I think Mike and JCon do. Being frikken jerks.
Again piss off Mike. I really don't value your opinion enough to care what you have to say about this.
Look at the reaction to what I’ve said compared to the reaction to what you’ve said.
I don’t really care whether you value my opinion or not. It wasn’t my opinion. It was me telling you to stop being an idiot and getting on Bluto’s case for literally no reason.

Piss off Mike...don't need your holier than thou shtick. You are no better than that here half the time so save your indignation and go look in the mirror.
Or you could just stop being an idiot. Not that difficult. Literally no reason to go after Bluto, he doesn’t deserve it. You’re smart enough to know the difference between someone who has earned the heat and someone who hasn’t. Act like it.

Speaks to his credibility as a poster. I know that living in your Toronto bubble and occasionally spending time at other CFL forums leaves you out of the loop, but Migs is generally regarded by all CFL fans in all CFL forums as a wingnut....even his own teams forum posters acknowledge it and are embarrassed by him. When your team gets a fan forum someday you will understand.
Speaking of his own team’s forum posters being embarrassed, going at Bluto like this for suggesting you debate the guy instead of just screaming bloody murder because he’s making a very debatable argument is quite embarrassing.
Literally no reason to take shots at Bluto. He’s right.

I know it’s not a glamorous area for most guys but our already mediocre special teams depth got absolutely pillaged today. We’re going to have to hope guys like Jake Kelly, Bret McDougal and a few others are ready for those roles.

Yeah, I know. But a bunch of the other teams were able to poach some valuable pieces during the tampering window. The guys we are losing, as much as I agree it is time to move on from most if not all of them, are not going to be easy to replace with CFL rookies.
Had we spent time actually developing guys last year I would probably be more confident that there was a succession plan in place.
I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, but my counter point would be to ask if you’re paying as close attention to the pieces those other teams have lost as well

Why are you guys even keeping this guy engaged in a conversation? You’re keeping him from his sister, let him live.

The best way for me to try and think of the Ouelette money is through a lens of “would I have been happy if the Bombers paid him that money” and if we lost Brady, I think my answer would’ve been yes

He might argue differently. Not a bad dollar amount for a guy who isn’t a bellcow. This is one of those “sounds about right” deals to me.

160k a year for Ouelette. Not great, not terrible.

I'm sure there will be a number of guys we've signed over the last little while who don't make it to camp. Happens every year.

Does anyone know how much Ouellette signed for in Sask? They made the announcement official but I don’t see any numbers reported, hoping it was an arm and a leg..
Chances are if you’re not being told, it’s because SSK got themselves a deal.

Sure, there is the odd guy who just plays for the pay cheque but you are trying to sell me on guys coming to the CFL are doing so for the money?
Players are coming to the CFL because it beats getting a 9-5. Do you think everyone who enters the league makes responsible choices in every aspect of their life? There are absolutely guys who sign contracts thinking “wow this sure beats having to apply for full time jobs, I’ll **** around for now and figure it out later”

There were some that were questionable, but nothing really egregious.
Dalton Schoen (which is what I was asking about earlier) not being named one in 2022 should tell you everything you need to know.

He looked disappointed last year when he found out he had to stick around for the championship parade.
Did you see his interview this year on the first day of training camp? 😂

That's a tough life lol imagine doing a job you hate
Lots of guys just play because they’re good at it, not because they enjoy it. Most of them just won’t say it out loud because of the fan reaction lol it’s just the reality of things, I’m sure lots of lawyers/doctors/whatever else don’t love their job either. To suggest otherwise is just oblivious. Just because pro sports gets glamorized doesn’t mean everyone who participates enjoys it.
Hell, I have a good job that pays me on par with all but the high end CFL players but I’m not excited to be the best at it and I sure as hell wouldn’t do it for free. It’s just a job.

They got that Deonta McMahon who I think will take a lot of the early down work. Didn’t look great as a feature back trying to grind it out but definitely flashed as a guy who can run outside the tackles
