  1. Past hour
  2. I shoot high 80's as well. Usually do a bit better on the back nine....
  3. I guess my point is if you have a GM who finds the need to bottom out then how did he get there in the first place if he didn't inherit a mess from the previous GM?
  4. We don't know if he lied to the doctors about how good his knee was and how ready he was to play, but if he has reinjured the same knee ligament, this is bad news, The team will cope, one way or another, but his ability to live an active, pain-free life is very much in question now.
  5. Apologies if this has been posted before. Absolutely abysmal management of the players health here.
  6. IMO you want to be either in contention at the top or at the very bottom. Bottom out, draft your franchise player, and climb the ladder again. CFL is obviously different, as the draft isn’t as important as the bigger leagues.
  7. I was thinking the other day when I saw a prediction that the Jets by 2030 will be bottom of the league full rebuild and it got me thinking in theory is not the role of a GM and his support team to never get the organization into the position of needing a significant rebuild? Is this a reasonable expectation across the board for professional sports GM's or are there way too many factors involved that make it easier/harder (city, revenue etc) for some GM's over others?
  8. There was so much that could have been done to avoid it, but at this point I’m afraid you may be right. The core of the team was alower to all age out at the same time and coaching/management have made too many boneheaded decisions over the past 2+ years. Out of the guys we currently have, who can you rebuild/reload a team around starting in 26? QB- Zach is 37, Strev is pretty much done. We have no idea about Wilson but Inhave my doubts, no idea about Artopeous. No idea if Elgersma will ever come here. RB- Brady is still in his prime. Peterson is a solid backup. We’re pretty good here WR- Demski is playing very well but getting up there in age age, and pretty beat up, probably doesn’t have a lot of years left. Pokey is a keeper, Clercius is a keeper. Wheatfall is solid but not special. Everyone else is borderline useless. OL- Wallace with some seasoning will be a keeper, Bryant is old. Vanterpool and Randolph are keepers. DL- Willie is on the downside of his career, though he’s one of my all Time favourite Bombers and a surefire HOFer. Vaughters is washed. Woods needs to start a number of games to see if he’s worth keeping. Adams is decent but not great. Thomas and Kornelson, we all know. LB- Woodbey is promising but we’ve only seen 1 game. The rookie Canadians are promising but completely untested. Tony Jones is mediocre, Wilson is old. J. Jones never sees the field but should be a keeper based off how he played for TO. DB- Griffin is a keeper. Allen is a maybe. Vaval is a maybe. Holm is pushing 30. Nichols is aging rapidly. Others are mediocre at best. ST- Sergio is very good, Sheehan has improved. Leaves us with maybe 7-8 skill players worth moving forward with on both sides combined. 2-3 OL. 1-2 DL. I’m pretty sure we need a full scale rebuild at this point, the cupboards are pretty bare.
  9. Is that what he said? Ridiculous, but not surprising. There needs to be a point where the coaches have to step in and save a player from himself. A player wanting to play through a particular injury, does not absolve you of any responsibility. Like you said…. Just sickening.
  10. Lol.... said as if the Bombers haven't played in the grey cup 5 straight years. Oh man they are a special group aren't they...
  11. If this were true there'd be some ******* in green in a picture at field level with a sound level meter and it would be all over social media.
  12. Today
  13. I loved this era of blue bomber football, I appreciate all the good memories in the past decade but I really think it’s time to clean house this off season. I want a head coach who cares about player safety, not someone who thinks it’s heroic to play injured, it’s cost us a lot of big games, and now potentially Schoens career.
  14. I'm no doctor or anything like that, but if he tore it playing Calgary, why in the world would they put him out there even if he is wearing a brace. Kind like putting Zach out when his throwing hand is bleeding.
  15. It's funny cause it's just as loud when it's half empty compared to when they have a sell out.
  16. well...who makes the roster?? The fact he tore a just repaired ACL ....right there you shut him down....Sure you can brace it but can make things a lot worse....and just delays the surgery....wont heal without it....just incompatence top to bottom...even if the player "agreed" to try....you just dont do that...especially woth a marquee player I like how Osh said he "tried to play though it" orwas he forced...influenced with bad advice?....just sickening
  17. haha rider fans saying the toilet bowl is louder than IGF now too. ****ing delusional group. My god
  18. I'm livid we have apparently ruined Schoen and his career. Who decided to play a guy on a torn ACL. That is malpractice.
  19. you cant rehab a torn acl....need to surgically repair it, and who knows if it also cause cartilage damage too You can rehab and actually play thru/with and mcl one tho...but wasnt the case here...right after the CGY he should have been shut down for yr and scheduled forsurgery...gross incompatnce...malpractice...call it what you want Miller must or should be seriously considering waxing this group out the door...like when is enough stupidity enough? well...15.5 games actually...so all of the season he wont be ableto even make a try again until 2027...if he lucky
  20. lol considering the Rider players themselves were constantly talking (To the media no less) about how fans would always say "I don't care what your record is, just beat WPG on Labour Day"...I'm not sure that guy should be posting about mid season grey cups.
  21. sadly...I can doubt it....I think thats last we seen of him...Can thank Osh on that one too....He put him on roster I agree....been there....and re-injuring a new rebuild before it actually rebuilt...bad news... you know who made the decision....D'oSHE TOP TEIR LEADERSHIPEH? There a reason we lost last 3 in row....
  22. And also missed most of last year for the exact same injury.
  23. In that situation, no. You play the play as if they're going for it. That could have been a huge moment had they gone for it. I'm not faulting the coaches for that at all. Nichols got a **** bounce from the ball. They snapped the ball in shotgun formation on 2nd and inches....that was surprising....
  24. we ruined him....Injuring a repaired knee after it hasn't fully healed...bad news...he wont even be seen next yr....consider him done...I cant see a 2027 comeback being anything other than meh. Osh needs to go....Couture and his staff too have my doubts about...consider who we rostered the last few yrs in the playoffs We effectively this yr more or less took ourselves outta both the Lawler and Schoen sweepstakes...on a grey cup year...and passed on Rhymes..Coxie...Lewis...Dunbar...among others Just the fact he re-injured it...and we knew it and played him anyway....sickens me....I can see a first time and nottotal tear, as you can brace it and somewhat play on it...tho not ideal for a reciever...but none the less...what a epic mistreatment of a player If you recall as soon as I heard he was braced up in practice....i said bad news..red flags...he gonna be done sooner than later...low and behold Man it not even my knee and I furious about this.... Ritchie tho was a an actual coach...and his guys were his Achilles heel...but he also rostered the best available for most part....until they had next to know tread....big difference....better coach... Saw with Logan too....clearly not ready....Dude didnt just lose it over an off-season And also....I wouldnt even call it loyalty in a lot of instances....some yeah..alot stupidity....and a lot playing to his fav's...
