  1. Which back ups or 3rd stringers in the league would you say are massive upgrades to LeFevour?
  2. What helped Danny for that game ( I attended) was his legs... zero penetration and way to much zone defense...
  3. Wouldn't taking public transport followed by walking be the most cost effective option? That's how nearly every other city handles sporting events? How do these blue collar Danny attend Jets games which cost a whole lot more to attend? I would not classify Winnipeg as a city full of people barely being able to afford to go to a Bomber game. If money were so tight you wouldn't see beer snakes and a whole lot of merch flying off the shelf. We are not that poor in the Peg.
  4. Is LeFevour absolutely awful? Considering he came to Toronto and after a few weeks they started him and he passed for over 300 yards and 4 TD's against our very good defense. I'd say LeFevour is light years better then most of the guys we have slotted in as back up over the last 5 seasons? Do you not remember Jason Boltus?
  5. My main point was that if affordability was the main goal for the Bombers then why not cut prices of concessions to attract even more customers. If Park and Ride at $5 dollars is not covering cost then they should raise the price so that the team doesn't lose money.
  6. If they remove the park and ride completely then how would you get to the game? The park and ride is completely optional. Do the Jets have a park and ride? How does everyone get to those games? Can those folks afford the pricier parking options downtown?
  7. It's a great example, for myself usually I take my dad and we go to George's on Regent and feast on a massive meal at half the price and then head off to the game. I'd be more inclined to eat at the game if the prices were more reasonable. For the both of us to take a cab directly to and from the game, I'd imagine the cost would be well over $50 dollars. So for us to spend even $20 dollars for the two of us using the park and ride.... to be driven right to the front gate directly and then picked up at the same spot and driven back to the park and ride. To me that's great value. I'm not familiar with the price of parking my car the stadium, but I'd imagine that with the gas and headaches of trying to slowly get in and out ... It wouldn't be worth me saving a few bucks.
  8. I'm in Le-Favour of keeping LeFevour (soooo corny).... main reason is that Danny gives us a different look with his running abilities and maybe we can have a few different plays designed to use his skills as a change of pace.
  9. Is it a large expense though? If affordability was a key point then why not cut the cost of concessions down to comparable prices for what you would pay at a normal fast food restaurant?
  10. When I see people massively overpaying for beer at the stadium I would assume that most fans have the extra 5 dollars to get to the stadium and back.
  11. Based on hockeydb.com... Maurice has coached 19 seasons... if he wins two more times this year.... he will then have tied his 3rd best coaching season in his career. This season has been on par with his average success during his time in the league. I don't see them canning Maurice at all and I think he gets a 2 year deal in the off season.
  12. The park and ride is fantastic, I'd be willing to pay $10 for the service if they needed to generate more cash. I'd suggest that adults pay $10 and children at $5 or even free. It's a great service.
  13. The guy was a winner, he definitely if healthy would be a solid back up for a team to have. The numbers don't wow but the Wins/Losses do impress. He was also doing this with a team that didn't have the crazy defense that Bishop had during his magical run several years ago.
  14. My cheap shots are more so poking fun then actually trying to win an argument or to upset anyone else, I'm not sure about Goalie on his intents or not. I missed the show as per life with a new born and a toddler... I'm disappointed about missing out on the Hardy Boys since I was a huge fan of them back in the day. Based on what I read... I'm disappointed on how they ended things with the Taker... They could of done a whole lot more with him and his gimmick and maybe passing the gimmick along to someone else. A big missed opportunity. I missed out on the HOF, did Jim Cornette cause any trouble since he seems to be such a big mouth based on his youtube videos/podcasts? He seems to talk a big game but I can't imagine him having the guts to say anything to anyone's face?
  15. What I no longer hold this title???
  16. Cheaper, younger, mobile, no one was willing to pay LeFev starting money.....
  17. I have no prob with LeFevour as a 3rd string/backup. The guy is mobile and has experience. Flanders also returns kicks... I don't remember Marshall doing this.
  18. I will disagree... I thought Flanders was much smoother and had much more speed. Stats wise: Marshall - 4.4 average, longest run was 26 yards Flanders - 6.1 average, longest run was 50 yards
  19. I really don't see any holes that we need to fill via free agency. If we can get 1 or 2 starters from the draft then we are in a great position moving forward. If we can get a bargain on a 6th oline guy and maybe a Canadian receiver then that would be gravy for us...
  20. I thought Jackson signed in Toronto? Also no chance in heck that we are going for him. If the Blue were to go for another receiver I assume it would be Fantuz since I think he's a FA....
  21. From what I read on riderfans... Owens is brought in to be the returner. Surely they could find someone cheaper via the database? 2 year deal also to boot?
  22. Owens at a low price is an ok signing.. if I were the Riders I would of signed Denmark before him....
