Oh he is. Teams look his way all day.
Because he's generally covering the #1 or the #2. He can play every position including Sam and safety. And do it well. He is also a.solid open field tackler and can bring the lumber. Not to mention his ability on the blitz. I'd take him over Houston in a heart beat.

Oullette with that Cruickshank as the change of pace, and or also with 2qb at same time with Strev's in the backfield would be a DC's nightmare...Imagine that with also having Lawler...Demski and hopefully Schoen running free....
Honestly I'd prefer going with 2 rookies. If we're paying AJ and another, we might as well pay Brady.
Just now, rebusrankin said:So if Brady leaves where does he go?
My guess is TO or maybe more likely MTL.

I’d be good with Ouellette and still bringing guys in just like every other year.
We would have to, cause Ouellette won't Stat healthy

Id spent up on Ouellete over Kadeem Carey personally. I like Ouellete's style. He would make us even more physical than we were with Brady and Carey has a significant injury history. After Brady and Ouellete that's when id be looking for bargains like Carey.
I like Ouelletes style too. But he is not more physical than Brady.

I'd love to see the young guys get their shot on the OL. But I also understand keeping an all star group together. Kolo has been good enough. I won't have any issues if he's the day 1 starter.

Just going by recent history and speculating from that. Not sure why I have to spell that out for you.
Yeah recent history is a 14-4 season and west division championship.

I don't think it has anything to with mediocrity or what ever...
The bottom line is: We didn't get it done in 2023. we didn't get it done the before in 2022... are we making any moves that shows that we are improving?
Yeah, 3 years ago- 2 of those it didn't, and we are trotting out a lot of those same players in 2021.
It's extremely hard to improve upon a 14-4 record. In fact only 1 bomber in the history of the club has done better.
GC is a 1 game, winner take all. Losing it sucks, but pretending like you're going to add a magic player that will prove you are going to win it...in Jan....is insane.
What players are we trotting out? Please post the current roster? The Jan 29th blue bomber roster that proves we won't be getting better....

Haha I actually considered bidding on his orange jersey, figured it’d go cheap. Bet it did too.
I hope we see new hats. A lot of flat brim and meh stuff right now. The last few years they’ve had some great hat designs too, so maybe they’ll launch some new stuff for camp.
I love all hats that are black on black. So getting I'm hoping for more of that!

For a team that lost in the grey cup two years in a row now, in pretty pathetic fashion, they seem pretty content with everything and just bring all the old boys back.
I really couldn't imagine any other franchise bringing back a bunch of players that went.....14 and....4. like wtf.
Enough mediocrity already!!

Kowlanoski back on a 2 year deal. Hopefully it's as 6th OL.
He's not a 6th OL type

That Stronson is such a moron
Just read his post about the Bombers signing Fine lol. Buck said he liked him, sooo that means they were definitely going to target him in FA lol. He makes statements like that and then gets pissy when others push back..."it was just my thoughts"....yeah well you said it like it was a fact you dumbass.

From April 2023: https://3downnation.com/2023/04/17/the-cfls-15-highest-paid-quarterbacks-for-2023-season/
Note this is after the article that you posted & the article you posted said he'd make just over $400K IF he made all of his bonuses, which is definitely NOT $450-500K.
From Jan 24/24: https://3downnation.com/2024/01/24/qb-dru-brown-signs-two-year-contract-with-ottawa-redblacks/
According to two articles from the same source, Brown, a complete unknown, is making more hard money with a higher signing bonus than Adams & his maximum is just $10K lower than Adams signed for last year.
What I'd like to know, and I haven't found out, is what Adams is scheduled to make in '24. It's likely higher, but that doesn't change the fact that Brown is making out like a bandit because Ottawa is a crap team that has to overpay to get players, just like we used to be.
A better comparison would be Reillys first contract as a starter to Browns. Pretty similar starting points if I'm remembering correctly.

It's more than Adams is getting. You know Adams, been in the league since 2016, thrown for more than 13,000 yards, ran for 1400, the third best QB in the league last year, took his team to the Western Final, that Vernon Adams.
I think you're forgetting he signed that contract while still a backup to Rourke. They were so set on VA being the #1 they went out and got Evans too.
Like others have said his contract has been re-worked. Also what a weird ass hill to die on lol.

They could. Very similar to the 2019 bomber team. But with less talent on Offense.
