  4. It's very possibly hopium but I have one whole complaint about the defense so I'm pretty excited about what that could look like this year. I like the pieces we brought in - Jenkins is a monster physical presence on the edge and I think it's crazy to think about the idea that on any given snap, you might be a tackle lining up against either Willie, Jake or Kydran. That's a lot of different tools in the toolbox to contend with. Another year of Woodbey is something I'm excited about, he gives me a lot of Adarius Pickett (with an extra 25 pounds) vibes and I genuinely think he could be an all-star on the back of a ton of splash playmaking. Our secondary seems like it's got the potential to be pretty exciting and I do like that we have a ton of versatility in all three levels. Our offense both scares and bores the hell out of me. I know that we've got big pieces (Brady, White, Demski and Pokey) but we have so many questions - the Broxton to RT is a move that I don't think we discuss enough as being risky, rookie American center could be less than ideal, our depth is about as thin as thin gets, our utility players seem like there's a good shot they're incredibly useless - so I'm just not sure how that all shakes out. I trust in Condell but I'm whelmed currently. Maybe we see Brady get 1800 yards all purpose and White/Pokey both go for 1000 while Demski/Nield provide 700-800 each but I just don't know if I see it.
  5. With significant changes on the line this year, it may take time for the starting five to gel - However, pound Brady until that happens, and even when it does, time for more Brady ball. His usage last year by Hollywood Hogan was criminal.

  7. Potentially last hours of feeling ridiculously optimistic about the season. I’m so ready to keep believing, though. GO BLUE!

  10. I am not hung up on how many touches Brady O gets as a receiver, but I am hung up on the reasons why he may get so many touches. If his number is legit called out of the back field as a receiver because of something our OC is trying to do, or sees, I could care less how many touches he gets unless they are unproductive. However, if most of his touches are because he is the safety valve and our OL is not holding up or our receivers are not winning their routes then I agree with you. That is more or less what we saw last year and you are right that is problematic.

  18. I like his competitiveness too. But I don't think he'll be the best as long as Rourke is around. It's hard to ignore Alexanders W/L record, but I just don't see the same pure arm talent, and his defense got him out of a few jams last night including giving him essentially 10 points. It's close, but I'd still put Rourke above him. Give Rourke the MTL defense and the results are likely similar. I guess if you want to ignore all of Banks' production on O. Has Grant ever passed 300 yards rec in any year? Banks is far more accomplished as painful as that is for me to say
  19. Not exactly underneath but yeah less of a jump ball/long radius guy. He’s good at finding open space and can stretch the field a little bit. I’d kind of compare him to Clarence Denmark.
  20. Just ******* win, baby.... #FortHew
  21. ‘Everybody else is playing for second’ year. Lessss go.
  22. I'm really hoping the extra American on the OL makes up for one less American with the receivers... we all know this offense thrives on Brady rolling and Zach having time to operate... a top notch OL dramatically helps both of those things...
  23. Today
  24. I thought White was more of an underneath guy rather then a deep threat double coverage kind of guy?
  25. Adding Jake Ceresna to the DL changes the complexion of that unit and the D so much. Hard not to be stoked to see what they can do.
  26. White = Lawler and Neild = Adams... not in actual football abilities... but in concept... just crossing our fingers the "concept" works out
  27. Janarion likely has a GC MVP too... if the Bombers hadn't pissed away that game... But... Speedy B, does have a league MOP... that holds some value
  28. Wheatfall had a bigger impact, tho!
  29. And Detroit could say sucks to be you, enjoy MoTown for the next 5 years. That's more likely than them taking Lambert & Heinola straight up for Larkin. Any GM who would consider that trade, should start packing up their office at the same time.
  30. TSN's narrative for that game was all about Lawler and the effect he was having on the game. Forgot about the Als.
  31. Feel really good about this year. Not sure if we'll win tonight but that won't change how I feel about the overall picture. I really like the improvements on D and having a legit OC and the two best offensive tackles in the should be enough for a pretty significantly improved offence.
  32. I swear most games in 1999, Kerwin Bell would have 125 yards passing through 3 quarters and then would pile the numbers up in the 4th when we were down by 3 touchdowns. Worst 5000 yard passing season ever.
  33. Let's go Bombers!
  34. The possibility of a fully functional DLine rotation alone, is cause for celebration. Make it happen Coach Thomas!
  35. Here's hoping for a better showing this year. Go Blue
  36. I was told Ivory is a good one!
  37. Finally! After a great off-season of signings, coaching changes and waiting, its game day!!!! Road to the cup starts today, LETS ******* GO!!!!!!!!!!
