High risk, high possible reward, but I'm pretty sure that Mr. Carter is not open to change.
I... cough, cough... see what you did there.

From Murat's piece in The Athletic today...relating what Matthews contract may mean for the Jets....
Bang on.
QuoteIn short: any five-year deal for Laine or Connor should come in well below $11.6 million AAV. This is not shocking in the slightest.
Instead, my biggest takeaway here is to forget what 2019 has told you so far: Laine has separated himself from Connor in career point production. In fact, Laine could score zero points through the rest of this season and still finish it with a higher career point-per-game rate than Connor has today.
Despite my focus on offence, I’m not arguing that point production is everything. I am arguing that, despite present day perception, Connor has yet to reach Laine’s tier and, with just over a year between them in age, there is no reason to expect that to change over the course of each player’s second contract.

Moose have low(er) attendance now because the Jets are back so entertainment funds are spread thin, and BellMTS in general isn't cheap to see an event at. Then there's every Winnipegger's fave topic....parking! If the Dub comes in at a competitive price point, I think they steal Moose fans simply because of the convenience factor.
That and suburbanites are petrified of the core, but that's another story for a different thread!

Jeff O'Neill joking he'll throw his hat in the ring....
Which would be awesome!! Simultaneously keep the Oilers putrid (as god intended) and make TSN way more enjoyable.

I love that Madani does this trolling CFL stuff a few times a month... then immediately retreats to safe Tennis space.

So ol Pete makes Joe Mack look like a competent GM. That said, EDM's problems go way beyond Petey.
Gretzky, Gretzky 2, Lowe, McTavish, Nicholson... too many cooks in the kitchen.
Jets list Chevy, Zinger and Simmonds in their mgmt team... that's it, that's all. Then a few dozen scouts. Oilers would be wise to follow suit... I hope they don't, tbh.

“I’ll leave that up to the fans. Let’s do a poll and see how they feel about it and we’ll go from there, Durant said on CJME 980 The Green Zone hosted by Jaime Nye.
“We’ll see how that goes. I know that there are a lot of people that would love me.”
The poll has spoken, douchebag. Time to go away. Like, yesterday.

At the time, Durant had just become a father and “found out my wife couldn’t make it out to Winnipeg … for the season” causing him to reevaluate his future in football.

That sounds absurd. Although the Seinfeld revival on Curb was great, but that was, what, one season? And not the entire focus either.
