  1. Past hour
  2. Brady signing is a terrible albatross boat anchor of a contract. I hate the $ and length. Putrid. On the bright side I am happy to have Brady here and that this almost definitely means Hogan is out. If the contract is one third marketing money, or the SmS jumps by 30%, I can live with it, so I reserve the right to walk this back if that is the case. My issue is solely $ and a tiny bit length of contract (if there is guaranteed year 3 $)
  3. I like Brady and am happy he is back. Plus you have to keep your talent and he's our best offensive player and best Canadian.
  4. That 7-11 is in Riverview where I grew up. And when I was learning to drive nearly drove my dad's car INTO the store with him inside. But that's a story for another day.
  5. Nah, I realized in my late 20's I wasn't good enough. With the loss of Patrick Mahomes, I wonder if the Chiefs will work out Elgersma as depth at the QB3 position?
  6. Today
  7. It's a lot of money to be sure but it had to be done. I also expect the salary cap will be going up again this off season so there'll be wiggle room to afford Brady. Imagine the President, GM & HC all come back & Brady leaves? The optics would be so bad. I applaud Walters for getting it done. Credit where credit is due.
  8. That is alot of money....hopefully marketing money takes a bite outta it, but So far I like the signings two of the three have been CDN and the 3rd a young guy with tons of potential...
  9. New CBA brings that down to 7years starting in '26, so they better get a move on
  10. Does this mean Hogan is officially gone?
  11. Any way you slice it he wanted to play here, the Bombers wanted him back and he's going to get paid.
  12. Only team who can give him 8 years tho. That matters. Quite the haul but not a fan of Rossi. He’s small as hell.
  13. Demski next please. this is a great sign that change is occurring as Brady made it known that he wanted to win I mean $$$ but he wanted to win so him not even testing free agency like was rumoured, great sign change is happening.
  14. I don't see how out of all of our players this guy couldn't qualify for the marketing money. I'd hope a good chunk is covered for marketing. 3 years for a guy in his prime that has "pardon the pun" carried the team over the last two seasons. Great signing.
  15. Check the regular season discussion.
  16. While it's great that he is back I'll be interested to hear what he'll be making per year.
  17. I am impressed with this signing something to build the team around. I thought after last season he was gone!! https://www.tsn.ca/cfl/article/oliveira-signs-three-year-extension-with-blue-bombers/
  18. I sure hope there is a ton of marketing money being used on that contract.
  19. I'd really like some clarity around where the cap is currently.... Also, this team can very much afford to spend past the cap. Don't go crazy, but ******* do it!!
  20. 3 years. 290 k this upcoming year. Yeah it’s a lot but for one of the very best players in the league in the prime of his career and a home town hero to boot. It’s a no brainer, especially with the rising cap. I would take Brady at 290 over Keon Hatchers at 330k any day of the week.
  21. Thank you Hal Anderson
  22. Glad this did not drag out for two more months; they got it done early. Probably means a hefty signing bonus.
  23. Couldn't be worse LOL Wonder how much he got. Must've been real good for him not to even test FA.
