  1. Everything about this season screams Winnipeg (looking for a bargain). I’m glad I’ll be in Minnesota watching the Bears and Vikings instead of Grey Cup.
  2. Just a a question (and I’m not giving Strev a pass) but do you think an offense, that has Dinwiddie’s fingers all over it, would look anything remotely like what we’ve seen this season?
  3. Colour me not thrilled to see Wallace drawing in next to Kolankowski. He has tools but at this stage of their respective careers, Vanterpool is the better player.
  4. That's just not true. He's got a better completion percentage than Vernon Adams, a hair behind Bo Levi Mitchell .. he's in the middle of the road (league wide) in terms of accuracy.
  5. What I find incredibly frustrating is that people just don't acknowledge that the game plan we had week one (vs every other opportunity Strev has had whether in relief or as a starter) has been night and day different. Week one they let him run an actual offense and low and behold, looked pretty damn good. I'm not saying he's the next one or will ever be a great quarterback but you can't handicap a guy and expect him to be lights out. It only undermines any chance the offense as a whole has to be successful.
  6. Poor guy. Loved Schoen and what he brought to this team in terms of toughness and talent - it was was a great combination. Back to back ACL tears though ... that's going to be tough to come back from as a receiver (if he does at all). I can't believe this organization trotted him out there again.
  7. Well played sir. Well played.
  8. Mark's joke went right over your head .. didn't it
  9. You dug into a tweet from three years ago?
  10. It's no coincidence that our offense looked best at the start of the year with: Bryant - Vanterpool - Kolankowski - Neufeld - Randolph. Every other combination they've tried has looked progressively worse. Wallace, for all the raw tools he has, was exposed in a big way last game and it doesn't help that he's playing next to probably one of the weakest (if not weakest) center's in the league.
  11. I’d keep Stan as long as he’s willing to play. If a young guy comes in and beats him out for the LT so be it but even with his uneven play he’s still one of the better / best tackles in the league (and a strong voice in our room). Willie you keep. You just need a more disciplined, well rounded end on the opposite side of him. He’s got a lot in the tank still but he always thrived when he played with a guy like Jeffcoat.
  12. It’s because they chose to gut the heart of the team all in one year. Moving on from Biggie, BA, Woli .. these are guys who yes, we should have been looking to move on from but also were leaders, been through the ups and downs of season and provide steadiness. Before was the topic de jour, I was talking about how we needed to find the next Bighill. Guys that oozed potential but needed a year or two of seasoning behind a guy who holds others (including himself) accountable. BA is another one of those guys. He’d lost some of his range but what you want out there is a guy who is confident, get others in position and communicates well with the secondary. Kelly. Parker. Allen. They aren’t that guy. Allen has been better than ANY of the other guys we’ve had back there all season but he’s still not good (yet?). If I wanted to watch a guy flap his arms in the air as a ball sailed over his head I’d rather have had BA back there this year with the leadership upside.
  13. Put Cam Allen in the: not a great DB bucket. At what point does Younger realize he doesn’t have the horses to do what he wants to do on defense?
  14. Bombers are pissing away a very winnable game.
  15. The game day thread will be posted tomorrow. This and the Banjo Bowl thread are serving the same purpose. I’ll merge the two.
  16. I think it speaks more to the point about Elgersma (and his camp) being willing to exhaust *every* NFL possibility (no matter how odd the fit might be) before considering coming back to Canada.
  17. It honestly wouldn't shock me if he didn't land on the Packers PR or went unclaimed. The NFL is all about shitty politics, optics and what sort of draft capital an organization spent on you. You'll see guys who never amounted to anything get chance after chance because they were once a former 1st or 2nd round pick (or worse if they had measurables that teams covet). An undrafted Canadian QB from a Canadian school is facing a tough, uphill climb. I *genuinely* hope he gets a chance to stick down south for a bit. Selfishly, I hope we see him up here sooner than later.
  18. He might finally be feeling right after getting a bit nicked up early in the season.
  19. Brady had 73 yards receiving last night with 72 of YAC. Made a couple of really nice one handed grabs on some dump offs as well.
  20. Ya - looks like they are special teams tackles for both guys. Feel free to rage away again.
  21. And if we're being completely honest, Zach has hung Schoen out to dry more than a few times over the last couple of years and is part of the reason Schoen has taken the beating he has.
  22. I guess that's one thing we can cross off the "things to rage about" list ... our rookies *are* getting defensive reps
