As "real" a Canadian as Ben Cahoon ever was .. I think it's been said .. Offensive Player over the Defensive Player .. and the RedBlacks are the story this year .. the fact that a guy wouldn't recogni

italicized my guesses....

Westerman will get short-shifted imo.  If you look at his total numbers, sacks, tackles, tackles for losses and hurries he put up total numbers that are rarely seen by a D lineman in one season.

or just hand it to Rick Campbell now.... now does he not win this award!?

Westerman is gonna get the Royal screw job on his Canadian....

So would this be an appropriate time to dig up some of those posts saying what a bust Westerman was?

Westerman is gonna get the Royal screw job on his Canadian....

He might get a pity-vote. He deserves something for being one of the few bright lights on the Bombers this miserable season.

Well, Jones is HC and DC and had the best record in the league while missing his top QB for half the year, his top RB for the whole year, etc.,..... that may be how.

Westerman is gonna get the Royal screw job on his Canadian....

As far as I'm concerned he got screwed already losing to that jackass Simoni Lawrence for MODP

AS Westerman is in the west, he got beat out by Adam Bighill for that award

Area 51 is still promoting that Westerman is a bust over on the Rider Forum.

I hope he gets more than pity votes.  Not to take anything away from Sinopoli as he had a career season, but he was just one of four Ottawa receivers to crack 1000 yards while hauling in passes from this year's (most likely) MOP.  Imagine what kind of numbers Westerman could have put up if he had any kind of help?

Most of those were done after the first couple games when he wasn't doing squat. Everyone with sense has said that he stepped up big and has been maybe the teams best player since.

Westerman should win MOC but will get screwed because they want to circle jerk over Ottawa since the Riders don't get the media off anymore.

I think lack of help on the d line will help Westermen in the eyes of the voters and he wins.

I know that guy.... Area 51's user name actually explains a great deal. .

I saw a lot of Ottawa games sinopoli was really good, but

Westerman should win this.

He wrecked a lot of offensive plays this year, chased guys across and downfield, didn't quit on any plays, he's fast, strong, didn't cause any kind of fuss in a horrible year..... really like him.

who knows, playing on such a crapola team.....

I predict every award will go east.

And it really shouldn't even be close, but the media has ragers for everything RedBlacks so what should be likely won't be and a guy having a good season might win over a guy having a great season.

Who i think should win.

Annis Stukus Trophy : Rick Campbell (even though I think Jones is a better coach, you can't overlook Ottawa going from 2-16 to 12-6)

The media just loves that QB-turned-Rec story and will be all over that when voting.

Sinopoli was one of four thousand yard receivers on his team with the likely MOP passing him the ball. Think of the attention he didn't have to deal with because of who is played with.

Westerman had an outstanding season at DE, a position where the last outstanding Canadian was Brett Johnson almost a decade ago, on the worst dline in the CFL.

The media just loves that QB-turned-Rec story and will be all over that when voting.

The media now circle jerks over Ottawa the way they did over Saskatchewan. The media is full of morons and idiots (excluding you of course)

Ha ha ha ha ha ha. It's okay... I'm at least one or the other...

I believe the media will vote sinopli, but I think it goes without saying westerman is probably a close runner up for Dmop (bighill ahead of him but only 1 can rep the west), can you say the same about sinopli for mop? That alone should give westerman the nod but apparently feel good stories usually stand in the way of logic
