Covid-19
I have always preferred Pepsi, because I found Coke to be too sweet. I did not notice a metallic taste before Covid.

Covid-19
Ever since I had Delta back in November, Pepsi has a strange metallic taste. The grand days of rye & pepsi are over.

Fair enough. And I think it would have been removed either way. Every majority government does pretty much what they want - that's just reality.

So, the procedures are what you're on about. That was textbook politics in general.

If you're looking to criticize Harper, you'll find that the Wheat Board is not a good issue to do it on.
-
Canadian Politics
The wheat board was a non-issue. We didn't need a board to market any of our other crops. No one in Canada grows exclusively wheat on their farm. To be honest, most farmers quit farming because their kids no longer want to farm. And with land prices insanely high, it's a great time to get out. 100% correct. There are no more small farmers raising hogs, but still plenty that raise cattle or poultry.

Are 7 Canadian spots not already there by default? They can only have 16 Americans on the game day roster (plus 2 QBs).

Loved Adam Bighill's response to Bob Irving's rants about the ratio - on Twitter. The players aren't going to ratify an agreement that removes the ratio.

If they could get another fan base like the one in Hamilton - why not? Oh I know. It's an unprofessional way of doing business.

Just over 400 000 - half of Winnipeg's population.

That's my take too - eliminate the ratio and an incompetent GM will overspend elsewhere.

Subpar Offensive Lines are a problem on many teams BUT, the most important positions (OT) are being filled with 95% Americans So, to say the OL issues are created by the Canadian ratio, is over-simplifying a complex problem Winnipeg has built an outstanding OL by signing and retaining of THE BEST American Tackles available - while scouting and drafting good Canadians They have a good OL because of the ratio, not in spite of it And, good players are well paid, regardless of nationality.

Covid-19
The flip-flopping on masks led to people only wearing them because they would get a fine otherwise. Just look at how many are no longer wearing them. When I got my second jab, people were lined all the way to the parking lot to get Pfizer, while in the Moderna line there was myself and maybe three other people. These things are not just the result of personal opinion. The media and the messaging had an impact.

Covid-19
My beef with the media and by extension public health, is the way things were reported There was a new Covid study reported in the media literally EVERY DAY Too Much Information - has been a huge problem during the pandemic People started the ignore the Science, because quite frankly, one study or one article often contradicted another one That happened because Science is fluid, which is exactly why not all of it should end up in the media

Covid-19
Absolutely. People would pretend to be horse owners in order to get their hands on it It's also relatively simple to acquire Ivermectin for 'human consumption.' You can order it online without a prescription, if you know where to go And people certainly did that.

US Politics
You certainly have an idealistic view of Canada. We've had our fair share of violent uprisings, both before and after Confederation. It was the Rebellions of 1837-38, that started the movement towards Responsible Government. Trudeau Sr. said it best: "we are lying next to the big elephant, and can't help but be affected by every twitch and grunt."

Of course people will make up their own Science if the message is not consistent. Look back at March 2020 - everyone followed the rules. Think about why that changed.

Unless this is hyperbole, we have to assume Canada has passed the tipping point as well We are not insulated from any of it
