Two very different situations.  On one hand you have the 2013 roster in dire need of quality Canadians.  On the other hand you have the 2017 roster that is already in pretty good shape in terms of Canadians AND we had an additional first round pick that was used to bring in someone who is here now.  In other words, now we have the luxury of taking a flyer on a guy who may never show up.  In 2013 we did not.  Not to mention that in 2013 it was the #2 overall pick being used and in this case it was a late first rounder.

Hopefully that's because they're getting serious about digital distribution and will be launching online streaming and archive subscriptions so I can finally cut my cable completely. But I seriously doubt that though.

What some boards would do is have a info only thread separate from the discussion thread.
For example, I've seen this on Star Wars forums where there is a lot of activity.  So they'd have a thread where you can only post the info (tweets or whatever) and NO discussion.  Then a separate discussion thread.  That does make it easier for casual visitors to see the info.
Personally, I prefer this site as is, maybe because im here often.  But the discussion and insight is as good, if not better, then the mere facts posted.
If someone comes along and thinks a thread to catch up is too long, they will then know they should visit more often!

There was a documentary that had actual footage of Vick doing horrific things to these animals. I own a pit bull and she is the biggest wus. People like Vick who should be anywhere near animals are the reason Pitbulls have got a bad rap. The owners are the ones that need to be put down
