If you were Dru brown, would you sign with Ottawa knowing the history of that team as well as bad management & coaching? If I was Brown, I'd be hesitant if they offered me the most money to play for a tire fire of an organization like that. I truly hope he uses common sense to know that money might buy him more problems than he really needs. Brown reminds me of Nick Arbuckle. Small body of work. Thought he should be a starter. Has been bouncing around since. He'll probably bounce his way out of the CFL now the way he's played. 

Still, it would be good to find a short-yardage, younger QB who has potential for a higher ceiling than the very limited Prukop.

Agreed 100%. The same posters dumping on Collaros will be the same posters dumping on Brown if he is our starting qb & struggles.

We have so many Canadians that play on defense there's no reason not to use more Americans on the defensive line.

He said 2023 Zach looked like late career BLM/Calvillio (although I don't think Calvillio really ended on a bad note - can't quite remember off hand). BLM is hot garbage. Zach was first or second in the league in every relevant category.

I would think he would look at and need the perfect situation to challenge as a rostered situational back, as well as upfront guaranteed "significant" money or he says no....and I don't see either happening, and not too worried....If he takes a feeler and misses the first half the season he will be nice and fresh to run through people on way to cup appearance 5 in a row

I’d love to see them coach together again. They are soo on the same wave length it’s freaky. Buck might be in the closest thing in an offensive coach too. 
 
If most left buck would get the shot a million percent. I don’t think he’s ready for it yet. But who knows pressure makes diamonds. 
 My ranking of replacements would be coach o, then walters if we could get Ringmaiden back in walters role, then a pick ‘em of Ryan Phillips, monsoon maybe killiam, Washington, Mace, Miles, and buck.  Each of those guys have strengths and weaknesses some have higher upside but are really raw others have less and more polish. It would depend on how they want to run things. 
 I expect a good 80% of those guys will have a hc gig here in the next 10 years and maybe 2 or 3 at best will develop into quality hcs. Buck has the inside track. I really like Washington miles and maces upside. 
 I actually think jy has that potential and could rise quickly. Bourgoin and Stanley do as well but they are much further behind in terms of polish. And ol coaches never get love, poor Costello.

I'm the biggest Collaros fan, but he hasn't looked right for about half of the season & it started before the hit that took him out. Too many picks. Gotta fix that.

Biggie is on the back end of his career. Still a decent MLB who can cover side to side, but not the exceptional MLB he used to be.

From what I read Rourke played in Ont. right thru high school.  Then he went to the states for college.  Sounds like most of his formative training was in Canada.

Hefney? He was pretty good but the best? That's a bold statement. Celebrations are okay unless you need to use a toilet. Then crap all over the back of a teammate like the Lions do. I\m with Booch, I like the been there before attitude. What drives me nuts are when players do stupid celebrations like sack dances, flexing or holding the ball with an arm extended dropping like Duke Williams does with the ball when their team is down by 30 points late in the fourth quarter. We do it so it's just not exclusively the other teams doing it. Where were you earlier, dumbass when a sack or big catch actually might have made a difference???? Just keep the celebrating to yourself.
