope he’d have seen the bs that goes on down there and realized his best way to the nfl is to come here especially after a few months of doing very little to nothing. I’m happy he signed with us. I think he’s got potential to be a future QB for us, I hope for our sake this kid takes the reins next season or when given a chance and runs with it. I’m a bombers fan and Elgersma is a bomber now. I’m not sure why I originally thought he wasn’t drafted last year. But he was wasn’t he. It wasn’t 2 years ago at all. Last year so honestly waiting a year for a draft pick ain’t so bad. Not sure where the didn’t want to play for Winnipeg stuff came from, ya why would pro players want to play in front of guaranteed sellouts every night but basically it’s Zach for sure then 2 others plus prob keep a 4th if 3 others show they are capable. Looking at it in realistic terms, I’d assume based on just logic that Elgersma is one of those 3. The other 2 , 2 of thorn UFL and terry. Logically terry or UFL boy likely getting cut just based on thorn and Elgersma being younger. Kinda wild, Zach has all the experience Terry? Very little then the other 3? Zero cfl experience. The backup and 3 QB spot is gonna be probably the most interesting training camp battle hopefully they all get enough reps, Terry needs to step up tho as he’s competing with 3 guys with zero cfl experience Any QB can run short yardage cuz if Terry can’t complete a pass after 2 3 years, CUT.

Tell me how many players have you scouted for the 26 draft. These comments are just so internet. The local lots of times don’t want to play for the hometown team because of outside pressures. It’s obvious that the UFL don’t make enough money to qualify. Isn’t it like 10 million in revenue or profit they have to be making. Ya. UFL ain’t close to that.

The lotto would solve some long term problems. Pick 1 you obviously grab McKenna but any of the top 3 4 hell honestly I think at 6 or 7 currently we also will get a legit stud but lotto win allows us to basically chose who. Any of the top 10 outside of McKenna could go 2.

Connor Scheifele Rosen?? Perfetti. ??? Vilardi Koepke ??, Yager Chibrikov Barron ??? Lowry Iafallo. - shutdown line not played like a typical 4th line 2 c is the biggest problem.

For all the hype Elgersma has received and people basically making him 3rd string already, I’m not sure he’s on the active roster. He might be 1 gamed for a bit. He’s not rourke and he hasn’t played a truly competitive game since school. There’s gonna be some rust I’d imagine and some learning curve. I hope the kid shows up and shows out but I think he’s being overhyped lol. Canadian trained QBs just don’t work out normally. Personally I like that thorn kid who called up Kent Austin to talk cfl then came up here and signed. I personally don’t care if a qb is Canadian or not, we already sell out every game, it’s not like he’s gonna draw in more people. All I know in the cfl the guys who come in with hype or former other league mvps, it doesn’t normally work out. It’s the unknown dude nobody talks about who you end up going hmm. Thorn sounds like that guy. I hope Elgersma does well tho and lights it up. Who knows maybe it’s Zach Elgersma Thorn. Who knows really. I don’t think terry is a lock at all and the UFL mvp has as much cfl experience as Elgersma and Thorn.

6th overall it is but could move up with the lotto. Top 3 pick would be very nice. 26 out of 32. That’s where We at. Outscored 24 7 the final 4 games. I’d be looking at Arniel. Sign of a good coach isnt when you are winning it’s when losing and when we lose we lose spectacularly. They didn’t play that bad tonight but losing all 4 since you were eliminated means Scotty having a hard time getting them motivated. I don’t see Comrie going anywhere. He’s loved in the room and he’s a solid cheap affordable backup who knows his role. You don’t want him starting 10 in a row but he’s a guy who could play 25 30 games a season to give Helle some rest as he’s still overplayed. Dom and or milic could use another year in the A or 2. I would suspect Comrie signs relatively quickly. The tending isn’t the problem here. The lack of secondary scoring is. And D really. I’d try Salo Josh together next season and Demelo on the 3rd pair or traded. I’d buy out Nino and names. JT can come back if he wants as not the 2 Center. Chevy needs to make a move for a legit 2 C who fits the mold. I wonder if they trade the pick for that guy. Or if a Samberg plus lambert or pionk plus lambert or something like that Is how they do it. I’d think a d man moves cuz looking at the prospect pool on D, pretty solid. Or maybe it’s a prospect type deal. Honestly thought Yager looked good in his games so maybe you look at running 3 scoring type lines with Yager line being sort of your kid line.

Some do. Some don’t. Each team is different. 3 4 years also isn’t remotely true as this is Yagers 1st pro year and lambert and Chibrikov haven’t exactly lit up the A. Chib brings something tho. He’s a solid pest. Every team needs one but he was also hurt. Salomonnson 2nd season and just like Josh after his 2nd season I think has graduated to the jets full time. Even Helle had a couple ahl seasons only. KC? Barely any. Ehlers didn’t at all. Scheifele? Not really. I mean the last few years they haven’t had that prospect that came in and blew the doors off the place. That’s what happens when you trade picks or draft later. Jets have several guys entering the pro ranks this upcoming season with the moose. None tho are top line talent. That Walton kid has potential as does He. Kevin He. But they prob aren’t Laine or Bédard or guys like that who are nhl ready. Honestly I think the prospect we draft at is it 6th or 7th overall currently will prob be most nhl ready and he won’t be yet. Unless we win a top spot.
