    Romo was an unknown and I believe an undrafted free agent. And how has that worked out for the Cowpersons?

    I'm betting that Brandon Bridge doesn't last in the NFL. The mystique of the NFL quarterback demands that he be an all-star high-profile draft pick. There are the odd exceptions but they are rare and I cannot see the almighty Cowboys settling for a relative unknown.

    The fact that they are testing positive indicates that they can't. That is really unfair and we ought to be able to appeal that through NAFTA.

    It really comes down to whether Neufeld and Goossen are good enough to both start and keep Willy's jersey clean. If they are, with Picard at center, and Greaves at guard, we have all kinds of good options in the draft. Its going to be definitely worth watching, and I haven't been this optimistic about our draft prospects for a long time. Its a long shot, but I would still love to see Varga here.

    Sounds promising. Speed is great but not the be-all, end-all. If he runs crisp routes and doesn't lose many fights for the ball, that size with good hands ought to make him valuable. Looking forward more and more to training camp.

    This gives us a good insight as to how thin and desperate the Esks are at the QB position. Good for us.He's probably the CFLs best 3rd down and goal line QB. Good for two or three plays per game. The rest of the time......

    It is starting to look like the Bomber braintrust is looking to start two import O-linemen. This looks like it would change the draft priority and may mean the Bombers are looking at drafting a D-lineman in the first round. That Waud make sense.

    If Walters was looking to trade for one of the 'Cats defensice linemen, that option would seem to be off the table. Changes the drafting scenario.

    If Ottawa goes for Durant or Boyko, Mateas would be huge. Lavoie kind of reminds me of Brendan Dunn... pass. Mateas had better be huge before we draft him.

    Ringo had almost zero talent and a massive inferiority complex that led him to self-medicate with booze. He has five years of his life he cannot recall at all (blackout) and wasn't even on the last Beatles album. They had to bring in a sessions drummer who was well paid to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

    Compare building a football team to building a car. The OL is the engine. Receivers are the spoiler. If your spoiler falls off, your car does not go hurtling into the ditch. But it tells you what is going to happen next and ruins the suspense.

    Greg Peach is vastly under-rated by the majority of posters on this board. Peach might've been our best DL last year. I recall a few games sitting the stands and going, somewhat to my surprise: 'Woah! Peach." I like him. Tough. Hits hard. And the DL sucked balls last year for the most part. That's the thing about Peach. People don't hate him, they just recognize that if he's your depth that's fine, if he's your best then your DL sucks. And it did.

    I like the Jets, but when they have been here as long as the Bombers and have some real history behind them, I may feel as fond of them.

    It may be that either Vega lost his mojo or he is not going to be able to get past his injury bug.

    If he can run and hit as good in the CFL as he appears to have done so far, he ought to be a ratio-breaker beast safety.
