I liked the "this is an organization has, frankly, produced more jokes than wins" line. I thought O'Shea was gonna have an aneurysm.

Where are Paul Friesen's tweets? I must know Paul's opinion on this because he is a very wise and smart man.

Finally got some of video of the presser. Thoughts: 1) Speaks very well. Somewhat reminds me of LaPo when he wanted teachers (to me, that is a good thing). 2) He has good grasp on how to deal with players, what he wants from them, etc. Liked that a lot. 3) One question I have is what sort of schemes he wants. As much as this team needs motivation and effort and discipline, we also need some better Xs and Os. Past years we've played checkers while everyone else is playing chess. We need to make improvements in that area. Specifically to O'Shea, wonder how he wants to run this defense. Will the 4-3* stick? 4) The media in this town are awful. Ask better questions! *Well aware that with so much variation per down teams really can't be classified as 3-4/4-3 anymore, but still want to know what sort of base and strategy he'll want.

I like Marcus Brady a lot. If they want to offer him a promotion to AsstHC and OC here I'd be for it. Bring over the Milanovich offense.

I really think Collaros will be here, but then again I thought Reilly was gonna be here last year and that went sideways. Ideally I'd like to nab two QBs if possible.

I am really interested to see the coords. He was not my first choice but I am can see why they like him. Looking forward to the O'Shea era. Tremendous leader, high character guy. Interested to see what his philosophy will be as a HC.

That's not exactly what he said...I caught it on the way home and he said, and stay with me here guys because I know this sounds loony, but O'Shea essentially be the actual HC but bypass on the HC gig and just 'accept' a DC position here, thus allowing Cortez to be promoted from Sask OC to our HC as more of a figurehead title. O'Shea would be the HC but actually hold the DC title, and Cortez would be the OC but have the HC title. Ya... Does that sound as stupid to you as it does to me? I wanted to punch his face through my radio. In fairness I usually have that reaction to Lawless, but it was a stronger emotion after that. Because in Gary's world, he believes you can just do whatever you want. Fake titles for everyone! Hire all the candidates!

I like Cortez, even if he strikes me as a royal a-hole. I think he would be similar to Doug Berry, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. If we hire MB I will flip out. Do not want. I am hoping that it was more just out of courtesy. If I am choosing out of this list I would take Cortez, O'Shea and Khari- in that order.

Tim Burke is a helluva DC and Toronto is getting one of the best. I would take Burke over Jones, personally. Hated him as HC here but I respect his defensive acumen.

I like that the hires have experience in the league and that we're creating a team of management around Walters. If this is the influence of Miller or Walters, or both, I like the direction they are going.

I like the move. Hoping we can put together a solid string of hires this offseason.

Because....? Because a year ago, Walters was a lousy ST coach...........today he is GM of the football club. Miller is taking a huge chance hiring him to GM. It could ruin Miller's name in the football community. If Miller just wanted to focus on the off-field stuff and not be involved in field ops, wouldn't he want someone in the GM chair that was more experienced? Which leads me to think he wouldn't hire Walters if he couldn't exert considerable control over him and the day to day decisions. Bottom line, unless Walters is the Doogie Howser MD of the CFL, he owes Miller huge for this. Walters would be lucky to AGM anywhere else. But hey, if we win, I won't complain. The flaw in the logic is that Walters was already AGM here under a previous regime. I get what you're saying, and I think the optics of this hire are pretty darn bad myself, but I do not subscribe to the theory Walters is just some schmuck.

I feel like the moon is an untapped market, we should definitely consider this.

I can hardly wait for these players to step onto the field to chants of "Go 'Blacks go!"

This is terrible for both leagues in my opinion.

Give me O'Shea at HC, Khari at OC, Stubler at DC and Maas for the QBs and I would be so stoked. Very small odds of that happening.

I like Walters a lot. Still not happy that they hired the guy in the next closest office once again. Thinking maybe I'll hang around the stadium a lot this year, probably be promoted to assistant GM.

This is why I had no intention of watching the game and don't intend to start watching it now. This was an atrocious matchup.

I don't intend to watch the game, have to study but also because I don't honestly think this game will be close. Hoping Hamilton wins but I think the Riders are going to win by double-digits and cruise to victory. No thanks.

I think Khari would be a better choice. Not sure I think either of them are really strong candidates.

Berry did well here, I was not in favour of his firing. I've heard his players weren't that big of his fans though here.

This is the step we've all wanted and waited for, I am excited. I wish Tim Burke all the best as a DC in this league, he will be a smart hire for someone later on.

We do this all over again next year except Burke throws different people under the bus?
