  2. I am saying it's Bull **** and will stick by it. I'm not saying racism doesn't exist, but I will take the word of a bunch of good guy athletes who have played in this city over a loser like Kane who has got himself in trouble everywhere he has gone. Why you would make excuses for a guy like Kane is bizarre? You would honestly take his word after all the crap he has gotten himself into? Kane's credibility is at a zero, I don't believe anything that guy says. From the rumours out there, the guy thought he was king **** walked around the locker room and town as if he was better then everyone else, was KO'd by his team mate at a bar, was put in his place by Buff.... I would easily put my money on the guy is an immature prick and who ran his mouth and got himself into trouble to a point where his team mates forced the club to kick him out. He goes to Buffalo, gets arrested for being an idiot.... injures his team mate.... is hated again.... but yes lets say it's racism and not a guy trying to make excuses and deflect blame elsewhere. If racism is such an issue with the city/fans then how come so many Bomber players come here and absolutely love the town and fans??
  3. I'd assume if the money was the same Durant would want Winnipeg because of familiarity with LaPo.
  4. I read that Burrito Del Rio closed on Corydon and that the location on River has a new owner.... I hope they don't change it from what it was before.

  6. If we were to compare real life to how people talk online... It would be absolute chaos out on the streets. Winnipeg is such a diverse city with so many different people of different backgrounds, I highly doubt he experienced racism issues. I think it's more of a cop-out excuse to try to play victim rather then to accept accountability of being an *******. We hear so many stories (mainly about the Bombers) where guys come up from the South and absolutely love the city and the people. I know from the few Bomber guys that I've spoken to over the years they love the people in Winnipeg.
  7. I'm pretty sure the Moose would beat that team with ease... It'll be weird to watch that's for sure...
  8. I'd give Durant a try out... the guy has looked off for 3 seasons now. Glenn would be probably the better choice since he better fits our offense. Both would have to come on the cheap.
  9. Are you sure it wasn't the Schrivners (spelling?) that were the ones running with the biker gangs. I thought they were arrested because of their business ties with the gangs? I thought Tom Canada was only a party guy / hippy type of person.
  10. Three teams at such a young age.... he definitely has some kind of issue.
  11. I'd be shocked if Randle was not back with the club

Now if only Bellator would run a more regular show with a bit more star power on the undercards ....
  13. Police get involved for grabbing ones ass? How many people would be arrested on a nightly basis at the Golden Spike where all the old ladies are on the prowl grab-assing every guy they see?
  14. That's hilarious and more entertaining then what I've ever watched locally lol. I also can't picture Dirty D Walker being a guy wanting to fight, he seemed to be a nice and non confrontational type of guy.
  15. I don't think it was that one sided. Buffalo will still get a 1st round pick for Kane so it wasn't a total bust for them. I think the Duchesne trade is looking more so as a one sided trade then the Kane trade.
  16. So the on air radio fight was not a work? I remember my roommate at the time playing it and we thought it was just good radio? Also the non pro locals comment is more so for the guys who went to a few classes and then were put into a ring way before they should of been. Also having the attitude that they were legit wrestlers despite not being able to put on a quality match. I fondly remember someone attempting to do the lion sault and slipping on the rope and sacking himself, it was hilarious to watch both the guy writhe in pain and the promoter shake his head.
  17. Unless they try to outsmart everyone by doing the swerve? They have alluded to it a bit?
  18. I believe they said the ask was a 1st rounder + Top prospect + Conditional draft pick if he re-signs...
  19. Is RME = Ringmasters? If so I had a load of fun at those shows... the bar shows out in the country were so hilarious that you couldn't script them if you tried.
  20. If they get a trade for Kane... the guy has cooled off over the last few weeks and the ask seems really high.
  21. No doubts, Buffalo hustled but games like this make me uneasy for the play offs. I was impressed with Roslovic and the 4th line, same goes with Copp. The only guys that looked off from my eyes was Laine and Wheeler seemed gassed again.
  22. I think for myself what would of made a larger impact would be had Kylo and Snoke had a straight up test of might battle (a la dragon ball z) where at the last second Snoke fears the power of Kylo and gets blown up would of been much more impactful. Kylo at this point kind of seems whiny and I look at him similar to how I looked at the emo spiderman from Spiderman 3... just doesn't seem right.
  23. Mason let 2 bad ones in and has been out of place several times. He wasn't terrible... was not sharp at all either. Very Pavelec like. The team has definitely played like Turds in the 3rd. The 4th line seems to be the only line not struggling to clear the puck out.
  24. Mason is fortunate that we have scored 6 goals tonight...
  25. Thank you for the recap TUP it was an enjoyable read. I definitely LOL'd at the Ernie Todd tapping out Dan Severn... the ego is hilarious. WFX did have good indy names on the show mixed with legends and recently dropped WWE talent. It was a good mix and had some good local talent. It was doomed to fail because I counted maybe 250 people tops at one of the first shows and they had easily a dozen maybe even more names on the show. Just to transport itself would of been a tonne of cash. They did have a proper television production crew and the facility was great for wrestling. I assume it failed because of poor advertising. The highlight of my WFX experience was watching Teddy Hart nearly losing it because a fan booed his shooting star press. I thought he was going to cork the kid in the face but at the last second he pat the guy on the shoulder.... Teddy Hart was a super weird dude to meet. I've yet to go to a PCW show, my friends have gone. They did say that it used to be way over the top hardcore where fans brought weapons and everyone bladed... that's what mostly made me avoid going to the shows back in the day since I was more into wrestling then the hardcore stuff. I also found that the behind the scenes drama of local wrestling was way more entertaining then the in ring product. The non pro local wrestlers took everything way to seriously and they almost made it seem like going to a rival show was going to commence some kind of massive brawl a la the movie the Warriors. I found the drama to be hilarious and very Trailer Park Boys like.
