the term castoff sounds so negative, like players their former team didnt want and released. Ottawa got to pick and choose off every team among players that were unprotected, and there was a small limitation to how many people could be protected. That doesnt mean a lot of these unprotected guys were unwanted, or not thought highly of by their team, just couldnt save everyone. I think thats a huge difference between trying to give someone a 2nd chance after being released, or trying to throw money at FA in a cap era. Ottawa should not be compared to a rebuilding team because the league gifted them a strong team by doing the expansion draft. no other struggling team has that luxury.

good to hear, I think they got pretty decent writers behind their games, should translate well to film

this is kind of where I like a GM/HC because they'll always be on the same page, but at the same time, it might hinder both jobs due to a non 100% focus on either job at any given time

I think if I watched goldeneye again I might get the craving to go out and find a N64 at a pawn shop just to play again, thats one game i got addicted to playing multiplayer with my friends then got right into the solo aspect, Black ops and its zombie multiplayer side game was like that for me too. that said, With Black Ops 3 coming out or just released (not sure) and the barrage of video game to movies being released, I wonder if they ever go big screen with Black Ops Id think assassins creed might eventually - and ive never even played the game, just based on its previews looks like it has all the making for a movie.
