When you watch these post game speeches when time after time after time Saleh has been propping up Strevy, there is no way he retains any credibility with his team if Strevy isn't on it. Look at the excitement of his team mates, this guy is on the team and hopefully sees some game action and shoves some balls up the a$$es of the doubters and haters. Has their been anyone that works harder for so little? Not that I know of.

From all accounts, Flacco is going to be the opening day starter but based on what he has left in the tank, the Jet's would be better off rolling with White while Wilson is out. All that to say, if Streveler doesn't make that roster in some capacity, it will be a damned travesty. That kid has EARNED a spot.

You have to love this guy.

Streveler is such a beauty. So happy for all the attention he is getting. Even if his 15 minutes are up after this, he must be having an absolute blast right now.

There were so many lies told in that referendum. On an AG end the separatists told Quebec Dairy farmers they would remain part of the CANADIAN Dairy marketing board. They basicly campaigned say I g they would keep whatever they wanted ( things that would benefit them) and toss whatever they didnt want. As if it would be their choice alone. And people bought what they were selling. The other massive issue was what would have happened on 1st nations. I distinctly remember The head of the Northern Chiefs saying " Nobody is telling us what country we belong to " .A yes vote would have been one hell of a disaster.

Speaking of free speech, they need to create a new law that charges obtuse offenders with public harassment in cases like this, and they need to enforce it to send the message that we are a civil society. I don't care if there is jail time associated with a conviction or not, but make sure the fine is at least $3000 so the morons get the message that harassment and intimidation will not be tolerated.

And the politicians condemning this behaviour need also to say this isn’t a case of having differing political platforms. This is wingnut behaviour not associated to any sane political beliefs.
They don’t hold political beliefs. They are against everything that doesn’t think, feel and look like them.
We’re way past the point in thinking civil discourse with most of these knuckle draggers will broaden their perspectives.

It's the same mentality as down South. " My freedoms ! My rights ! What ever I want is a right !" But the wants, freedom and rights of everyone else don't count and should be squashed with a Jackboot.

I don’t think that’s an exaggeration. Garland has to understand this. If he thinks he needs to delay the indictment because of the midterms he is not accepting this is a completely different game with different rules. Keeping intact his individual legacy by thinking you need to play by normal rules (not influencing an election because of an ongoing investigation) on these wingnuts is not going to end well.

If Garland doesn’t indict him, precedent set, free for all.

Such a disgusting comment.
Like many far right Christians he is pulling statements out of the old testament and new testament when it suits him. If you follow the old testament word for word you would have to totally ignore the New Testament. Nevermind all the books and passages that have been dropped. A great exercise for most of them would to be to spend some time reading both testaments , beginning to end. Then try work out an idea of what being a Christian really means.

Absolutely , alot of the CO2 emissions in China and India are created producing products for the rest of the world. The sooner we as individuals wake up to the fact that we as individuals are the problem the better.
Everything we do, everything we eat, everywhere we go has a cost. We ,particularly in the West like to do alot, eat alot and go to alot of places. I don't think 7 billion of our species is sustainable unfortunatly.

I'm hoping that as China ,the world's largest producer of CO2 , gets smacked by climate change they may take the lead in changing to fight it. Perhaps threats to their domination of the world's industries may do it. Their leadership certainly has the power if they have the will.
All this horrendous weather news and yet :

if you dont already know about it...
study done in the seventies called "the limits to growth"
"If the present growth trends in world population, industrialization, pollution, food production, and resource depletion continue unchanged, the limits to growth on this planet will be reached sometime within the next one hundred years.[b] The most probable result will be a rather sudden and uncontrollable decline in both population and industrial capacity.
It is possible to alter these growth trends and to establish a condition of ecological and economic stability that is sustainable far into the future. The state of global equilibrium could be designed so that the basic material needs of each person on earth are satisfied and each person has an equal opportunity to realize his individual human potential.
If the world's people decide to strive for this second outcome rather than the first, the sooner they begin working to attain it, the greater will be their chances of success.
— Limits to Growth, Introduction
The introduction goes on to say:
These conclusions are so far-reaching and raise so many questions for further study that we are quite frankly overwhelmed by the enormity of the job that must be done. We hope that this book will serve to interest other people, in many fields of study and in many countries of the world, to raise the space and time horizons of their concerns and to join us in understanding and preparing for a period of great transition-the transition from growth to global equilibrium."
wiki.
according to wiki the study has been shown to be accurate in followups.
wiki entry is thorough. it shows where the scorn and derision unleashed at the time of the original publication came from.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Limits_to_Growth
and I dont know if climate change was part of the projections.
I have not read it, I think that it is over my head, but if interested
