Oh I see it, but I saw it last year... Oliveira saved his ass last season.
I don't disagree that Brady O was a huge part of our offence last year, but that doesn't mean he's responsible for Collaros' bad start to this season.

What are you smoking? The issue he shows this year are the same he showed last year... but last year he had schoen and Lawler and a better OL and Brady Oliveira playing at an MOP level.
He had less bad games last year than he's already had this year & we're only 4 games in.
This week was the first week that he didn't have both Schoen and Lawler. He didn't have Lawler for the first half of last year.
He didn't go weeks in a row last year without a TD pass. He's 9th in YPG passing. 4 picks, no TD's. He's 8th in completion % just ahead of Dru Brown.
If you don't see the regression, then I don't know what your looking at.

Who would trade for Collaros right now? No one will take on his contract & he hasn't thrown a TD yet.

Yet no mention that the stamps needed an injury to the Bombers starting qb to get to OT?
Your Schick is as old and tires as some of the Bombers starters. Million excuses for the other team no consideration given the other way.
You think that the Collaros injury cost us the game? You should be ashamed of that opinion. Collaros was playing like crap. Streveler was actually a bit better.

To make it to overtime, we needed to:
- Make the 2nd longest FG in CFL history.
- Get our first passing TD of the year in a 70 second drive against the 'prevent' defence.
- Have Maier miss every single deep ball.
- Have Calgary continue to call the deep ball over and over.
- Have Calgary throw a deep ball instead of simply taking a FG on 3rd down.
We've got 3 left against the 3-0 Riders, 2 against the the 3-1 Lions, 2 against the 2-1 Argos & 1 more against the best team in the league the Als. That's 8 games against the top 4 teams in the league.

BC was first down on our 1 yard line and chose not to score. That's why the score looked like we could have won it.

The Elks very close. They lost to the top 3 teams in the league in the last 3 weeks. Each game by a single FG. (I'll call the Riders a top team when they beat a team that has a win.)

Win tonight and we're tied with BC. Lose and we're tied with Edmonton.

I don’t know about the rest of you but I, for one, quite enjoy being constantly reminded by Goalie that I am just a fan who knows nothing and has no opinion worth anything.
It’s nice, because it eliminates the confusion I have when I sometimes log on here and think I’m in the offensive gameplan meeting.
thanks Goalie! -

How many times did MOS say we gotta start faster? That seems to be the players talking point for the week.

Brady O is the straw that stirs the drink. He consistently gets us ahead of the sticks with 5+ yard carries, which allow us to do whatever we want on 2nd down. Without him, our O is severely hampered.
Lawler is great, but we were a very potent offence last year even without him. Can't say that this year.
Our pass pro has been spotty at best this year, yet Buck keeps calling deep shots, which turn into shots on Collaros. He won't last past labour day at this rate.
Collaros hasn't been on very much at all this year. I've always said that we became a great team the day Collaros started and we'll revert to a middle of the road team when he retires. Looks like I need to add or can't do it anymore.
All that being said...
All is not lost. We're 0-2. BC had to put 2 starting O lineman on their 6 game this week and their OL play was poor in week 1. It's a good chance that they lose this week. Even if they win, we're only 1 game behind them. The Riders beat Edmonton. Big deal. Everyone beats Edmonton. Even if the Riders win this week, we're only 2 games behind them. We can catch up labour day/Banjo bowl. Calgary beat Hammy. Anyone have Hammy as a good to great team? Nope!
Next week is a huge game. Win it and we're back in the hunt right away. Lose it and we're looking up at all the Western teams except maybe Edmonton.

That was 2018. He couldn't throw the ball back then. Is he better now?
Who knows? Buck won't call passing plays for him.

Why are we having a wake for the death of the Bombers dynasty?
Why are people pretending that they knew it was coming all along? (Mike & Booch did)

In the last 3 years, having the ball on the 7 with a minute to go needing a TD, was a guaranteed win for us. This year, against a bottom dweller with 2 rookie corners, we couldn't get it done.
Last week, I blamed the loss on lack of practices for the vets & lack of TC playing time. I expected a full week of practice to change a lot, but it really didn't.
Our O line was man handled. Our receivers dropped some balls. Collaros threw 2 picks, 0 TD's and 123 of his 285 yards were on two huge plays.
The D gave up 130 yards rushing & 35 minutes TOP. DB's played better than last week. Note that this was against a first year starting QB who had only thrown 150 CFL passes.
I'm pretty worried about next week against the Lions. An 0-3 start would be horrible if we want to be #1 in the West.

I wanna see Strev throw the freakin ball when he's in. Running all the time lets the D focus on it.

I think Oakman goes to BC. Their D line got soundly beaten last week.
-
Montreal - Owning us makes you the best
Toronto - Didn't miss a beat without Kelly
Calgary - Maier took the sacks instead of throwing the picks
Saskatchewan - Beating Edmonton doesn't impress me much
BC - Needs to fix their O and D lines
Hamilton - BLM looked better than he has in a couple of years
Edmonton - Looked closer than last year, but still found a way to lose
Winnipeg - Worst showing of the week, yes we do need the stinking practices
Ottawa - TBD
3 stars turds and maybe a glimmer of hope

True, but that's not the reason the Collaros is playing badly. Even when we get ahead of the sticks with a 5+ yard first down, we aren't converting on 2nd down at a similar rate to last year.
