Buff is basically a home town guy with this team with Roseau only being a couple hours away. Plus he can be the face of franchise here not many other places he will be that. Get him a few free fishing trips up north a year and he will be satisfied.

The new PI rules seem to me like it would be a more black and white call for the officials. Either contact or no contact.

I was the Hawks Canes game on Monday they thoroughly out played the Hawks but could not beat Crawford. Hawks looked pretty average. -

I have heard Trotz speak differently but what does he know it's not like he sees him every night. Just like Ladd every opposing coach says he is guy that makes this team go but you hear differently here.

If you have the choice between Buff and Ladd its Buff. You build a team down the middle have to have top knotch D, C and goalies to win.

Easy to say bring him in after but if he is guy you value you want to have him in right away and develop him with in your own system.

I wonder how much the fact that it will be pretty easy to keep Demski in Winnipeg past his first contract plays into their decision.
