The running game is really under rated. If you can generate a strong rushing attack it makes your quarterbacks job a lot easier. Durant is not having the same success this year as he did last year with a very strong running game backing him up, The Argos running game is a bit unsettled and Ray is not doing as well as usual, without Cornish BLM looks pretty pedestrian, when BC gets Harris going Glenn all of a sudden looks a lot better... You need the ability to run the ball in the CFL in order to get your passing game working because if you're one dimensional it's too easy to defend.

What makes Edmonton for real? and Winnipeg a well coached 3-3 team? 
 
Seriously, I'd like to know the logic in the last post... I don't get it, you talk about other teams injuries, fail to mention our own, greaves out a couple games, watson out, sears out the last couple games, moore out the last game, why ignore those injuries? They are significant pieces.
 
Edmonton easily could have lost 2 or 3 games also.
 
I don't get that logic there in the post above, What i have learned after 6 weeks? No matter how many games the bombers win, no matter who they beat, no matter what injuries they overcome to do it... there will always be a poster or 2 or 10 who just refuse to give credit where credit is due. There will always be posters who ignore our injuries and concentrate on others, there will always be people who refuse to believe actually. you know calgary beat hamilton 10-7 right? and edmonton barely beat hamilton also? 
 
We could have easily lost 3 games? sure, but so could calgary and edmonton really.. 
 
Edmonton is for real? why? who have they actually beat so far? we haven't beat anyone good? if we haven't, who the hell has Edmonton beat? 

I honestly want to say that Zach Anderson is our best D-lineman.... but I'm afraid to.... cuz Bryant Turner will find out.... and he'll find me.... and as we all know he has a very particular set of skills... skills that he has acquired over a very long career... skills that make him a nightmare for people like me... 

Guys... let it go.  We're playing great now.  No need to dredge up the last 4 regimes. 

teams are stubbornly trying to play 4+ NIs on the OL still, they gotta look at using more in non traditional places. Teams are bringing in too much good american defensive line talent the OL are getting outmatched. 

Bucknor is playing much better than Jovon Johnson did last year, and he's a Canadian. Says a lot about what a great job Walters has done upgrading the talent level.

Unamba isn't as good as Markett or Suber on D.  They can all play that gunner spot on cover teams, all have at various stages of their career.  I'd much rather have Markett and Suber available for D.

yup sit Grigsby, start Cotton. Keep Woods at punt and kick off returns. Handled internally, we're done. Next question.

We don't need another RB... We just need Cotton to be given a chance...

Grigsby doesn't need another week.  He's had 5.  Not seeing any improvement.  He's great in space, but that space won't be there when everybody knows he can't grind out yards or break a tackle, they'll mind contain and let him run east-west all day.

I do like the fact that MB kept the run game involved... even if its not working, you still need to run - otherwise, teams will just key in on the QB

I'd probably give Grigsby another week or two... but why not try platooning Aaron Woods?  We know he has good ball control and can catch a ball in the flats...

No, then we have to take woods off, who's proven to be very valuable to this team.
It's definitely time for Cotton IMO. If they don't give Cotton the start next week, I'm not sure what will open their eyes.

The backlash has nothing to do with the idea.... trading January for a starting Canadian O-lineman (or any position) would be fantastic.... problem is it's never, ever going to happen.... the most any team would give up for an American tackle in his 30s is a late round pick... I'd guess most teams would rather wait to see what shakes out of the NFL if they are looking to upgrade at import tackle...
 
And the circumstances around the Neufeld pick were completely different.... he was a back up (injured) with Sask and they would likely lose him to Ottawa since he wouldn't have been protected....whether Taman makes that trade or not Neufeld, is not on their 2014 roster... a tiny bit of research or just a basic memory coulda figured this out... 

Knapp had a hard time at RT last year as well - still would rather see him at RG for our running game...

Doesn't work without replacing the starting Canadian elsewhere.
 
I wouldn't mind starting 3 NI receivers given the imports we have besides Moore and Denmark.  Bryant looks like his tank is running on empty anyways, we have an extra NI roster spot with Renaud out that the other Renaud could take to backup.

Apparently the "rule" is that he didn't give himself up because he didn't slide feet first.
 
I don't know how it's written, but to me a slide is a slide and I guarantee you if someone had buried him, it would've been a 15.
 
Definitely not the stupidest call by an official tonight though, which belonged to the guy who flagged Washington for belting Stamps in the end zone. Flag the play, not the result. Thought Odell Willis got tagged for one lame one too on Drew Willy. You can't hit a guy low, that doesn't mean you can't pull him down by his leg.

The only games I put up with rod black are bomber games... If I turn a game on and it's rod black I turn it off as soon as I hear his voice. As much as I love the cfl, it's just not worth it to put up with him for other teams
