At some point those children need to be sent to their room. In this case home. I use to send my kids out and tell them they could come back whenever they wanted. As soon as they were willing to behave. It usually worked. But I didn't ignore them.

An interesting  read. I agree with much of it.

Sadly he's more More like  Margaret than Pierre.

And  the "freedom" crowd too stupid/ignorant  to know that Pierre Trudeau gave Canada our charter of rights.

Some good news on the Ottawa front: https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/injunction-ottawa-granted-1.6342468
The fact that this tantrum has lasted 11 days is pretty sickening, IMO.

All the UCP, CPC and PPC is fixated on is that the overt neo-Nazi platform in the US carried Trump into the White House and is sustaining the GOP in both houses. They do not give a damn about the incredible damage done to the US or the rise in anti-semitism, violence and racism or the corruption that the Trump presidency brought. The GOP is trying its damnedest to normalize the January 6th attempted coup and I am certain that many of the Canadian sympathizers fantasize about doing the same sort of thing up here. The more forcefully (and legally) the Canadian governments respond, the less chance these cretins will try it again.

The way I see it, if Harris leaves, so what? If he wants to leave on good terms that's great. We'll all wish him well. If he wants to leave all pissy because he's not the highest paid back on the team anymore then that's his problem.
Things never stay static. Players retire & move on all the time as we know especially in the CFL more than any league. Later today will tell the tale as well. Who leaves & who we sign in free agency. Every team has taken some hits & not just us. So, things tend to even out. The good teams will still be good. The 3 worst teams may or may not be better. They are all concentrating on skill players & very few O & D lineman & that's where games are won & lost.  I've never heard of championship teams being built around receivers. We're in good shape when it comes to our lines. A solid foundation.

100 percent...there's prob some issues there...but not this rift they making it seem like
We should be grateful we basically retained 4 /5ths of the best online as well as 3/4's of the best dline and still retained the league MOP ...MODP...MOL and prob the best corner and halfback in Rose and Nichols...may as well toss in the 2 best young Canadian RB's in the league and most versatile Canadian reciever...we be just fine

Lol, I just said to my wife they are like spoiled kids stamping their feet , and yelling , I don't want to, you can't make me.
    The whole thing is asinine.
1- Most restrictions are done by Provincal governments. You can protest all you want in Ottawa, the Provincal govs don't care.
2- IF the Feds changed the border crossing rule , my understanding is it wouldn't effect anything as the US have the same resticions.
3- IF you are a trucker and won't vax, just haul in Canada. Companies are desperate for truckers.
4- No society has ever or will ever have no rules and no restrictions on freedoms.
5- I'd love to see both politicians and the press start to call these idiots out. Make these points and others in press announcements. Show these idiots up for what they really are. Spoiled, selfish  children without a clue as to what they can and can't get. What society needs to function. I've heard enough of "we need to respect their views and decisions."

I knew GQP bullshit was bleeding into this country but now we have direct proof of them financing said bullshit.
What's most alarming, if the past week or so has been any indication watching the world's longest tantrum take place, is how many right leaning asshats want that **** here in Canada.

There will a bigger backlash against that kind of support than positivity from it.  It gives a whole lot of ammo for the other parties.

Previously in Canada when a member of your household got sick with one of the many epidemics that swept through, a card went up on your door or gatepost. . Each disease had a different colour so people knew what that household had. Only the Doctor was allowed in  or out. This was within my parents time. Our local cemetery started where it is because two neighbors lost kids and decided to bury them together. If you walk through that cemetery there are monuments where you can see that a family would lose 5 or 6 children over a 2 year span. Imagine being alone in your house. Your child gets sick. You have seen it before with the other little ones that have died. The Doctor might come, you would hope,  but down deep you would know they were dieing. Going through that , 5 or 6 times , in a couple of years. Typhoid, diphtheria, scarlet fever, influenza, polio..... This is why there was no discussion when I was a kid about getting a jab. My parents remembered the days  before science and medicine won out over these diseases.
And now we protest over wearing a mask and getting a jab .
Edit : My mother was a nurse in the 1940s .She dealt with alot of polio victims during a bad outbreak including some that required a " iron lung  " to breath. I can't imagine what that tough no nonsense lady would have to say. She would be pretty disgusted by all the silliness.
