I like that Miller has a strong, decisive hand on the wheel. I just hope he's not prone to impulsive turns.

Miller will win me over quickly if he knocks Friesen down a peg or five. Probably not a wise career move but it would make me laugh so hard.

Many, including myself criticized Pierce for not being supportive when he was benched. Can't just criticize Pierce and not Goltz for the same mistake.

Everyone is talking about this "betrayed" word but considering how Justin answered the question, I think the reporter likely asked him "Do you feel betrayed?" or some variant of that. Still doesn't make Goltz correct for airing this out in the media, but I would bet that knowing this town's media it was a leading question.

Miller said they'll do a full search, but that Walters will be a top candidate for the position. I'm not completely against it. On the radio just now Walters said all CFL teams have to be built on three levels: 1) QB, 2) Canadian talent and 3rd American talent. We're also keeping Ken Moll as the top scout (or THE scout) at the moment. Walters has potential and while I'd be more comfortable with a more proven candidate, if we can pair the best part of Mack's regime (American scouting) with Walters' Canadian scouting AND his desire to fix the QB position (which is to say, do SOMETHING at the position) then I might be sold. I'm still in favour of blowing it all up, but Walters might not be the worst option out there. Conversely he might not be the best one either.

Just watched the video of Walters and Miller this morning...honestly they sounded...competent. Still not buying it, but at least it sounded good. Miller was quite honest and almost forceful at times about how the organization will run.

I wonder what happens if Hall looks decent Friday. Because Crowton is clearly going to be canned but if Hall looks okay then you're kind of in a tough spot. BLM and Ray aren't leaving their respective teams, and Collaros will be a free agent. We should have a good opportunity to grab him in free agency assuming anyone would want to come to the sinking ship that is this organization.

Beating Hamilton isn't that much of an accomplishment. I will still want to blow the whole thing up. And I am going to be even more angry when Pierce goes in at some point late in the game. It feels inevitable. Man I hope Hall lights it up and keeps him on the bench.

Honestly the solution here is simple...we need Duncan O'Mahony here. ASAP.

I agree that Burke needs to take charge and start communicating better but on this one Goltz deserves blame too. I was angry with Buck when he took his thoughts to the media, and I'm angry at both that they did it today as well. It's unprofessional and Goltz has to realize that the situation has changed - and that Mack is not here to support him.

Ya I didn't listen to much of the show but I caught that part (was in the car for the first half of the show). He says Goltz was a little better, then moves him down to 3...I have no idea what is going on anymore. Also regarding the "heated discussions" it does not sound like Burke supports the QB move. If he did, I'm sure he'd say so.

See now this lines up with more of what we've seen. Mack gets fired and Goltz goes from first to third on the depth chart.

Teams will have seen enough out of Pierce this year to know to stay away. And honestly, we've seen several second stringers play better than him too. The only team dumb enough to think he is a capable QB seems to be our staff.

Now that I'm home I watched the video of Pierce and Goltz...man they were both royally pissed off. Was I the only one that thought Goltz is ready to get out of here?

f) Team has no idea what they're doing

The best case scenario right now is to burn this thing to the ground. I'm not interested in picking up a few fluky wins, getting into the playoffs by default and then get pummelled by an actual playoff team. Burn it down. Fire them all. Start with Burke.

But Mack said he would fix the position, then didn't deal for a QB, and now that he's gone old #4 moves up the depth chart. It will be hard to convince me Burke doesn't love Buck. There are too many words and actions supporting otherwise.

If true, Mack was ridiculously stupid. Not sure if I completely believe this though. Burke loves him some Buck.
