Heard yesterday morning out of Regina a Rider player had been in a wreck and that it was likely the Rider players fault, didn't know who until afternoon. Then a lot of locals went off on a "brown guy

Hamilton is cooked without BLM. The reality is their 1st rd pick would have to be involved in a hypothetical Zach trade, it would be prob 1st plus roster player. Debate who that roster player would be but if in some glitch world where we traded Zach, after trading our own 1st for a QB, we definitely getting a 1st back.

You're pretty hung up on a guy who hasn't accomplished much of anything in the CFL.

Fact is the tican'ts went and signed Ford as a backup.... That they don't seem to embrace that is the issue here.

Of all th new QB's the last 2..3 yrs Powell showed the most in limited time, and you could see from his games he knew what was going on...was cool and poised in pocket...could make all the throws...just needed reps...Kinda like how Dru looked with us after his 1st yr...Powell looked better actually his rookie yr

Ford, thats not the ideal backup and his yrs now in league.....we seen his peak...not a smart move....Coulda had their Qb in waiting signed for same or similar money and be in a way better spot of they signed Ezequiel Powell...Thats his name correct? 😁

You would be surprised, a never has been. Drew Willy, who was injured, shell shocked from the beating he took in Winnipeg got a first round pick, third round pick, and an all star DB (TJ Heath) never under estimate what a gm will do to salvage a season. Zach at least gives Hamilton a chance, they are doing absolutely nothing with what they have right now.

Desperate teams will make bad reades...or ones they would have gave less if circumstances were different....If they are really tanking and its cause they dont have a legit vet QB...Anything can happen....I'd start Dru this week too even if ZC was close...to see if the one game wasnt an abberation and if he just works here as a legit QB1....I have zero doubts in him just from the eye test last week watching him pre snap...then navigate the pocket and the ease and confidence in his throws....and his general calm demeanor

ZC in same system looks almost always panicked and rushed....and at times his throws are from real bad mechanics and set up...cause he more worried about getting ball away in self preservation than letting things really develop

Like I said. Maybe Dru and TP cuz yeah, not much playing time for Powell

Dru just got more. Zach would get that also easily because coaches love veteran QBs. All of us here can say Zach is washed but washed Zach is better than what Hamilton currently has. I don’t think they would trade Zach, bombers wouldn’t do him dirty in his likely final season. But Elgersma would be an interesting conversation.

You guys need to actually read what that trade was.

Bombers traded their 1st in 27 for their 2nd in 27…so downgraded a pick 9 spots.

Traded a conditional 2nd in 28 that depends on Brown’s starts this season and if he re-signs upgrades to a 1st.

What bearing does this have on today.

Steven Jyles was traded for Ricky Ray. Should Hamilton just trade Tre Ford for Trevor Harris?

Worst trade in CFL history. Ray for Jyles, a kicker and a draft pick that ended up being traded down to get Justin Cappicotti iirc.

Funny how they signed Ford yet MIlanovich doesn't have the trust in him to play him.

I honestly think bombers might have got tired of Lawlers **** or baggage. Especially after his DUI incident. I mean, at some point you just gotta prob let a guy go. for his sake even. Now he’s getting paid to catch balls from dole and ford. That’s prob ok with Kenny cuz $$$ is what drives him. It’s all good. No hard feelings there. Careers are short. I get it.

Lawler's just a different kind of cat. (Pardon the pun). When he was interviewed at halftime by TSN ecently, he looked totally disinterested. No eye contact at all. It was like he was talking to shadows. Kind of reminds me of the way Allen Pitts used to be when he dealt with the media the same way. Totally disengaged. There's a reason why Doug Flutie won the CFL MOP award in 1995 instead of Pitts despite racking up over 2100 yards receiving. He wasn't well liked by the local Calgary media because he didn't like them. It was more of an eff you to Pitts than anythiong else.

Was Ford a GM choice or a Coach choice? Maybe the coach doesn't want him.

Maybe he's just not comfortable with Tre's strengths?

Argos cut DeWayne Hendrix. Would be an upgrade over Fletcher.

Massive upgrade even if he is only a 80% of what he was at his best. And for a guy who just hit 30, I bet he is much better than that.

Is he even at 80% of his best? He's been cut twice in the last year

BC and TO both have very good interior DLs.

BC has picked up Sayles and Hendrix was due an off-season bonus so that played a big part in his release there.

Hendrix has stunk since the Argos didn't pay him the first time.

Not a fan of Fletcher though. We need someone who can fire off and not get moved around so easily. But seems like we want to expand the Willie J basketball defense strategy rather than pressure and fill gaps.

Much better run stopping the past few weeks with a lot more Kornelson and Lawson or 30 front with one of them head up on 1st downs.

I'd honestly pop Jenkins inside because he just seems a little slower this year but has that explosive first step. Might be impactful.

Not sure what you see Korn doing...he hasnt made a play or registered a stat yet...gets either blown off the line backwards or locked up and cant disengage

Lawson tho has been stout and gets penetration and has made some plays, or had hand in a play being made

The last 2 games we haven't been as chaotic in the substituting multiple guys every snap, so that has helped I think

Agree that we could/should try Jenkins inside...he's powerful enough to fit there. And if thats not his niche we should be looking/bringin in some guys

I think when Dixon is ready...with Lawson and Ceresna, WJ...Reese...Gatkouth thats 6 pretty versatile and interchangeable guys for multiple fronts, and hopefully Schemck heals sooner than later so we can bump Korn right outta town.

But be ideal to find ourselves another true inside guy who can be effective and actually DA him and not waste that spot like we did last week...on a no snaps in game plug who offers zip on defence...no way he would have got a snap ahead of the other 7 LB's

Anyone else here think Davis Alexander's hamstring he came up lame on vs Calgary is gonna be a bigger deal than people think? Its the same hamstring he tore last season (3rd degree), may put him out a handful of games.

I don't think Alexander had surgery while trying tio rehab the thing. He may have to if the hamstring injury has become chronic.

I have a feeling he reinjures it quite badly in his next game, he mildly tweaked it but its still the same hammy as last year. We shall see I guess, could make the east very tight if anything does happen.

Nothing like a chronic hamstring injury to make a player ponder early retirement if it won't go away.

Hammies are such a hard thing to keep healthy after you have a serious injury. Slow healing time and they can't be rushed even a little. I'm sure the Als won't risk his season if he is not 100%.

And some (soccer) fans were wondering why Alphonso Davies got so little game time during the WC. Anyone think that Bayern Munich management had "input" into his usage during the WC?

I think their medical team definitely did.

I think the concern will Alexander is that he's never going to be healthy.

Surgery can probably fix it but if they went that route then Alexander's season is over. The problem is backup Dustin Crum isn't likely to get it done if he took over.

I just have a bad feeling they're gonna have Davis start this weekend and its not gonna end well off of a scramble or roll out.

That's on Jason Maas but they know they may only win another 3 or 4 games with Crum starting. All the more reason we hang on to Zach & not trade him.
