Of the big 3 "name" receivers (Chris Williams, Derel Walker, Namaan Roosevelt) still out there, each has his drawbacks, but I see the best upside with Walker. Has been beat up the last 2 years, so injury risk is there, but he is head and shoulders above the other 2 IMO. Williams is 3 years removed from his last impact year, even his return numbers are down, but if we are in need of a return threat he might fit the bill if cheap enough. Roosevelt I don't mind taking a chance on, again if he comes cheaper than the other 2. All depends on how he has recovered.

Any chance Chris Rainey could be converted from RB to receiver? With all of the Lions signings and Jeremiah Johnson and Tyrell Sutton there now (although both of them unsigned too) he would seem to be in need of a home, and he would give us a threat at kick returner we haven't had in a long time.

I'd be disappointed if a team about "character" guys gave money to Rainey.  But I'm prob in the minority there.  Kareem Hunt is back in the NFL after all...

Hearing LB Jovan Santos-Knox found a contract for around $145,000, plus bonuses. Not sure the team yet, but maybe Sask? Good for him, he's a heck of a player and deserves that deal. High character guy that any locker room would want.

Doesn't sound like a huge number to me.

the raise itself would be the big news there, no?  He couldn't have been making 6 figures before?

I'm not sure I agree with you, I'm still undecided but I will say this.... You can fill a team full of Connors and win but I'm not sure you can do the same with Laines. Someone needs to drive the play.

Good thing it’s a team sport then?

we’d be better with 2 Buff’s, 3 Helle’s and a partridge in a pear tree, but I’m not sure what relevance that has.

Laine’s a generational talent. Connor’s a very good/maybe great prospect who happens to play the right way - for which, I’m thrilled. Really.

but the way people are bailing on a 20 yr old superstar is more embarrassing than the team’s effort lately.

That said.. we’re bejng exposed the last few games. Everyone needs to be better

Has anyone even linked Stone coming to Winnipeg or is this wishful thinking from fans?

I mean 99% of what Jets fans talk about is wishful (read: foolish) thinking.  So, I'll allow it.

I want to see a bounce back from that piss poor effort last night.  That was awful.

Top line, even though they scored, were terrible.

That was prob our worst effort of the year.  Give MTL credit, they're on a roll.  But that was embarrassing on multiple fronts.

You know it's an off night for the Jets when the Lowry line is garbage... that never happens.

Laine may have been our best FW 2 nights in a row.
