Yeah droves of rider fans showing up in the midst of 3 games in a month against them basically taking over every thread and then trying to so desperately be accepted... it's annoying as all hell. They'd do well to keep themselves out of the mainstream so much. I can't wait until they get bored or Sunseri keeps shitting his pants and they lose a few more games, that'll quiet them down. 

OK so I know, understand, and agree with the idea that fans of all CFL teams are welcome here to talk football.
But that being said and at the risk of going all 17to85, what is with this place being overrun with Rider fans in virtually every thread defending all their players at length (like we really care that much), scolding us about how we should feel about injuries to their precious players (like they can really talk), and then being all condescendingly patronizing (easy to do after beating us 3 times).  Are all the Rider boards too full of all their super awesome smart fans that they're spilling over here?  Why would a Rider fan even want to spend so much time here??? And are they still going to be here when the Riders suck and the Bombers finally sweep them in a season (Lord willing, I'll never stop praying until it happens)?????
 
Or maybe this is the new reality of being in the West, and we're just getting a taste of what fans in Calgary and Edmonton have to put up with inside the actual stadiums. The green virus is spreading.

Oh yes, I will also be praying and holding vigil for him. Does anyone know if there's some sort of fund I can donate to to support him in this time of great difficulty?  It must be really tough being the first CFLer in history to suffer a (sort of) serious injury.

We just lost to the Riders 3 straight times in a span of a month. I would hardly call that the good part of the season!!! It seems like lately the few times we've started off well in a season it all comes crashing down with a couple ridiculous losses to the filthy riders.
 
And as someone who doesn't visit any other teams' sites, it never occured to me that we might actually be getting the best of the Rider fans here because all the others are insufferable. That's a comforting thought and I'm going to go with it without looking into it further.

In the CFL, being a committed owner is the bar that has been set for being a good owner.
 
Hopefully someday in the future we'll be able to say that being a good owner is the standard for being a good owner.

I think Wild got hurt on the TD run where he was mugged from behind so obviously even Suitor was surprised.
And Willy got hurt on a play with an obvious offside that should have at least negated the fumble.
So in other words, typical CFL game.

I think it's a good thing. It might not make much sense if you relate it to the TV series but you have to consider what province it comes from.  I appreciate all the work that went into this poster. First they sent the whole executive out to find a model in their province and after they all came back each with a Fiona they had to fly one in from somewhere out of province. The logo was a result of going to all the high schools and having a contest for their third graders. These kids had a bit of a problem grasping the concept but being 18 helped some. 

The people getting all offended about Cotton sound like we used to when trying to convince ourselves that all our crappy QBs might yet get good. We did it with Jyles, Brink , Elliott, Goltz, Hall. Then Willy comes in and it's immediately obvious hes far better than any of those guys.
So my point is that if Cotton was anything special chances are we would have seen it by now in the regular season, and not just a handful of decent runs in the preseason where it just looked like he almost broke off a long one.

I'm certainly not going to let MB off the hook, but really, execution was still a big factor in this game being so tight.
In the 1st quarter alone there were two series in a row where the ball is very close to receptions and moving the ball downfield. 
Close plays involving a ball being one foot inside allowing the defender to get there, and stopping momentum.
The overthrow by Willy inside the Montreal 40….interception.
Chip Cox making a play on a ball for Watson to kill a drive..
Two rushes by Cotton for 4 yds.
3rd down gamble…the idea was awesome…the execution, not so much.
Willy to Moore to the Montreal 20…fumble, drive killed before it started.
 
None of this is on MB
Willy didn't throw the ball very much, but it was more of a result of good coverage and a couple of drops that killed drives.

I agree that we need to disguise more to give our running game a chance but aside from a few mistakes from our rookie QB…who is continuing to learn, I can't put very much blame on our OC…especially since we are moving the ball downfield and scoring.

None of which makes him any less of an idiot. 

Because they see them all in practise too.  And they take into account things like blocking and receiving I'd imagine.

I still laugh every time I see Dieter hucking the ball with that big ass towel hanging from his waist. He looks like he just walked out of the sauna.
