Parker has paid his dues and put in his time, he's been around since 2022 and has never become a full-time starter, after a full year of rehab, this is his big chance to establish himself as a team leader. People may have forgot but at one time he was the backup returner for Grant.

Eli seems to botch a snap whenever he plays centre so that might be the line that the coaches have drawn. He's great in that 6th OL role

Seems they value Vet presence at Safety. MOS always talked about how Alexander was a general out there and making sure guys knew their spots.

More and more mom and pops are going to be going under, just can't compete anymore especially with the way costs are going up and up, an already razor thin margin is sliced to the point where it's just not worth it anymore.

Unfortunately Eli is not one of them. I banged his drum for a long time to be starting over Kola, he just fails to seize any chances given to him.

The guys making the decisions disagree. I mean it seems there’s always something right. Eli has been around since 2018 2019. He’s not some fresh faced rookie. He is what he is and what he is is a backup. Wallace passed him year 1 basically and Vibert prob next year. The Eli hill is an odd one. Dudes been the next one for 5 6 seasons now.

As opposed to kolo consistently allowing that several times a game...for yrs...and has a real hard time working with his guards in tandem? Not saying Eli is all world...but he is better...and if he played...would get even better yet Kolo hasn't really won anything...I'd say there are 6 guys on our roster...active.. and pr and injury who are better than him

I am kind of glad we have it this year tbh. An extra week to prep in a new offensive system for a QB that has not had a start since early last year with a couple of new receivers can't hurt.

If Jake and Schmek want to sit out... like permanently... that would be just fine

I agree, Eli has to win the job and he clearly has not done so.

I hope we just go for pedestrian returning first game while Logan is out and save that DI spot for a guy on defence to show what he has to be honest If I was a betting man all of Bonds..Nichols..Holm..Parker..Griffin and Bridges will be on roster...how used is another question....I truly figured somebody would have supplanted bridges spot tho...may still...Best bet it be Allen one would think as he showed the most Dream world would have Ayers..J.Jones and Woodbey as import backers to go with Shay..Smith..Gauthier..Cadwaladder..Novack...as those 4 Canadians would be huge on temas and we know Gauthier can take defensive reps and sure Shay and Smith will get some opportunities...but don think ratio wise we can do that with 3 imports unless we take away from elsewhere...which would be dline and dont like that thought

Seems like it. I'm very curious to see how the roster shakes down for week 1. Is Griffin staying at Dime as a DI? If he does, who is going to KR? How are we going to work the imp Lbers? Week 1 bye sucks as a fan lol.

Yeah basically Parker is a vet...he knows whats up from down...and good choice as if an injury occurs at a half...corner...or SAM he easily slides in any of those spots and we drop a guy into safety I guess they going the old familiar with Bridges to start, and if he just not cutting it...they tweek?

Jacked that it's cam mainly at DT. I get rolling with Parker despite limited PS play/success, he's done a lot in the past, even in limited reps. I don't get what we see in bridges. But we always start out with a guy or two like him that gets swapped out after a few weeks. Not that he's awful, he isn't rock cartwright or tyquwan glass. Just maybe this years version.

I think Eli will remain a backup until the next best Natl. O-lineman displaces him. This pre-season clearly illustrated he's never likely to become a starter, couple of times every game he allows the guy he's blocking to waltz right by him and lay a solid lick on the QB. It's hard to gain trust when the QB is always worried about his backside.

Allows the cover team to be and secure lanes too...and limit the spots for a returner to pick as his seam Also...that returner gets the ball and can instanlty head straight up field unabated for 10..15 yards before first level of coverage guys are even close..let alone set up in their scheme Ryan had no touch or placement and generally out kicked his coverage...NFL...NCAA punting is a totally different game and a high hang time and distance guy thrives...same would happen here if a guy can bang it...with good hang time allowing coverage time to get there...or even have a 5 yard halo established...how many big returns do you see happen when guys are respecting the halo...not very many...if any
