Heard yesterday morning out of Regina a Rider player had been in a wreck and that it was likely the Rider players fault, didn't know who until afternoon. Then a lot of locals went off on a "brown guy

I think Lewis's play has suffered, because of the lack of talent in Ottawa around him...I say bring him in on a deal favourable to both sides ....he makes our receiving corps gain some respectability AND he can actually catch

I always said we need another American receiver in the lineup so if you can get him for the remainder off the season at a pro rated ticket why not try.

Ottawa has offensive talent but they are atrocious in the trenches, especially in pass pro.

Lewis is cooked and also a little too used to being a loser.

Sooooooo, what your saying he's a perfect fit here????

Lewis old contract is irrelevant..we could pick him up with a friendly deal for both sides

He also shouldn't be judged for what's gone on in Ottawa...and the dude isnt cooked...just in a bad place

Would he upgrade us...most definitely...would he open up space for our top guys..again..definitely

And I sure he would come in with a point to prove too...to not pick him up if for anythung just to see...is proof positive we going nowhere with this coaching and management crew.. as they see no desire to get better and think things are good...and considering this is a bye week...its the perfect scenario as he could be inserted 1st game back

Agreed. He ought to be a darned good mentor who leads by example. If memory serves, he is a player who doesn't take plays off. We desperately need a receiver who fights for the ball other than Demski. Probably not gonna happen between O'Shea's rigid attitude and Walters' inertness.

At this point we should at least be talking to Lewis, even if he is not the player he used to be he would add something the current receiving core is lacking , so sign him if at all possible even if it might be a slight overpay. Who knows he may revive his career and be a great 3rd option for a couple more years.

How was Lewis last season cuz Zach and Dru are pretty much the same QB when healthy, Zach hasn’t been in years tho, he doesn’t run. He’d be 6 gamed so fast the last few games it would have been crazy. But how was Eugene last year? Cuz QB? Check. OC from Ottawa? Check. Are we gonna can JY and bring in Fields to fully become the 2025 Ottawa Redblacks? Does Ottawa have a tackle ? They have one of our former guards.

I think the biggest need on O is oline. If the QB can’t get 2 seconds before he’s being pressured, does geno in his prime even matter? Nevermind probably past it.

the guy with the best opinion on the Geno Lewis question is already in the org. If Dru Brown says "bring in Geno" then bring in Geno. If Dru Brown says "don't bring in Geno" then we should not bring in Geno. Dru is gonna know exactly where Geno is at.

Dru and Tommy but Tommy is 50 plus ffs. Tom Condell. Thomas even now.

Very true....as long as they had a fair to good relationship in Ottawa....Can't imagine Dru being nasty with anybody or vice-versa concerning Gino....Lewis would be worth a shot...Remember a play when we played Ottawa in the overtime....Lewis came up with a great catch as I recall in the endzone, extending the overtime period...He can still play top ball

Geno was a 1000 yard receiver last year and had his best games when Dru was healthy.

Even if his new top end is 800 yards what is wrong with that? No one here is suggesting we sign him as a number one option.

Let's say one of our starters gets injured. Would you rather replace them with Corky or Geno? I know my answer.

Exactly..he is a guy to augment the group with experience and big play ability..and give us some size and another option...not be a focal point of offence

Corcoran should never see roster

Only allowed into the stadium if he buys a ticket. Cobb is no hell but way better and since we have Clercius back, there is no reason for Corcoran to darken the Bombers' door.

Corky is the obvious answer. He has the needed intangibles.

good ole slowy corcoran.

Its as obvious as could be that Lewis would help our offence. Let's see if Walters does his job.

There is no rational reason why we wouldn't vigorously pursue him. History with Condell/Brown..check. Need by the Bombers..check. Tenured vet we could use as a naturalized IMP if we wanted..check. Its a no brainer.

I could not foresee circumstance where our coaches would not welcome some receiver talent.

How many of those holes can be replaced by a player who was just released and is now available on the open market? You take the improvements that are available.

You mean we should have traded for Chris Kolankowski to get him back? ;)

I highly doubt Geno Lewis would make us worse. I see no downside to bringing him in.

If only stats told the whole story but they dont. With every stat line there is context that must go with it. Sometimes a poor stat line for a receiver tells a lot more about the overall roster/usage then it does about the receiver.

You mean, like Adarius Bowman? Remember his signing? What a waste of money that was. About the same age with declining stats as well. Spend money on defense & build it back up first. If they even do that.

Barbara Corcoran from Judy Lindsey realty would offer more as I said before

Cobb I am okay with as canadian depth behind the top 3..he has purpose and really if/when on field if we used him in jet motion he would garner attention and allow us presnap to see who is covering...and one our vet receivers could see that open space and exploit it..that could be too complicated tho for TC

Cobb does also have dependable hands and can do something after the catch if used appropriately...plus he won't hurt you on returns if pressed into duty

He's catching just over half of the balls thrown to him this year. Does that tell the whole story? Nope, but it does tell part of it for sure. The part where he was cut IMO. He's been pretty much invisible this year. That's from me, who watches all the games; it's not stat-related.

I get it. You like the guy, so you're willing to ignore his play this year and the stats don't matter.
