  • A finely tuned machine like that doesn't need practice anyway

Brady’s always questionable/DNP/Limited. Unless both his legs fell off, he’s playing.

  • I agree. Why not use the day to start installing the game plan? The more reps they get, the better, IMO. They’ll obviously need to be a lot cleaner to have any shot on Saturday.

I would think rest is as important as anything at this point...

With practice, they could improve from not completing a pass in one quarter to not completing one for a half.

you can practice without excessive physical activity...not like practices involve that anyway these days

It's not like they're sitting at home. The guys are all in the offices having meetings guaranteed. They're absolutely installing the game plan.

Watching a lot of game film I suppose. Drew, the throw was supposed to be at least within 5 yards of the receiver that is being targeted....we talked about this...

more than half his misses hit wrs in the hands

Timing was the big issue. Which was a combination of factors. Wrs too slow in and out of breaks, routing errors with coverage, ball not in the air at the right time etc

Toronto did a great job of disrupting our timing and we had no ability to recover.

Any thoughts on the natural turf affecting speed, timing etc of the receivers? There’s the obvious slips and falls but maybe there’s more to it when players are so finely tuned to artificial turf? I guess there was the sun as well… very bad in large parts of the field.

Biggest game of the year against the best team in the CFL in their stadium & fans & we take the day off. Frigging Osh.

They have the bloody off season to rest.

I don't think they are taking the day off- probably off field prep, film and installing their game plan. Then tomorrow go out and execute the new game plans.

Singer had one drop where the sun definitely ****** it up on him. The first into as well seemed like the turf monster caused a slip which resulted in the int. (I'd have challenged that though). Brady had a slip as well because of the grass

I will say that the whole stadium is NOT pro quality. You can see that Toronto executes very well on it, but a good part of that is from practicing on it each week. Very similar to Edmonton back in the day when they had natural grass. They also didn't let teams practice on it for a long time.

Yep. Saw DBs struggle with it, even the qbs at times. That place is a nuisance. It almost seems like they keep it that way too. With the massive increase to revenue coming up, the league really needs to force the argos into a proper home.

They don't need to be on the field to do that.

To install a game plan, no, but to get reps? Sure they do.

5 yards above the receiver's head is fine?

MLSE will just tell the CFL to pound sand.

It's long past due for the League to tell MLSE to kick rocks. Might be time for the league to give up on the city itself and move out to the GTA or something similar. Nothing that happens will ever bring back the peak crowds of the 90s.

Bombers due for a good game?

...well, I think they've had one all season, so...... Maybe?

So funny the over reaction. Listen I’m a fan of the players practising through out the season but what is jogging in pads in November going to do for you when it’s week 23. At this point everyone is hurting, everyone is going to be prepared as they’re going to be, they’re not going to be coming out in any new packages. They just have to go out there and execute on game day.

Then we have two questions. Where in the GTA will a new stadium be built & who mpays for it?

this is exactly a game where you should/could install something new or a new variation of something....but standing pat and complacency here is the norm

You can also practice some fundamentals...hone your skills like catching..(jugs machines are a thing and no need for a QB to throw needlessly) ...do some non-contact tackling techniques to help our piss poor technique there on many guys....Use some 45 degree box drills....hammer in their minds where and when to accelerate...or break down their pursuit and close space....simple things that based on a lot of what we seen this yr we lack bigtime and obviously neglect...tag drills...etc

Our fundamentals in that aspect save for a dew guys really sucksass...There is all kinds of stuff that can be done that isnt gonna burn anyone out..and that all kinda factors into your last sentence "go out and execute on gameday"

Mental reps sure are fine...but actually walking it out on a field...confirming benchmarks....actually seeing it....all things that should be done and not neglected regardless of point in season...WE have a lazy staff and coddle too much....

My lifetime this is the time of year where you actually really put nose to it in lead up to a game in playoffs...or trying to get in...not here tho..

New owners, which ever sprawling suburb/city outside the GTA offers the best option
