No clue but I absolutely loved his response.

Darrin Bauming ‏@DarrinBauming 31s32 seconds ago I am told former #Bombers running back Nic Grigsby now has a new agent.

Hey .. a lot of us might be eating crow if and when the reasons for why Grigsby asked for his release become known .. the perception (now at least) is that he quit on the team ..

Friesen is trolling the club hard though .. so there's always yin to the yan ..

This. I don't doubt that the guy has talent .. needed to be refined and he certainly lacked as a runner in our system .. but he simply has no heart .. he quit when he faced a bit of adversity. And let's be honest, his numbers this season are more a reflection of the number of carries he's had as compared to his peers. Volume has allowed him to stay near the top of the league in rushing .. but even then .. he was steadily falling back to the pack.

Press conference at 1:40 .. O'Shea will address this at that time (part of his usual media session).

This is all Marcel thinking he has a big play offence. After 3 quarters of 2 and outs again, they'll string together some 9 play drives just in time to run out of time. Complete and utter BS. I've said time and time again, this offense looks much more proficient when they are running an up tempo three minute offense .. they consistently move the chains and put pressure on opposing defenses .. I'm not sure why it takes us 57 minutes before we start to move with urgency ..

Was it just me or did that Hamilton receiver look way offside on the Collaros scramble for TD?

Great move, Penton? To that I say HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! I concur.

Hate to necro a thread .. but it looks like Kackert was injured in practice today .. ‏@TSNScianitti 11m11 minutes ago A setback 4Chad Kackert? Appeared 2jam leg on last OFF. rep. Limped&threw helmet.Teammates consoling him #Argos #CFL

@PentonKirk Great move by the #Roughriders, though. They couldn't get Burris. Needed a veteran. No .. it really isn't though .. it's a move born out of desperation .. similar to our move to sign Bishop under Kelly .. it's all about trying to salvage part of their season .. and I'm not sure you do that with a 41 year old quarterback who hasn't played a meaningful snap of football in two years.

All a matter of keeping things in perspective .. we were *NEVER* going to address all our woes in a single season .. despite the good start .. there were always going to be rough patches along the way ..

This makes a lot more sense than Burris. I'm a big fan of Matt Nichols and I think he'll do quite well behind a strong Rider O-line. He has the tools to be successful but durability and a bit of bad luck haven't allowed him to take that next step. He'd definitely be a better passer than what they have their now and allow them to be more than a one dimensional team ..

Just because the original thread got turfed due to the road it started going down .. I'm going to ask that people try to remain on point with the discussion else this thread will also be locked and be allowed to sink slowly into obscurity.

Contacting the kicker should be instantly reviewed considering that they(punters) fake the seriousness of the hit the vast majority of the time. You'd think there was a sniper in the stands! Little known fact .. CFL Punters / Place Kickers are part of the FIFA World Players Union .. ;-)

And we're done. This is why you all can't have nice things.

Sherman lost his lid on the play. Play is over at that point. Nope, he just can't participate further. He didn't have the ball. Ah .. difference between the CFL and NFL rule then .. It's pretty much the same rule. Play is only dead if the ballcarrier loses his helmet. That's what I'm talking about (and assumed) that the CFL followed the NFLs lead in this case and blows a play dead when a player loses his lid. I misinterpreted your original post. Chalk it up to a Sunday morning lack of caffiene.

Sherman lost his lid on the play. Play is over at that point. About the only thing they could do is award the Bombers the ball .. there would be no ability to advance the ball.

With the lead up that Desjardins had... over a year (?), he should have been able to find some gems - playing Dobson Collins and Marcus Henry as your main guys is just ridiculous. Only good receiver they have is Wallace Miles and Mack/Walters scouted him. Just scanning the scrap heap... Greg Carr, Jamal Miles would be upgrades over that crew 2 CFL drafts, expansion draft .. plus the year .. team would have been much better off with Glenn instead of blowing their wad on Burris.

For all the leagues attempt to ensure Ottawa was able to field a competitive team right out of the gate, it amazes me how truly terrible their roster is. Lacks depth and overall talent across the board. Really shouldn't surprise me though considering Dejardins track record.

Not going to let this devolve into another pissing match. I've pruned some posts and will lock the thread if it continues.

Just shows a lack of commitment on his part.

Which is precisely why he's on his what? 4th team? This is yet another example (if you needed one) that talent alone isn't enough. Athletes need to have the instinct and the competitive attitude to be at the top of their games. It's not an issue with instinct .. it's the mental part of his game that lacks .. and he's demonstrated that time and again with every team that he's been a part of ..
