I was viewing it as his smarts are a real asset in the CFL. On paper a lot of CFL greats don't have any one skill that flies off the page for NFL scouts.  Even Milt or Arland Bruce probably would have been categorized like this by NFL teams. In Milt's case it was really his smarts that make him such a good CFL receiver. His measurables alone would not have made him standout verses half of the receivers in the CFL.

Just bugging you man. Im picking up what you're putting down

From what I've gathered about Josh Vann, he appears to be a solid CFL prospect. He doesn't posses a singular skill or physical attribute that flies off the page and I believe that's why no NFL team is bothering to develop him on a practice roster. He posses good smarts and vision and this helps him to read the defense and put himself in a position for a catch plus yak yards. Despite facing challenges with drops early in college, he's managed to overcome them and establish himself as a reliable pass catcher. He's 5 foot 10 which i think is fairly average in the CFL and has good jumping ability and body control. He's a guy I think we could develop. Unfortunately I don't see him making much of an impact at WR and is more of a slot type of guy in the CFL.

"He's a great CFL prospect because he's super average at everything"

    Wow what a sell 😂

Figured it would be injury list guys. I think biggie is just on rest he sounded like he was good to go on BFS with bauming the other day. Parker I hope is well soon. Noah just can’t stay healthy damn.

I can’t imagine neufeld retiring wouldn’t be announced in a better way. He’s been here like 10 years.

How do we interpret those 6 gamers? That legitimately carries into the season right?

  4. Back to Training Camp discussion. Man, you get the impression Michael Chris-Ike is going to be a factor (no, not the jabari arthur factor) on this team. I am not usually one to pay attention to the combine results but for a guy that is 6'1" 225 to be the top in the cone and shuttle is impressive. Combine that with having a bunch of special teams tape; describes himself as aggressive on teams; it really sounds like he is exactly what we need. You could also see O'Shea beaming (the classic O'Shea beam) when talking about him.

If you guys think there are actually going to be any live 100% effort one on one reps against roster players, you’re nuts lol

He’s going to go out there, run a few routes, maybe have Jordan Younger suit up and let the seniors give it all they got a couple times and the rest of the time it will literally be 0% serious

As an aside, Bombers made a whole bunch of moves yesterday/today.

Release DB Anthony Blue, signed a whole whack of Americans.

    DB CJ Siegel

    LB Dylan Moses

    LB John Petrishen

    LB Tre Thomas

    OL Chidi Okeke

    Linebackers!

  6. Offense is going to be fine. We have a lot of talent and depth there. Zero question we will find someone to fill the 3rd American receiver spot. There is enough competition and depth on the o-line that we should be fine there as well.

Special teams on paper it looks like we will be much better than last year. Fresh faces bring new energy.

Defense is where there is the most uncertainty. We need someone to step up at Corner. Holm and Nichols are locks at half. I think we have a lot of options at safety and one of the corner positions. Finding a top cover guy would go a long way to making that group formidable.

D line i see similarly. We have a few guys there but we need someone to step up. Maybe even a couple. Willie does some good things but I hope we run a DI at the end position this year.

Linebackers I can't understand why we don't bring in more competition. Are we that confident in Biggie and Wilson?

  7. Really enjoyed hearing Walters talk about the depth they added in the draft, but also about some of the guys that were drafted in previous years that they expect are going to make an impact both at role positions and special teams

Clercius, MCI, Ford (I know he did play for us but he's an improvement), Charboneau, Kelly (stepping up to AR), MacDougall. Not to mention the global guys who will be competing for the last "Canadian" spot.

And we only really lost Briggs, Miller (who wasn't actually playing) and Exume?

Our special teams have to be better this year, right?
