Then again normally when ppl announce significant changes it’s not with 5 games left so if it’s immediately implemented then it’s 100 percent replay related. It’s something to do with replay or roughing the passer penalties cuz honestly you can change rules all you want but a significant change is protecting the starting QBs cuz nobody paying to see backups play. Thats a league wide problem and would make sense. Or AI reffing.
I honestly don’t know why you think that they’d be holding a press conference on a Monday morning to announce replay changes.
This is obviously a much bigger deal than you’re making it out to be.

I think significant is really going to mean significant. I can think of one way they’d change things up … 3rd down and 5 or less, you’re not allowed to kick the ball.
Field dimensions wouldn’t make sense - logistically too much of a challenge because of the teams that share fields with other teams (see: us)
Going to four downs is the easy choice, I don’t think it’s that.
If it’s not directly rules related, I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce they’re going to one division. They could technically announce that effective immediately, not that it would make sense.

80 and 81 and on the internet is impressive guys. That’s wow. I’m actually congratulations really.
im half that. lol. But seriously, my grandparents couldn’t turn a computer on. At 80 not shitting the pants seems like a win honestly. But impressive. Guess you older guys are used to ppl shitting their pants like the bombers have done this season.
Also congratulations to our senior members who, despite apparently being fortunate that they’re not shitting themselves, can still formulate a better sentence than some of us young guys around here

Oline offers minimal protection...rarely a pocket...constant break downs
Dline no pressure...interior has zero athleticism to do anything in this configuration...or play making ability
And we wonder why we look horrible
Lot of that easily fixed with personel
HC who thinks its not an issue
Bye bye playoffs
I mean I know you’re boys with Strevy or whatever, but let’s be honest … he stinks

I disagree with that. You can make changes and while it might not be significant, it will have a cumulative effect that just might make the sum of the parts greater.
There's a **** load of complacency going on right now, changes end that PDQ
I agree with you in theory, I just think we are SO far away right now. I suppose if Elgersma comes in and turns out to be Joe Montana …
Wilson, Demski and Brady is a nice three headed monster on O but everyone else is just so god damn useless. Our D is sturdy but has what seems like absolutely no playmakers. I guess you could call Houston a potential playmaker depending on what he’s got left but one isn’t going to be enough.
I just don’t know what change you can make that is going to make us even somewhat impressive at the line of scrimmage.

Player wants to play. No shock there but for his own good someone needed to be the adult in the room and tell him no, focus on next year and don't take unnecessary risks.
This times a million. The player can make a choice but it’s not their *responsibility*, who was the adult in our room who takes on the *responsibility* of telling Schoen he has to shut it down?

I refuse to believe our team doctors would risk their reputation (never mind their license!) over this. But hey it's all Osh's fault...
You refuse to believe anything remotely negative lol I’m not sure who did it, but someone grossly mishandled Schoen’s health. And I don’t mean Schoen himself.

Oshea has become Dave Ritchie at the end of his tenure. If you're not his guys, you don't play.
Per Ed Tait. Schoen tore his acl in Calgary and tried to play through it. Done for the year.
Legit ridiculous we did this AGAIN where we trot a guy out there with an injury when we’ve been burned by it so many ******* times
at what point is this just no longer “loyalty”? when does it become “negligence”?

Is this site real cuz I’m a bit mind blown reading some of this stuff from a few of you. I mean the posters who refuse to accept criticism or refuse to actually acknowledge they could be wrong In their opinions don’t like O’Shea cuz he’s smug arrogant and I quote “O'Shea has repeatedly demonstrated that he is rigid in his thinking and thus resistant to change or criticism. His personality is such that, if pressured, he will double down.” He’s just like you guys who complain the most about him.
Literally the most self unaware person ever lol

Why spend draft capital on guys when you don't want to use them? It just means you're playing lower upside Canadians somewhere else.
Just to revisit the Shay pick, Walters literally said “we thought he was the best defensive player in the draft”
So here’s my question
If you think you got the best defensive player in the draft but the best defensive player in the draft isn’t good enough to get a single defensive rep in the first three months of the season, then why did we follow it up by drafting another defensive guy with our next pick? And a futures pick with our third pick? And trade up in the global draft to draft a defensive guy too? In a home Grey Cup year, if this guy isn’t good enough to see snaps then maybe we should’ve tried to do something else with that pick, no?
or is O’Shea just not utilizing this guy properly? To me, that seems like the most obvious answer.

In fairness to Allen, I think we need to decide what we want as a fan base. I’ve been asking to let the talented young guys play. I’m not going to get upset at a guy like Allen for a wildly obvious beat as a young player, it comes with the territory. I’ll take that over the (as an example) approximately 376 times Bighill didn’t blow a tackle because he was three steps away from being able to make one.
The one thing I would like to see from Cam Allen is for him to realize the difference between when he needs to hit and when he needs to tackle. I’ve been overall decently happy with him other than that, even with the blown coverage yesterday.

The part I don’t get about this is I literally remember the days when GCn would talk about hearing things from players because of working in the hospitality industry.
I don’t get his obsession with doubting that players could talk to mere CITIZENS. I’ve had Wolitarsky in my basement for drinks, I’ve worked out at the same gym as Hefner, Suber and Willis. I’ve got to house parties at Swiston, Kowalczuk and Andre Douglas’ house when they all rented together. I’ve had to get Charlie Roberts a taxi home from the bar so he’d stop begging people for smokes. The stuff I’ve heard and the stuff you can hear as people around the city is out there. The interaction is there all the time, these guys aren’t millionaires with their own circles - they’re just dudes. Why is there so much doubt that Booch has similar access when we all know he’s got history coaching camps and being involved in training?
