Cisco is having an event and sent an invite to a bunch of nerds to go Friday..

Simply quoting what it said on many many sites, let me know when you publish your studies that contradict the stats of a legit publication like SI

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/tyson-hartnett/why-athletes-go-broke-and_b_6812864.html ESPN had a documentary about it.... Also common sense... Hockey is an expensive sport to play and usually families in poverty cannot afford to put a kid through hockey. Boxing, basketball and football... these guys are coming straight from the ghetto from usually broken homes and very low income... they have zero knowledge of how to manage finances and of course so many of them go crazy and blow the money or get conned out of the money. Your example is flawed. It's states SI did a study of former NFL and NBA players. That's all it said. Not how many or for how long. Even then, the percentage is well below what you stated and is not broken down by any racial identifications. You're guessing. I'm not saying players don't go broke, just your statement of 90% of black athletes go broke. http://newamericamedia.org/2010/07/beyond-lebron----many-ex-ballers-broke.php Sorry the report said 80% of NFL athletes go broke within 5 years and black atheletes make up almost 70% of players in the NFL. I apologize for being slightly off resulting in your panties getting in a bunch.

This happens to like 90% of black athletes. It's just odd because usually hockey parents are smart with money.

Around The League Off Season Discussion

If by some chance you are serious, what should the Regina team have to give Edmonton for taking their Head coach? They gave permission though. Do you think it would be fair if Steinhauer quit and signed to coach another team despite Hamilton saying no way. You can't just allow people to ignore valid contracts. Morally Ottawa should let the guy go..legally they shouldn't. -

Jets will trade Ladd and Buff for prospects and picks and then sign Stamkos and all will be great lol -

Allowing coaches to resign and sign with other teams opens a huge can of worms...if that's the case we should poach star players by doing the same thing. -

Lawless was talking about this earlier this morning. Made it seem like Ottawa has a huge upper hand purely based on the legal side of contracts. This could get ugly, I see Edmonton having no leg to stand on and most likely they will have to give up something. First round pick for two seasons seems fair to me. -

That is a solid hire if Mauro doesn't go off the deep end again.... Now they need Lenne Hardt to call down the wrestlers to the ring.... -

Game 29 : Blue Suede Jackets @ Jets
Brandon replied to FrostyWinnipeg's topic in Winnipeg Jets Discussion
The Jets dominated the first two periods... it just seemed like they were coasting at the end. What I did like was Helle was struggling in the first two periods but when it came time in the 3rd when the Jets just stood around while CBJ's were skating around them in our own end... Helle made some great game saving saves. The last goal he had no chance at all on. -

Jets are coasting while the BJs have pressed hard all game long.. -

Didn't say he was the next Crosby, just seemed to struggle staying on his feet and going to the net. -

Jets need to stay out of the box. -

So you are flip flopping... I said in the past that it's only younger kids and old timers watching wrestling and you claimed this was completely false. -

You would think after no announced winner they would of double checked... Had a pic on the site.. Maybe this money was going to our hiring Lapo fund? -

You're wrong though. Demo's are trending up in age. Its the young audience they've lost. None of my friends who loved wrestling during high school follow it at all these days. The local wrestling's shows I went to were mostly family and carnie like folks... I don't see any 18-40 year olds at all talking about wrestling these days. I think your numbers are dead wrong... -
Chris Jones to Saskatchewan Roughriders confirmed

Can't fault the Riders for making solid moves. It's no guarantee that it will work but at least all these moves make sense and seem to be very shrewd. -
Bombers Under Investigation for 50-50 Fiasco
Brandon replied to The Unknown Poster's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Was it the Bombers or Goldeyes from many years back where they had the 50 50 scandal where they rigged the winners? -

It's because adults don't watch wrestling... The attitude era people watched the program for the mature over the top storylines. As a mid 30 year old why would I want to watch lame kiddy storylines?
