Funny, in the other post you call those who pointed out the mistakes of the Bombers trolls who "only ooze out from under the bridge after a loss to bash everything", but this is a good synopsis? Double standard much?

Here's Drew finally speaking on the issue.  He's slurring his words and can't remember who he is or where he is, but other than that, he seems totally fine!!

The ball would be placed back at the 1 yard line, so there is certainly no guarantee they go for it and get in on 3rd down.

Bass was good.  Hurl still can't blitz and he is slow.  He didn't do much stopping the run.  2 tackles for a Middle LB is not much.

You wouldn't have to make it a policy.  They are already working the food lines at homeless shelters here.  What you should do is make it a policy that all NDP-voting dope-smoking welfare sucking able-bodied men over the age of 18 should get off their lazy arses and go work at homeless shelters.  I've got two neighbours I would love to see on a food line helping out the homeless, instead of staring at a video-game screen all day in mommy's basement with a bong glued to their face.

sounds like you would have made a good candidate for the NDP in the last provincial election in Alberta.  Except for the part about making $67/hr.  My brother in law was complaining to me that his MLA is now a 24 year old kid who worked at Starbucks and lived in his mom's basement. He didn't have a driver's licence either so mom had to drive him to work and around the riding to campaign.  He's going from $11/hr to $140K a year in salary.  Gotta love politics.

Sort of. If we introduced nudity for our O-line, it would probably distract onrushing players but you would have to stick with shotgun snaps for the center or else....

Brohm's problems are.. He doesn't look off his first read. Makes it easy for the defense to read.. He isn't mobile enough (ok he had a 24 yard rushing TD that was hilarious), his release isn't quick enough, and his arm strength is just barely ahead of Alex Brinks. (that isn't a compliment) Mind you he wasn't the only problem tonight but the thing that bothered me is that he wasn't so over whelming terrible enough for Marve to get enough playing time. He was just bad.

CaptainHadley reacted to mbrg in Protecting the QB's: NFL vs. CFL
Entirely the opposite.  You get a solid 2 steamboats to tee up the QB after the ball is gone in the NFL.  In the CFL it's less than one.

In the NFL a horsecollar tackle means you've grabbed a player using the shoulder pads and pulled them over backwards, a rule made specifically to prevent torn ACL's.  In the CFL, it's pretty much the tackling of any player who has a collar on their jersey or a collared shirt hanging in their locker, and is thrown at random times when the Bombers may be mounting a comeback in a game.

You are putting this on rules and reffing and completely overlooking the types of athletes each league prefers at QB.  The NFL has a strong preference for large durable quarterbacks.  Their job description is to stay in the pocket, make the throw, take the hit, repeat.  The CFL looks for QBs who can keep the play alive and take advantage of our larger field.  At the end of the day we will only ever get the players that the NFL doesn't want.

Both are generalizations and there are examples of the opposite being true for both leagues, and of those exceptions having great success.  And some NFL QBs get extra protection from the refs.  If a defender breathes on Brady's toenails a flag will be thrown, whereas Carson Palmer will get no such protection.  Maybe he should paint his toenails like Brady does.

Look I'm a believer in this team, I think we got the potential to contend for the West this year, I think we can go up against the Stampeders and Eskimos and be competitive and even win, hell I think our talent is good enough to win the Grey Cup.  O'Shea's doing a great job and I love tonight and love this team.

But come on, someone sees an area they get concerned about, they should not be knocked for it.

    Hello all.

Have been a lurker here for a while.

I have been watching this discussion for  a while now re: location.  I just can't stand not to comment any longer.

I would drive from Charleswood over the years to Canad Stadium and park on Silver on the other side of Route 90 for years, sometimes paid for private lots closer, but still just beside Route 90.

The Canad Inns Stadium location sucked more and more as development of the area progressed.  St. James Street and that whole area sucked, SUCKED !!!

As for IGF Field.... It is the only true Football Stadium in Canada with a world class artificial surface.  I sit in the second row in the upper deck on the 10 yard line and it is a dream come true for watching football.  I can jump up, take a pee in a beautiful washroom with lots of service/access, then refill getting a beer within a couple more minutes.  The seats are comfortable - we have cup holders.  My friends that are handicapped have amazing choices and sight lines and are easily moved to take care of their private business.  The food and access areas are miles ahead of Canad.

As for transportation access... with the shuttle system, park and ride etc. I understand now since last year it's a piece of cake to get too and from the stadium.  Me I was smart and put my money down early with my season tickets and bought a season pass in the blue section - I wasn't a cheap whiner like I am seeing here - I put my money where my mouth is.  Get over it whiners.
We are now watching football in paradise !!!!!   Grow up you negative nilly's.

I am going and sitting in the upper deck on Saturday in Regina at Mosaic.... now that is a peace of crap hole if you want to whine about something... obviously the whiners here have never been to Mosaic.

    Go Bombers Go !!!!

Hell yea. Try any other major metropolitan area and then come back and tell me about traffic... I've been stuck for hours on freeways on vacation no less.. Spent more time in gridlock in Florida in a week then I would spend in 6 months going to work and back.. Frankly, much of my "rush hour" is free flowing with next to waiting and I go from route ninety to transcona or from Roblin and Dale to transcona.. 35-40 mins just about every time.
Going to the mall/restaurant/etc from hotel to location in almost every place I've been during rush hour.. 1.5 hours easy.. Freeways 8 wide completely stopped dead.
