I think on both of our trips to Vegas we only sat gambling at a casino for maybe 5% of the time. The Cirque shows and all the other attractions were much more interesting for us.

I go to the Chipotle's in St Cloud (usually on the way back from Albertville), it's good and I would say very comparable to Burrito Del Rio here in town.... One restaurant that I used to go down in Albertville that was awesome but is slowly declining was Space Aliens. They have really good BBQ and Pizzas, the Cuban pizza with pickles and mustard and meat is surprisingly really tasty.

I've heard great things about Mangos.. I was choked that when we went last summer to try it out for our first time... the place was rented out for a private party. Did you (or anyone else on these boards) have good experiences with Mangos?

More then $6500.... looking at low 5 digits. You could make money promoting MMA shows, but with all the effort and risk it's not worth it. An ideal situation would be a smaller venue with good sightlines and profit sharing on the concessions. Somewhere that you could sell some tables at a higher cost to local businesses and reserves and so that any ticket sales in the stand would just be gravy in the pocket. As hokey as WFX was, the venue was almost big enough to put on good quality events.

I know that's happened to us a few times.... gone to Paradiso in the States only to realize it's mediocre tex-mex.

I can verify .... convention center is very very expensive. I'm not sure of any venue that could hold a decent crowd with good sight lines where the promoter could get a cut of the booze revenue.

I've never had but my co workers have said it's very mediocre. I don't understand why people get so excited for these kind of restaurants? Similar to IHOP when they had line ups.... the place is not even on the same level of mediocrity of Perkins.

At one time MMA was profitable in the city... I think the popularity though has decreased and it's hard to find a venue where you can put on a show and where the venue doesn't bend you over for their costs...

One thought that goes through my head is that if an underpaid talent cries because he's making near the minimum and wants more money.... could we also at the end of the year take money back from players who under played and that we over paid?

77k is low in the Toronto area... I made a whole lot more doing a whole lot less and still was only a slight bit above average when I lived in Ontario. That was with no children and no responsibilities.

I just think the idea of XFL and extreme football is passé. Now if they had a football league where you could bribe the refs, play on ice, throw exploding footballs.... that would be awesome

Did someone compare Grigsby to Wilder Jr?? Really??? The guy is a great player and may even be the 2nd best RB in the league next to Harris. If the CFL had guaranteed contracts I would be completely on the side of the club... but since they don't then I don't blame the guy. I wish the league had some kind of rule where they could allow a player to try out and sign in the NFL , but if he ever comes back to the CFL he belongs and must follow the contract that he was originally signed for.

Wouldn't the past failure of the XFL make this even more difficult for them to succeed?
