"Fighting" for jobs

That was usually the kind of game where people on a bad team, are exerting themselves mightily......to secure a position for jobs, next year.

Going past about 6-7 guys.....ya could of fooled me.   Appropriate finish to a disastrous year.   0 TDs (yet again) and 11 points in a CFL game, will never cut it and some of the tackling on D was a joke, indeed....

Starting next year, nobody should be safe on this team, period.  That applies to upstairs, as well.

I know people all around the league.......and most of them look upon the Bombers as either a figure of fun.... or an object of pity.   Even the gin does not erase the metaphoric stench.....

Yes, one can put out legit and sensible reasons for not having yet another purge.   But frankly, I'm just so tired, of this bull....and the lame excuses and rationalizations for why this team.... can't get it done under any circumstances.

Mo Leggett made an interesting comment on the Post Game Show, maybe the only interesting comment heard all year.  Irving asked what this team needs to change going into next year and to paraphrase Mo

  • Here was a Davis sitting on the bench for a whole season, playing his first game in about three years, who looked like he has the makings of a real QB. He can pass, he can run, and looks to be fairly

Clearly MB is going to go....  it's just a matter of will they wait several months or announce this the week after the Grey Cup.

The next question... do they go retread at OC  ,  bring in a Crowton type from down south,   or  go with CFL experienced newbie?

My early impressions are Khari is the favorite at this point so retread.

I dont like the term "country club" but I get the feeling there was very little to any consequence when players messed up. lack of accountability (maybe at practice it was brought out but it didnt translate well). Not saying MOS needs to go all postal, but I believe i was watching an edmonton game and a player messed up, behind chris jones he started doing push ups. I think it was dave ritchie that used to do that and i miss those dave ritchie teams!

You're absolutely right. No accountability and it's obvious by the way they play. That's on Mike ("but the player's like him") O'Shea.

a nickname isnt going to catch on no matter matter how hard you try nate jr.

Well .... it can't possibly be any worse can it?

Experienced newbie....isn't that an oxymoron ?

My wife left me because she said I'm addicted to oxymorons.

She was pretty ugly anyway.

Guy who played in the CFL though hasn't coached much yet....   Like another O'Shea :D

As much as I like Khari for at least OC, I certainly hope that whoever has to make that choice doesn't get monofocused on Khari to the exclusion of all others. It seems to me that we've had too much of that sort of thing.

Well, the buddy system has not worked very well, here.

Buck Pierce it is then!

The best recommendation that Buck has is that he is not Bellefeuille.

As a shameless Khari fanboi I say bring the man in.

Kind of like Jason Maas. No experience as OC at all before this year. Was Khari not oc with Hamilton. Is he another Bellefuile?

I love Khari as much as anyone but have concerns about his track record as coach so far.

Who cares? He is a real nice guy.  That should do it.

I can't believe it hasn't happened already. Why wait?

I assume they don't want to take any attention away from the Grey Cup and want all local and any "national" sport media to focus on the event.    It does make sense to me.

Just finished watching the Riders, playing out the string, in a season even more miserable than ours.....mount a good comeback, score 24 straight points, and show some gumption, in a comeback win......

Our guys?  Whatever.

And the 2015 Bombers went through the motions even though they had as much reason to play hard as the Riders and Als. Just sad and a condemnation of the current regime.

Some players did look meh for the Bombers, but you have to remember, Saskatchewan has had their evaluation period on for weeks now. Not an apt comparison.

We saw far too many 30 minute efforts for this team all season, for whatever reason. This was nothing new and just reaffirmed the problem and that they need some sort of changes.

Well, you said it..."for whatever reasons".

I'm not sure I would pin it on efforts alone, or some sort of player leadership issue comes to mind for me.

Maybe we do need that arrogant bastard type of player after all?

But yes, some sort of changes should be forthcoming.

The coach-player mix just isn't right.

Yeah, I guess the Bombers don't want to be embarrassed before they play hosts to the Cup. Oh wait ...
