Fair enough - was just curious.
-
You never watched Doug Flutie?
-
That's fair. I just always lean more towards the ball control QB. And no, BLMs more effective ball control is not just because of the system Calgary uses. Reilly is just less of a ball control QB - that's just who he is and how he plays. Some people would say they don't want their QB playing that way, due to injury risk. But then, the guy who has played more cautiously and always had a good OL - is currently the one on the shelf It's just interesting how these things unfold.
-
Their game against the Bombers was closer than it needed to be - Lawler's TD should have counted.
-
When they're both healthy, I would take BLM over Reilly - any game, any day. I simply dislike a heavy reliance on 50/50 balls. And one thing Reilly did have in Edmonton...elite receivers. It's not that complicated - the Stamps can cut Bo or reneg his contract - if Meier keeps on playing well
-
Changing to Andrew Harris.
-
Plus the Lawler TD - IMO that's worst call so far this season. With a few more games experience - Maier makes some of those plays - that's all I was saying.
-
There were some missed opportunities for huge gains. I think a guy like ZC or BLM behind centre would have capitalized. One TD or another chip shot FG = a win
-
Yeah - but that's not something Lapo would say or post publiclly.
-
In that case, they will extend him during the season. I am happy we played him 2 weeks ago. With a few more games under his belt - he would have beaten the Bombers.
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me if you don't attack lanes with confidence, it becomes harder for your blockers to do their jobs properly.
-
Wow - that's about as harsh as it gets with Lapo.
-
Maybe. We will see. I actually thought Calgary would win yesterday, when they were leading 20 - 17. But they had no answer for the Esks' running or passing attack - 15 unanswered points in the last half of the 4th quarter. The punt return by Hammy was actually a deep punt with good hang time, but several guys could not beat their block - excellent execution by their return team.

This could be the year when several teams win both labour day games. Winnipeg and Hamilton dominated, especially on D - the Argos made the game close(r) with some garbage time points. Calgary / Edmonton are the x - factor, depending on which version of Trevor Harris shows up.
-
Yeah, which is why I chose Calgary in the pick 'ems...

All those woulda coulda shouldas Sacked, belted, pressured, outplayed One huge #for the W

1. The Jeffs - just kept meeting at the QB - for coffee breaks 2. Collaros - a gritty performance - that is all 3. B. Alexander - a leader on the back end - the glue that keeps the secondary together HH: Andrew Harris HM: the Coaching staff - this team buys in and plays hard

Huge break! That was a 50/50 call. -
Vaccines are the single biggest medical advancement, ever.

@ KBF - who's your neighbour?

If if's anything like the Sens, you will find cheap or even free tickets on kijiji.

We spent a lot of time convincing ourselves that NFL scouting was being done well. I would say it was about average, given that many of those players had long CFL careers, but Canadian drafting was abysmal.
-
Oh, those were the days in Bomberland. The kid looked good in garbage time, so we'll start him next game.
-
Joe Mack era was the worst for me. He seemed like a good hire - had everyone fooled for a year or two.
-
There was one game a couple years ago, one of those big deal type games, where they were far more aggressive.
