So the cost this year for Henoc is 1/3 of season and next year we can use Picard's salary

You're assuming there would be a next year on Henoc's contract.

Maybe he's looking for one of those deals where its a few 1 year deals and they're sitting in the GMs desk drawer.  Allows Henoc to try out the NFL each year, but that club retains his CFL rights.  I believe Elimimian had one of those deals prior to his current contract. 

Those contracts in a drawer were only a factor because of the option year. Now a one year deal is simply that. So if Henoc wants to be a rental player until the end of 2015 it's his choice.

The thing about renting is that sooner or later you decide it's better to own and have more control over where you are investing your hard earned money ...

I'm still interested, still want him here.

That's probably a job that he'd really consider.  How could he not?  Here's his two options, stay in wpg where he is under pretty big pressure and could get fired after a terrible season..(just look how often we clean house) or go to his CIS college and be the athletic director and probably have that job until he's ready to retire.  Worth considering

I didn't think Hurl would be able to up his game enough to be a starter but he is at least adequate as MLB, and he is nowhere close to being in the top 5 problems the Bombers have.

Damn this is getting ridiculous already.

It's pretty awesome. I hope he gets another NFL shot. Seemed to have a good year last year.

Why would he not exhaust any and all possibilities in the NFL? Not having to sign a one with an option means he can wait and sign up here for the playoffs and become a FA in Feb. again.
