  1. Past hour
  2. We're basically not dressing a full compliment of receivers right now but dressing Cooley to show the world he has no ability to catch kicks and nothing else....while we have a backup Canadian who can do that and more in street clothes on the sideline.
  3. Yeah the deep ball was bad, but the receiver was never open either. That was the definition of trying to force something just because. It may not look normal but I got no issues with strevelers arm or accuracy, but I've got grave concerns about every other part of the offense except RB.
  4. Like: Vaval...coaches patience well rewarded, 2TD returns probably the difference, tonight DL......the most disruptive game, we have seen from this group Streveler.......2 and 0 as the starting QB No like: Hogan........guy should be shipped off to a POW camp. Stupid play call after stupid play call. Bonds......useless, inept....... one man wrecking crew, for opposing teams... GET RID OF HIM!! Receivers........bottom tier of this group, just not good enough.
  5. You have to admit Streveler has pretty wacky throwing mechanics. Have you ever seen him feather a nice screen pass over a defender’s hands? He seems completely incapable of making certain basic throws. Even the one deep ball he threw last night was completely embarrassing. He didn’t give Wheatfall the slightest chance to catch it.
  6. It's not that people think he’s a stud, it's that he's shown some potential and we signed him early in the offseason and our receivers blow. So we want to see what a guy like that can do.
  7. Then why did we pay him like a stud receiver? You keep missing that part of this equation. I don’t think anyone here is clamouring for the use of Dillon Mitchell because we’re all long term members of his fan club. I think most of us are confused as to why we paid 150k annually to a guy who is turning out to be the 9th (at best) receiver on our depth chart.
  8. He put up near that amount in only 9 games as a rookie. The potential is (or at least was) there, he's just never gotten back to that level. Don't know if he'll ever get back to that but we certainly won't know if he doesn't get a chance.
  9. The lat month of the season... the only thing this team can do passing right now is short stuff and streveler does that way better than collaros. Probably because he's always having to throw around defensive linemen or linebackers.
  10. Today
  11. Wheatfall's struggles are married to ZC struggles... if you're a burner who runs deep, dont have much thrown to you when your QB can reliably throw 20 yards or under. Also fun fact: We have not lost when Streveler is our starting QB this year 🤣
  12. Agreed that Streveler did not look like a legit #2 QB, let a lone a starter and his throwing mechanics are odd at the least. The question for me is how in Hell did he last as long in the NFL?
  13. MOS on the pre game was talking about how Corcoran does all the dirty work well, how he's a hard worker etc and I kept thinking that's the MOS MO, Hard working, does the little things guy, talent doesn't always factor in see The Marine. They also say they don't want to move Wheatfall, so can he only play 1 spot. Wheatfall has about 115 yards in the past 4 games so its not like he's lighting it up.
  14. Honestly. Artopoeous in pre season looked like the next guy behind Zach. Has some zip on his throws. I love Strev. He’s the man but 5 years ago is a long long time in sports and he’s not a starting cfl qb. Not even sure he’s a capable backup honestly. If I’m Walters I’m looking for QB help right now.
  15. Gonna assume we are all back to hoping Zach is back next week and Vernon is not?
  16. As many here do, I like Streveler, Bomber legend, helped us end the drought but he's not a starting QB. He can't throw the ball well enough or consistantly enough. The game plan tonight was so conservative and an attempt to limit errors and we still had 3 picks. Can't have an offense of only run plays, misdirection and 7-10 yard passes which was all we got last night.
  17. Everyone making Dillon Mitchell out to be some stud receiver is I think fooling themselves. His best season he had just over 700 yards. I mean. It’s not like he’s some stud. Honestly. Him and sterns have similar numbers in their career.
  18. Add me to the list of people who think Streveler isn’t it. Dude can’t really run anymore and none of his throws have any strength behind them. 17 of 21 173 O TDs and 3 interceptions. There’s no future there. He’s Dustin Crum minus the ability to run. Seriously. Dude went to the nfl came back and got worse. Streveler isn’t in MBTs league right now and certainly nowhere close to a collaros. An injured collaros at that.
  19. One reason why they brought him onto the roster in favour of Mitchell was because “he did the dirty stuff” and blocks on run plays. My immediate reaction watching that and a number of other plays unfold was: Would help if he did that **** well.
  20. Strev looked like a 1 read QB. Then it was head down and plow into the dline. Looked ok in the short passing game which is fine sometimes but makes it tough to score when you need to always string together 10 plays to do it
  21. Totally agree. Someone needs to tell Hogan his O sucks and he needs to use Mitchell
  22. Why does it look like Streveler side-arms every throw? Dude has the weirdest throwing motion ever. If he could get a little more air on his throws, I think it would help with the interceptions.
  23. Only thing I could think is he’s a well liked joker type, but just doesn’t take things serious enough. Maybe doesn’t put in the effort with film study and practice, maybe wings his snaps and expects his talent/athleticism to carry. Like manziel. Just a possibility.
  24. This kinda feels like this is it. The dynasty of the last 5+ years has come crashing down to earth. There's been a slow fade the last few seasons, but this season is the spectacular explosion at the end. We're pulling off a few wins on the back of luck and a bit of veteran guile, but it won't last nor is it a recipe for a competitive playoff team. The crappy part is that it's only going to get worse from here for a long while until they completely cut bait and clean house. At best we might manage a couple half assed seasons, but our time as a league capstone is firmly in the rear view mirror, this game proved it more than any.
  25. Jarious Jackson has basically only had good seasons as a playcaller with MBT. Otherwise cheeks.
  26. I'm not as worried about Hogan because JJ is there. You'll never ever hear anything publicly about it, but I'm curious if (behind the scenes) JJ starts getting more and more responsibility...
  27. Add me to the list of people losing faith in Strev. Hogans play calling didnt help. Especially with how he utilized Brady. If I have to watch that pos read option play one more time im going to lose my mind. Bonds is a serviceable field side corner. He isnt your main guy though. Thomas is who we thought he was and Jefferson can still be the guy when he has more help. Vaval. ****** rights buddy. Hes very close as a db too. Like very very close. This guy has a future in the CFL I hope its with Wpg. That fade to our shortest rec in the endzone is a solid call mid 2nd q. Sure....throw em something so bizarre it might actually work....mid 2nd quarter i dont hate it. Under 3min in the 4th quarter during a 1 score game that youre scraping by on....might be the worst play call I've seen in 5+ yrs. Holy ****. There's no excuse for that and no explanation. I can only hope Hogan knows just how ******* stupid that was. Glad the defense and special teams came to play cause that offense was ugly. 4-3 and in the hunt!!
