This is an excellent point. With the way the CFL has evolved into a 70 - 80% passing league - half back is the most important position on a CFL defense.
It might still be mostly the same system - but ZC runs it a lot differently.
I mean, if it reverted back to mostly QB runs and check downs to the RB...the D would have to be very stout, and even then we might still lose.
The final result will speak for itself, just like it did in 2019.

It was interesting. He randomly completed some long throws, then started throwing downfield more, but the Als adjusted and picked him off.
It was, at best, a steep learning curve - not aided by a subpar OL in front of him
