There's no such thing as 'Downtown Dollars'. The downtown area draws from the GTA. The Raptors and the Leafs don't often play at the same time as the Argo's so they are only in competition on game day a few times a year. As for competition for the sports dollar in general, that doesn't change no matter where you put a stadium in the city.
The venues are close together so that businesses around them can survive and thrive. 10 dates at a CFL stadium isn't enough to support restaurants and bars around the venue. Stadiums on university campuses help businesses 10 times a year, but it's the students who make them viable, not the stadium.
The best idea is to share the BMO field with the FC and the CFL has been actively trying to accomplish that for a couple (few?) years.

I don't believe Claybrook's ready. Not his time. He retired as a player less than 3 years ago. Do any of us want to go from a disaster like Etch to a rookie DC with just 3 seasons as a position coach? I don't. He probably could in Calgary because of the all star coaches & players all around him at every position but his inexperience would be exposed with us.

A lot of work and multiple issues on offense, but One of those issues were fixed by getting rid of Gibson IMO

Iso, Vega and Peach were primarily the DE's last season...
Also I suspect that our rush defence had a lot more to do with scheme and our DT's and LBer's than DE's.....
Anderson was out the majority of the year and was our only real big man on defence.
Plus, Peach and Vega are both primarily run stopping DE's anyway, and that really didn't help matters...
so to try and pin the blame on Fraser and Booker holds no ground whatsoever...

IN 1992-97 he was the OC/QB coach in Fresno state, and 2002-2012 he was with the California Golden Bears. Cortez was only there for one year, in 2006
