  1. Ticats looked pretty sharp against Eskies. Hopefully , we get our running game rolling again. I was surprised how well Riders shut Streveler down and Harris as well. Harris did pound through the odd time for a few yards but we need to be better against ticats. Riders did a great job shutting down our return game so would like to see that a little more creative on Sunday as well. Our deep ball seemed to be our saviour which is kind of crazy the way the year panned out but gives Hamilton a little more to think about this week. Some pretty crazy moments in Regina but that punt we made where it seemed most of our coverage went to the left side of the field and the punt to the right side of the field I couldn't figure out.. and thankful the return didn't go all the way for a touchdown. Being the underdog, I like our chances, honestly be more worried if we were the favourite. This way , we know we have to work harder to win. Go Blue
  2. Medlock is the least of my worries. He is as reliable as they come. I'm hoping the Bombers aren't as overconfident (as this forum is) and they come to play. Considering our record playing in Regina, I don't think this should be the case, anything less and this could go south . If Fajardo can't play, reminds me when Glenn broke his arm and we had to go with Dinwoody in Grey Cup. Was still a relatively close game with a QB with no experience at all but couldn't get it done. I don't see a Rider blowout, either a Bomber blowout or a very close game that will come down to big plays.
  3. I'm not sure why I'm even writing this because I thought I was beyond caring any more for this year but I don't want to know what is going on in the dressing room or anything private can stay private. But a simple acknowledgement that everyone is on the same page would go a long way. For instance. on the run defense, he could at least say . We know we have to get better on stopping the run and we are working on it and trying to address it.. new schemes, personnel , whatever, blame it on injuries whatever. That would probably be enough to say that we are on the same page.. And that is one issue , there are several, lots even. and what it seems like were getting is that there is no problems, its all execution.. Instead of deflecting everything, acknowledge a few things even on the basic of levels would go a long way in the P R department. Right now it is deflect all the concerns and piss off the media , and the fans. . Part of this job is being a salesman, and if the walk the walk isn't selling it then the talk the talk better. Right now ,neither are.
  4. This statement has me puzzled. Maybe he mean we have a legit QB (Willy) and an able backup (Brohm) jus t like the Stamps. I'm not 100 % sure on Willy as he has regressed quite a bit the past several games which I hope we can chalk up to playing hurt and poor game plan and shell shock and Brohm when we spot the other team 40 points hasn't looked bad ??? QB problems over lol. I'm not sure we couldn't handpick the top 2 QB 's in the league with our oline and Offensive coordinator and still not have major problems no matter who it is, they would take a beating. I appreciate the fact someone still has some enthusiasm though. At least ,they are tinkering and experimenting, interviewing somewhat for next year.
  5. Willy is tough by default. Every quarterback playing behind our Oline the last couple years is tough.
  6. If they get 250 yards, this should be the end all discussion on whether we can stop the run game . With a beat up terrible o-line and a 250 yard prediction prior to the game, if they get it, heads should roll , (D C) and probably OShea if he backs Kuale again.
  7. nice to see Greaves back on depth chart
  8. Hey, if it's based on weight alone, let's just trade BC for Ryan Cave so he can sneak the ball. lol, i am maybe assuming there is a little more muscle in the extra 15 pounds of Brohm if it is deemed that Marve doesn't have enough push for a short yardage QB. I would agree with poster (s) that it is as much on oline and execution as on Marve. 2 feet should be almost automatic no matter what QB it is. Sure have to wonder if something is up but not sure I would want to move one of our backups right now. Injury to Willy and we will be struggling I think without trading away what we got as backup., even worse if we move one.
  9. Our canadian content is a concern and we keep sending conditional draft picks away. From the limited time we have seen Marve, I thought he looked like he had higher potential than Brohm, better accuracy, good arm, just thought it was more of a need some experience thing that Brohm moved to #2. According to Bomber website, Marve weighs 210, which is more than Portis and Brohm is 236. If the short yardage is the reason, why not give the job to Brohm who has 15 pounds on Marve and 20 on Portis and save our draft picks ?
  10. Hope it is not either. Hoping to see one or both as Bombers in the next year or two.
  11. Philly would have to add to make it work, perhaps a guy like matt read or even just their draft pick. Jets wont trade Kane unless they get what they want in return.. Schenn,Read and a 1st is probably what it would take. I think that trade proposal was a lot closer just with Schenn straight up than with Read and a 1st as well but if Philly actually considered this , I think it would be great, can't see it happening though.
  12. IE 8 at work . In change theme, the only thing I could see was a check mark, clicked above the checkmark and it worked
  13. I'm not ready to get rid of Buck as starter because for the biggest reason, I don't think Goltz is ready and things would probably turn really ugly. I'm not happy with Buck either but how much of it is the line and the coaching. No time to set up and basically no running game which I think is more the line or the play calling. Goltz or Hall or anyone else would probably not fare any better until the line mans up a bit and we can establish a bit of a run game. I think Simpson and Ford can get it done with some help. I might not want Goltz to start but if things aren't going well,,why we never throw the backup in is beyond me and this goes back many years. It cost us a Grey Cup when Glenn got hurt because they hadn't played Dinwoodie all damn year and it has been the same ever since. Half way through the 3rd quarter , throw him in even for a couple series to see if it will throw off the defence. At a minimum, he is getting his feet wet. Buck was terrible but QBs have bad games, like Hamilton you get Good Henry and sometimes Bad Henry, unfortunately we got more of good Henry. Never mind about keeping Buck healthy, confining him is killing his game, he has to play his game and run the ball occasionally and slide. My frustration could go on and on but this is enough. Go Blue
