Confirmed. Penton says Richardson has torn his Achilles. More on this tomorrow.

There's no way signing one player at a lower rate will suddenly set a new market for top picks... that's why this whole argument is BS... the market is already set... last year's first few picks and this year's first few signed picks are what the Riders will have to pay St John... otherwise he'll never suit up for them
On the micro level, for JSJ alone, you're correct but on the macro level, if this is Jones' approach, we win.

This is great news for the Bombers. Completely win-win.
If Jones is successful, this lowers the cost of rookie NI O-linemen. That's a win for us.
If unsuccessful, Jones creates a situation where players are less interested in signing with them. That's a win for us.
Grab some popcorn and enjoy.

He was a high potential guy but never stayed healthy or came close to living up to expectations. He was a bust, showed flashes in 07 and 08 but over 6 years had dismal production. Henoc on the other hand is a ratio breaker and a big time play maker. One of the better lbers in the cfl and still young.
Yes, I went back and checked out his stats. I certainly remember him having a larger impact. Funny how that's clouded.
Wonder what would have happened if he could have stayed healthy.
That's another reason Henoc is wasting his career, IMO, sitting on the sidelines. An injury could end everything tomorrow and he's missing key earning time. When his football career is over, he can focus on other pursuits, but now is the time to earn, baby, earn.

He is dramatically better the lumsden though.
Is he? At the time, he was a ratio-breaker and pretty darn good. Maybe, my memory is foggy and I'm remembering Lumsden more for his potential, rather than reality.

Exhibition games suck but I have to admit I'm looking very forward to watching. Football I'd football and yeah it will be tough to watch but I'll be watching both bomber preseason games
I'm not as convinced that 1290 will take over after Irving retires.Isn't cjob available throughout the entire province? I'm not sureif 1290 is. I'm not convinced that I even get 1290 50 minutes up highway 6 at my lake
Wasn't it Irving/Buchko that secured it for CJOB last time?
Other than conflicts with the Jets schedule, I can't see why TSN1290 wouldn't be the best fit.

I wouldn't mind a highly amplified fly-by - something like this, but more dramatic, and Blue, maybe with a boom at the end.
If you could make it start at the south end zone and work it's way across the stadium to the north (or vice versa), that would be cool!
I'm not a big fan of the "cannon". Yes, I know it's been around for ever but I never cared for it.
I'm less concerned about what's happening on the field after a TD, as I'm usually high-fiving those around me.

It just doesn't seem plausible that Jones would low ball JSJ that much. I'm sure we're only getting part of the picture.
I think JSJ has the most to lose, though, if negotiations drag on much longer.

Why trade for him when you know Popp is in a bind? They're keeping Adams and Glen. Chances are he has to release Cato and you get him for no cost.
True but...
If you trade for him, you're not going to compete for him with other teams. You also have a guarantee on the contract.
Who knows what they wanted in return though.

Yea I saw this last night and I couldn't even dignify it with a response. Since he joined the team he stepped up as a leader on our squad and I think he was very good at it. Locker room and side line leadership, not like Doug Brown's stoic quiet lead by example but grab the bull by the horns type..
silly rival fans.
And he's active with fans, reaching out and meeting them. Autographs, Twitter, etc.
I'm bias to defensive players, but I really, really (possibly love?) Westerman.

It looks like if you are in the upper deck you are really far from the field unlike IGF where being in the front row like I am you really close to field.
I love IGF for that. I like feeling close to the field and action. There is a cost, of course, with steeper stairs, but I think it's worth it.

"We were disappointed that better players were not available when we drafted. We didn't really have much to choose from. But we drafted these guys and they'll play for less money than some of our veterans, so they'll undoubtedly make the squad.
Wish we had more to choose from."

Guess I'm a glass half full guy....you?
I have no idea how full your glass is.
My point is simply that incentive based contracts do sound like the ideal solution for GMs but may not always produce the ideal outcome.
I do think this is a good deal for Riders.

You want a motivated employee?give them the opportunity and incentive to earn money, when you don't have to just hand it to them.
You want a disgruntled employee? You tie their salary to incentives and watch them implode when they don't get enough opportunities to earn the bonus.

It must be terrible to try to set your draft order. So many good players on 'invites'. You just never know.
GMs really earn there pay on draft day.

I'm happy for him and the Bombers but I'm sad for us (the readers).
He provided some of the most thoughtful, balanced coverage of the Bombers and Jets.
He's in the Hall of Fame, let's not forget.

No, but you may hear of Adderall, another name brand or the active ingredients methylphenidate hydrochloride.

Hello! I didn't introduce myself.
Long time Bomber fan and season ticket holder since I moved back to the province 8 years ago. Now currently, located in the front row of 234.
I now attend games with my oldest son, who is 6. That tends to drive my game day and what I want out of the experience.

CFL needs to get new Adidas jerseys right - From 3 Down Nation
I thought there was some really good points in there.
The helmet, being one. Illegible numbers is a beef of mine. The issue of Edmonton's side panelling was quite interesting too, which I hadn't considered.

2016 Transportation Plan

I found the park and ride system to be the best means to get myself and my son to and from the games.
My issue has been with the disorganization after the games, including where and when to load the buses.
Sometimes they load at one spot, sometimes another 10 feet back (or forward). Wouldn't matter except that there is no formal queue system, so it's every person for themselves fighting to get on. There are some really observant and helpful people who try to help those in need get on. That does not include the Transit supervisors who create the mess. They are indifferent to suggestions or complaints and are strictly worried with no one crossing the street to load before it's time. They don't care where the bus stops or make any attempt to help with the queue.
They also choose to load one bus at a time (at the start), which would make sense if there are only a few people trying to get on. However, when you have thousands, it actually delays the departure of buses and does not help. Of course, that's all thrown out the window after 15 to 20 minutes when all the buses seem to open their doors.
Once you get on the bus, all is good. I find it fast and efficient; however, the mess they create leading up to that point is exasperating.
