Can we give Kramdi some credit. This forum keeps crapping on him and I don’t get it. He’s no all star but he’s by no means a liability.

Brown’s interview is perfect. “Well we won…we didn’t play very well”

FTR, I’ve decided to remove ppl who consistently repeat the same thing.

Tracker, you’re safe for now. Getting close tho.

how do you remove yourself?....😁

Given O'Shea's tendency to play favourites at the expense of the team's success and Eli's college resume, I would be confident in thinking that Eli has never had a good shot at being a starter. Let Eli play himself into a consistent starter's role at center or move on. God knows, there is no way he could be worse than Kolankowski or Elsbury.

You think O’Shea, the guy who consistently plays more Canadians than required, is showing bias to an American rookie over a Canadian we drafted?

There’s a very good chance he could be worse than Elsbury.

I think Manu if he gets cut by Detroit hangs around for another look/opportunity down south for this year. 2027 though he may be here.

Yes. The fact Osh playing an American over the Canadian says it all really. Eli isn’t a starter. He could be hurt but after 7 years of not starting, it’s obvious he’s not a starter. Ideal 6th oline tho. Eli is ok with that also since he keeps signing new deals to stick around as the 6th oline mainly.

who knows the scheme there...was one to do a 50 block and move to help with a double team...were they just to man up....so hard to say who if either effed up...but also both need to be more aware too...The push right into Dru was not a good look tho

Yeah I think Wallace is trying to do too much....or is too aggressive in trying to find a guy to engage...In pass pro he just needs to pop up...set his base and assess from there...He's athletic enough for a big load to do that...I sure he will learn that...well I hope

And yeah Mazz was solid...and he is a big mean ol machine...If we want to keep going 3 imports than slap him at guard and let Eli take over center...We would be better off I bet

I think Manu is gonna be out in an early wave...they now basically have him trying to see if he can be a guard, and have wrote him off at Tackle...basically a last gasp by Detroit, and he is down the depth at guard too...Big knock on him has been has shown no real development in getting lower and gaining leverage...too upright and just loses any leverage...strong and big but he's getting owned technique wise...Hoping no one takes a flier on him and those deficiencies up here wont be an issue.

He was essentially spending first 2 yrs learning the american game...he didn't progress then at tackle...he now on borrowed time

Havnt heard/seen much of Cline...but he was undrafted right?...so could be on early ticket outta town too

And amazing how we went from a position of strength with oline to one of the poorer ones in league in a blink

But paying money for aged and washed up vets on both sides of the ball to lose a Dobson...or fail to sign a FA cause we figured Kolo was good enough and payed him and others...diminishing what we could spend was a poor decision

I could see manu being tossed early, if it’s too early i think he will get another look. Hes got almost no chance in detroit.

Agree on wallace. I wouldn’t mind seeing him at rt and Broxton kick over to lt. Then if you get vanterpool in at G, just need C worked out.

Agree on maz too, he’s got that nasty grit you need inside. Hes a mauler who loves the battle. If vanterpool isn’t ready he’d be good to go back to. Or try to mold into a C.

Lots to agree with, and it really starts with Bryant. Knowing he was coming back this year and plopped back into his spot… I hoped he could at worst repeat his good to so-so performance of last year. Many feared the drop off but I think we’re all a little shocked at just how much pressure he’s allowing.

Add to that it seems the team can no longer rely on the left side for run blocking or a strong short yardage push, and it does look like it’s over for the GOAT.

Friday vs the Stamps DL could get extra ugly. Dru’s quick release probably his best protection vs those guys, and if there’s no run game to keep them honest, well I hope doesn’t get hurt.

Big Stan in my opinion is problem number 1 with the OL.

Since game 1, constant pressure coming from his side. Consistently really.

OL is the ultimate kind of unit, 1 dude struggling bad means everyone else trying to do more, ppl mention Wallace wanting to go left , he’s likely doing that because Stan is struggling so Wallace trying to cheat and help out a bit instead of just doing his job.

Osh Wont fix that problem tho. That’s Kyle’s job In the off season. It’s weird O’Shea prob recognized Bighill struggling but took KW not to sign him for Osh to really not play him. Stan is the same thing. You gotta think Osh sees it but just ignores it like he did with AB. Got Zach hurt. Prob Dru next.

Not just pressures too, it’s the penalties every game as well. If you’re getting flagged, grab em every time they get past you. refs in the cfl are not going to call one guy 4-5 times a game on the ol. they just won’t. It’s better to take a penalty then serve your qb up.

100% worried about calgary. That dl is insanely talented.

totally. Especially when you have young guys on the ol. Like booch said, they do too much like wallace is right now.

Worried about qb health in that game.

What makes it worse, is TC uses empty back sets all the time. That’s a good way to get your qb killed at the best of times.

honestly I’d take Lapo over Condell cuz Lapo would atleast use Brady more than 10 times a game. Brady is our best player. O should run through him. Dru throwing 40 times a game on average is wild.

Id say Griffin has been our best all yr.....But agree Jones prob had his best game here so far last night

Osh is an idiot....and from some his again stupid roster decisions...his inability to have his team come out prepared and kicking some butt...kina confirms it...There are a ton of issues we need to adress, and we would be prob the elite team again...but wins where we kinda lucked out...or squeeked by when we should have ran away with a game...glosses over it and he see's no issues....

yeah I didnt see that either...he was just not used....and when he was we ran him into KOLO.2.0 area of line...so was getting contact before even getting over l.o.s for most part...thats not on him

Plus Condell did nothing in any aspect of his game plan to set things up, for certain plays tpo really succeed...aka..the MCI run....that if used and set ip properly could be a huge play when we run it more often than not

i agree and my issue is the constant unpreparedness which is a common theme now....and at times next to zero adjusting...just the belief that it will work. You hit nail on had tho...We can be more critical of some things when say Dixon..Woodbey and Lawson are back...Maybe a position tweak in the LB/DB group...we have the horses in house..Osh just needs to recognize whats an issue and actually act on it...can he?...will he???

The offence needs a playmaker who is legit 1aaa...will help immensely and the import center idea should be stopped...the bang isn't worth the buck if losing an import elsewhere...Eli will be no worse than Elsbury/Kolo and if given the role and stays there will be fine. He was fine in his start here...but Elsbury was less than Wallace at guard

Back to tweaks on roster...ZC wouldnt have won us that game last night....and there wasnt some real revelation of an adjustment that got is the win...Dru Brown just got er done and you can see if you know what you looking for that many of his 4th quarter plays were all on him and not really on script...Kudus to him...especially working with what he's been handed

what was there...4...5 real bad drops?....worst group in league right now in it's current set up

We've been the worst in the CFL for at least two seasons now.

as the founder and president of the plop haters club back in the day it is painful to admit, but I agree. I actually think browns skill set would compliment lapos system really well. so would our tiny wr core.

The club needs to have a tough conversation with Big Stan. They won't but they need too.

it should’ve come at the end of last season tbh. Play into a spot, sit on the ir, or pack it in. that’s a discussion the mafia should’ve had internally. but they still won’t.

ever since schoen fell off. he was the straw that stirred the drink. bailey set the tone and did a lot for the culture too.

We miss Darvin Adams leadership as well. Funny how The Trinity will dump receivers who still can play but hold onto rapidly fading 36 year old Canadian DT's & 41 year old OT's until their legacies are completely destroyed. Guess the players Osh likes always get the benefit of the doubt.

Letting Adam Bighill fade to irrelevance and worse a liability was also a very bad look.

Why hasn't Bighill been honoured?? Maybe retiring his #4 would be appropriate as he'll have to wait years to be honoured in the Blue Bomber HOF & on the wall at PAS.

He was enamored with his big thighs..fell in love and that was game over..starter even if not earned..he wasn't best of the rest in camp.

I'm somewhat kidding...but also not..osh can't judge let alone evaluate talent in a way that gets you the best player

Yeah...not a fan of those empty sets..and how we place BO in them for most part pretty much eliminates him..ultra dumb

I think people are using short term memory in regards to Brady's usage. We weren't complaining about this prior to this weekend, when we got down 26-9 and needed to pass for chunk plays. I'm not overly concerned about Brady's usage just yet.

Let's find out. If Eli is permanently damaged goods, we need to look elsewhere. He may have some trade value.

this ankle injury has been going one most of camp and through 7 weeks, And clearly still isn’t very close to full health. I don’t think he’d pass physical for a trade

The game was basically tied until right before half time. Brady had 5 touches in the first half. It's just not part of Condell's philosophy to consistently run the ball.

For a lot of the last 2 seasons Ottawa basically didn't even play with a running back.

Because we have so many Canadian depth OL knocking on the door.

lol. Trade Eli for a 5th rd pick. I mean what the ****. Dude isn’t a starter on any team.

Brady Oliveira only had 9 touches last week. Perhaps we should trade him as well.

yeah...minimal reps for now to keep him playing...hopefully he heals up and they make the switch..This pereption he been here 6 yrs and couldnt "win" the job id a load of crap. Osh and his coaches felt he was the best option as the 6th and the role h plays...and he is best in league at it, not that he didnt earn the job...they didnt wanna give it to him and Osh just liked Kolo and well you know the rest...if he has a favorite for whatever reason...he plays that guy even if not best option

Also we had of late no real option for a viable 6th as if it was Kolo...he is only good for one spot...s shitttty center so an injury anywhere else on the line would mean 2...3 changes in position...not ideal

I agree with you that Osh's player decisions have been a problem, and that Eli would be no worse than Kolo or Elsbury. But, I'm saying that "no worse" is not good enough. I'd take every starting center in the CFL, and some of the back ups, before Kolo, Elsbury or Eli. That's the issue. Can't win a Cup with a revolving door at center. And Eli's impressive college resume was in 2017. He missed all of 2018 with an injury. And has been injured a lot, including now, as a pro. I think with this much evidence, I wouldn't bet on him ever being an above average CFL center. I wouldn't even bet on him being a regular full time starter. Believe me, I loved the idea of Eli when he first showed up here. The reality is it hasn't happened. Time to upgrade at center.
