I have to wonder if Kelly pulled himself out of the game after being below average the entire first half?

Just a conspiracy theory for now..but something to watch for considering his known attitude problems in the past.

I have to wonder. It seemed like he didn't make much of an effort to walk it off, and normally they just tape you up, sending you back in. Zach's injury last year seemed much worse, but he did everything he could before bowing out.

I just watched the highlights because I'm not as strong as the rest of you.

The sequence where Harris threw to the same corner 4x in a row, with the last one being intercepted in the endzone, was pretty weird.  Don't think I've ever seen a QB lock in on a piece of turf like that before.

What highlights? I didn't see no stinking highlights. 🤣

The Mouse doesn't have CBS on his ships.

Most cables don't have CBSSN, either. Not only that, but CBS took the Bomber game off at half on Saturday and put on soccer. I had to register online and scour the network site for the stream. It had every team and league listed except the CFL. CBS is worse than ESPNBA-so much for building viewership down here. Maybe CFL+ will work out.

CFL Convert - not sure if you ever saw this "Engraved on a Nation" documentary that TSN did on that plane crash, but you might find it interesting.  We have not forgotten here in Canada about that tragic event.

Apologies - all I can find is the trailer on Youtube.  Not sure if these episodes can still be found online anywhere.

    I had no idea it

existed. Thanks for letting me know.

This post and along with the week's "Battle of Steubenville" contest (Collaros vs Najee Murray) brings to mind a sad story of another Steuby grad with Canadian experience, Calvin Jones. Cal was an All-State, All-American 1955 Outland Trophy winner with the Iowa Hawkeyes. When the Winnipeg Blue Bombers offered him MORE money than the NFL, he went north. Calvin had a good year and made the league all-star team. He slept in and missed his morning flight home, taking a later plane. It crashed leaving no survivors. Jones is celebrated in his home town with a monument outside venerable (1933) Harding Stadium. His storied rival in college was Ohio State's Jim Parker who went on to a HOF career with the Baltimore Colts. Cal was the first African-American to grace the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine, and his number is one of only two to be retired at Iowa, the other being that of legendary Nile Kinnick. Steubenville kids all know his story and are inspired to this day.

Bad enough the jerseys LOOK awful but they're so hard to read the numbers and names. Feel for the broadcasters... Been there.

I know everyone says TO needs to be good or the league will fold but MAN I want Chad Kelly to suck so bad. Such a cocky prick. Needs humbling.

I saw Kelly play for Buffalo St. Joe against Steubenville High School. His team lost, and he had several tantrums. You could see the talent, but the attitude was terrible. He.took a lot of hits that night.

I should have prefaced my comment by saying I'm not trying to discourage discussion, but the very obvious lack of understanding of basic football on the part of some is just baffling.

There's ONE football to go around, we need to run the ball as well, nevermind the time spent on defence too. We're not going to have four or five 1,000 yard receivers. This isn't Madden.

Oh. And Kenny Lawler is coming back eventually too. Here's the reality: There's going to be a very good receiver on our roster that maybe has in the neighbourhood of 500-700 yards this season - and that doesn't mean whatsoever that they had a bad year. There's just only so much opportunity to be had with as many mouths to feed that we have.

Also, keep in mind that they ran the ball on first down for most of the second half against Hamilton and most of the fourth this week. If pressed, the passing yardage could have been off the charts.

A warm welcome from Winnipeg and points west. If you were watching the CFL games thus far this year, we owe you an abject apology for the quality of the games. Hang in there- its gets better, particularly tonight when we turn the Saskatchewan Roughriders into roadkill.

Thanks. I've been watching since 2012 so I know Ricky Ray doesn't come along every day.

  9. Greetings from the home town of ZC. I saw Zach throw a TD pass when he was in 7th grade, and have been a fan since. I'm a retired history teacher who, at this point, kinda lives vicariously through him. I've been a Boatman fan, a TC adherent, and am a HUGE Bomber fan. I simply watched his Sasky games - there's just something about that place.. I have enjoyed watching CFL contests since 2012. The rules are better than the NFL. I was terrified this past off-season when "four downs" was mentioned - NO WAY!
