You need to spy him as he'll just run when he makes his one read & panics if that receiver isn't open. That's all he does is run. He's not good at anything else.

He plays more self preservation style now...so they need to customize a lot of stuff for a cerebral style now...he definitely doesn't get the ball out as fast as Strev either...its out of his hands lightning quick...once he gets more reps and a comfort level with the system and his receivers hes gonna be very effective... Cooley runs with speed and violence in traffic...and can still side step guys...he is definitely gonna pop some long runs out of the scrum if he gets more opportunities

Toews cap is 2 million. Rest is bonus. It’s all playoff related bonus money. So they can defer it to next year. I guess it’s like if the jets win the cup and JT plays the majority of games, he makes an extra 5 million really and if jets win the cup, who cares about the extra 5 million. But I’m not convinced if Ehlers leaves we will be spending to the cap then cuz how exactly. We got lots of cap space and Vilardi and samberg to sign as rfas. I’m looking at potential free agents and I dunno who we realistically sign unless it’s a boeser or someone like that aka exactly that. Jets do like him so it’s possible I guess but a dude signing here as a UFA gonna need to prob be familiar (boeser is) so yeah. I’d be surprised tho. Lambert ain’t replacing Ehlers either so. Chibrikov prob tho. Nino names Chib is prob a line. Don’t see lambert on line 2. He’s not there yet. If Ehlers leaves we could sign a boeser to replace him. Or we could sign 2 guys at 4 million. Who knows. Options but the free agents to Winnipeg market is likely limited.

3 stars. 1. Griffin. Guy was seriously all over on D. Versatility is great. 2. Parker. Had a great game after being just ok last week. His fumble return was huge. Play of the game. 3. Wheatfall. I don’t think he missed a pass. Caught every ball thrown his way. Dudes becoming lawler. &nbsp HH. Eli for sure. I popped for the TD. HHH. Since it’s all about the game and how you play it here, I’m gonna give this one to Holm who had 8 tackles. crunch of the game. Bridges on the BC receiver. That was nice. Awe on Peterson was big also. I love players who celebrate when losing lol. and gotta mention cooley who had a 6.1 yard average on 7 carries. Was better than Peterson actually all in all. 2 and 0. And season series. And 2 and 0 vs west. And let’s be real. Edmonton isn’t great, Sask is barely beating bad teams and Calgary? I dunno what to think. In my opinion. Winnipeg and AND AND the Als are the top 2 and then it’s a bunch of just average.

Strev was taking the short stuff when he had to. Getting the ball out quick, bombers had a good mix of run and pass honestly. This week? Not so much. Zach isn’t a guy who takes the 5 6 yards to the open guy, he’d rather go 60 yards in 1 throw still. Zach kinda holding the ball longer than Streveler did. Only slight difference is on Strevelers “big throws” he was throwing 20 or 25 yard passes that were turned into big gainers from YAC. Good example was the Wheatfall big catch, Strev prob hits him in stride while Zach, well Keric had to stop and wait. Huge difference.

For the last while all I think about when it comes to the Elks is trap game. Gone are the powerhouse days of the Double E.

Bombers either blow them out or play down to their level. There’s no in between here honestly. Honestly it comes down to Zach and the O. We all want changes at times but most those changes on D, our D is already very good. Our O tho with Zach recently? It hasn’t been. Without the Parker fumble return, yeah, the O didn’t do much. Wheatfall seems to be the new lawler tho so that’s nice. This is how the O looked last year without Brady also.

Kilam looked completely out of his element last week. Either that, or he absolutely despises Fajardo. Ford going against the best secondary in the CFL might wind up a slaughter.

Man. Got Neufeld confused with lofton. I did a Saskatchewan roughriders preseason 2 announcer thing where I confused a white man with a black man. Good lord. after watching again, oline seemed ok actually, BC aren’t exactly slouches defensively. And back to back makes it tougher. Zach started on fire but ended in flames. I’d get Mitchell on tho for sure because I think he’d want to prove something to Edmonton but Sterns seems to be a guy Zach likes. and prob Bailey instead of Weitz and leave it as is unless Brady good to go. Then you can take off Cooley and add your extra DE Like person who seems to be a hybrid type of guy who can rush the qb and drop into lb coverage. Versatility would seem to be a good thing. Dude should get a chance. it’s funny tho. Thought Zach would light it up cuz seems like he’s got the chip on the shoulder from the suspension but, he didn’t. And he’s still making dumb throws into double coverage and under throwing guys. Zach making rookie mistakes. The mistakes we half expected Streveler to make. If comparing Zach and Strev after 2 games, Streveler looked much better.

No but he needed a spotter to find the open receivers and someone else to throw the ball to wide open deep receivers. He missed those at least once in each game & they coulda been game changing players.
