I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Bo Levi Mitchell and Co. for becoming the first 15-win team in CFL history to get to the Grey Cup and choke. They are in the process of finding out who they are right now.

?‍?The CFL unveiled the list of officials for Sunday's big game. The name Jeff Harbin appears under Video Official. The same Jeff Harbin who has made several key mistakes recently, in leading up to the Grey Cup. There is no word whether reviews will be reviewed or not. 
Up until this time...there have been no challenge flags thrown on the announcement.

This game matches Calgary with a +19 Turnover Ratio (#2) against Ottawa who were -10 (#7 in the CFL).

The argument for the defence playing off the ball is valid, but it's still not the reason we lost. The running up the gut is valid, but so is the mention of the whiffs. 
We did not lose on scheming. We lost because we didn't tackle when we had to. Way too many times...right up to the last BC series. We were always there..we just didn't make the play. 
We haven't tackled this poorly - team wise, for a long time. It haunted us yesterday.
For example, and only 2 examples. BC had the chance to stop two of our runs, and if they didn't , we score on one, and get many yards on another. They made the tackles. We had many more than two chances, to stop some runs..and didn't. 
It's football, they handled that aspect better than us. It shouldn't even have come down to the last couple of plays.

As we made adjustments for BC, so did their crew. 
Let's face it, we took what they gave us. I don't think we shrunk into a shrink-wrap offence. We did complete a couple of passes in each the last two quarters of over 40 yards. One to Gudino, the other to Denmark. 
And I distinctly remember at least twice where, if not for a tackle by a BC defender, we would have gotten way more yardage. But there are plays out that to be made - by both teams. 
By the same token, you could say BC played a softer second half game also, the major difference being - they executed, we didn't. Especially tackling.
The game was exactly what it turned out to be  - close, and we didn't execute when we had the last chance. 
Hey, one more completion, and nobody's talking about playing it safe.

Offensive line is improved. Thought they played very well this year, lots of time for the QB, nice holes for Harris.
For some reason I'm looking forward to Calgary shredding BC.
Sorry the season ended so sourly, but thanks to those players and coaches for a year that had a lot of fun times.

This team made some strides...but still missing some pieces....

That is how I feel. I'm okay with the penalty because it puts the fear of God into em. They'll start getting the alligator arms in traffic.. 
Also, if ever there was a guy who deserved to take a hit like that, it's Manny Arceneaux, who's been imposing his physical will on DBs for years... 

The Bombers will consider this season a success and rightly so. The real test of success however will come next year and whether or not they can maintain and/or improve upon it.

I couldn't agree more. This year was a step forward next year IS the real test we take the next and hopefully last one to end our drought.

Best record in 13 years. Played some great football after a 1-4 start. I'm not disappointed with this season. But we need to grow next season and take the next step. Simply getting to the playoffs won't be good enough. We controlled our own destiny late in the season ( for a home playoff game) and lead for almost sixty minutes but we didn't pull through. It's how we rebound and get better next year which is the true test. If we regress then it's a failure but I'm a half glass full kind of guy and we made huge strives in bringing stability and giving the fans an honest effort day in and day out. Good season overall even after a tough defeat. I'll tell you guys this.. I'm looking forward to the next season a lot more then I was at this point last year.. So that has to count for something!

So the Bombers are finished for another year. Sad yes but I was certain that they wouldn't be in this position when the year started. Yeah they had some good players but they never seemed to get their act together. 
Well, they made me eat crow and I honestly could not be happier of that. Yeah it would have been great to go further but I thought we were just a few pieces short to do so. Surprisingly I was okay with that because this team showed me they are for real and it has been a very long, long time since I have gone into the off-season very optimistic that they ARE a few pieces away. Not even 2011 left me with that feeling.
So I could whine and ***** about today but I would much rather enjoy the huge steps forward this team took. That has been a hard thing to obtain for the Bombers. I can easily wait a bit more because there is now light at the end of the tunnel when I thought we hadn't even entered it yet.
Thanks to all the 2016 Bombers you brought a lot pride and honour back to this franchise and community.

If that hit is going to be called a penalty every time, then I'm probably going to go ahead and take the 15 yards every time. Call it the cost of doing business. It's a shame that a clean hit draws a flag for being executed too effectively.

Loffler didnt have time to stop and say...oh ok he didn't catch it. He was in the air when Manny tipped the ball away. He was making a football play during the most important game of the year to seperate the ball from the rec. Didn't lead with his head. Even turned away from the hit. Two big guys running like that, there's bound to be an accident here or there. They called Loffler only cause Manny didn't get up. it unfortunate, but you can't penalise guys for accidents. If Loffler had jumped under Manny's chin, then sure that's not good. But he didn't. Manny was Ko'd as a result of playing hard football. Not cause Loffler tried to hurt him.

They call roughing the passer all the time when a guy does not mean to but falls into the quarterback low or late

What if he'd caught the ball?  You have to make that kind of hit in the end zone.

Lions win the coin toss. Elect to kick. Medlock gets first of 7 field goals in first drive. Lions elect to receive kick off after fg. Loffler nails Burnham causing a fumble at the bc 42. Second bomber possession. Screen to Harris for 35 yard td. It worked before. Bombers up 10 zip within first 6 minutes. Jennings plays ketchup rest of game, results in record 7 turnovers, by fumbles, 3rd down gambles, and int's. Bombers win. Bomber fans rejoice for one week. Begin visualizing defeating Calgary in final.

All Osh needs to do is go 14-4 next year and then he'll get the recognition.  I agree though this year would have helped his contract talks, somewhat.  I think by now we all know what he brings to the table, and it was great watching him finally come into his own this year.  That was a steep learning curve.

Derek Taylor brings up a good point that, while MOS would likely publicly say that he doesn't give 2 shits about individual recognition for COY, it *does* probably have a lot of importance to him come contract-talk time....

Lest we forget.

well I guess it's time for the boys to win the award that really matters just to prove a point.
